A coupled model is developed to investigate the dynamic interaction between an offshore pile, a porous seabed and seawater when subjected to the pseudo-Stoneley wave along the seabed and the seawater interface. The pile and the seabed are treated as the porous medium governed by Biot's theory, while the seawater is considered as an acoustic medium and is described by the conventional Helmholtz equation. The free field solution of the incident pseudo-Stoneley wave is obtained using Biot's theory and the potential method. Based on the boundary element method (BEM) for the porous medium and the acoustic medium, three BEM formulations are constructed for the pile, the seabed and the seawater, respectively, which are combined together using the continuity conditions between the pile, the seabed and the seawater to formulate the coupled model for the system. As shown in numerical examples, when the system is subjected to the pseudo-Stoneley wave, the maximum pore pressure of the seabed usually occurs at the region near the interfaces between the seabed and the seawater. 相似文献

The article describes a new form of transnational environmental conflict that developed in the wake of globalisation. Activist in this new type of conflict still act as proxies of groups under pressure but in contrast to transnational environmental conflicts hitherto the target of their protests is rather their own society at home than the location of the pressured group. Despite these conditions it is claimed that this type of metaphorical conflict is going to become more frequent as alliances are built along the oppostion to a dominant discourse. According to the model, conflicts of values are easier to transfer on stages abroad or across the Atlantic than conflicts of interests and motivation for activists is higher as the return is affecting their home society. 乌东德水电站是金沙江下游河段上4个水电梯级的最上游梯级,大坝为265 m高的双曲拱坝。采用非线性有限元法,将拱坝坝体-坝基作为一个整体系统,在考虑坝体横缝影响及无限地基辐射阻尼影响基础上,模拟坝肩控制性滑块各滑裂面在地震作用下张开、滑移的非线性力学行为,研究设计与校核地震作用下大坝的抗震性能,探讨大坝-坝基整体系统在强震作用下的抗震潜力。研究结果表明:设计地震条件下,坝体仅在拱端应力集中区域拉应力超过抗拉强度,压应力则均满足强度要求,坝肩块体稳定,大坝-坝基体系的整体安全性可以保证;校核地震条件下,坝体应力值略有增加,能够满足不溃坝的设防要求;以大坝-坝基代表性的位移、变形量变化曲线的拐点作为评价极限抗震能力的标准,可知拱坝-坝基体系的抗震超载安全系数为2.7,相应的基岩水平向峰值加速度0.729g,拱坝-坝基体系抗剪参数强度储备安全系数为2.0,乌东德高拱坝具备较强的极限抗震能力。 相似文献

渤海的碎屑物质详细记录了源区的地质信息,对其进行物源示踪研究有助于提高我们对周围造山带及黄河的演化、中国东部陆架海碎屑物质扩散等的认识。本文利用激光剥蚀电感耦合等离子质谱分别对辽东湾、渤海湾及莱州湾周围主要汇入河流的碎屑磷灰石进行原位微量元素分析,结合Kolmogorov-Smirnov统计方法的多维判别图与反向传播神经网络等方法,分析渤海主要汇入河流碎屑磷灰石的微量元素与稀土元素。结果表明在汇入渤海的主要河流中,碎屑磷灰石的微量元素主要以Sr元素与Y元素为主,且都出现较为明显的HREE富集,但在不同河流之间的碎屑磷灰石Sr元素与REE也存在一定差异,这可能与其母岩不同相关。 相似文献

Difficulties are involved in discrete element method (DEM) modelling of the flexible boundary, that is, the membranes covering the soil sample, which can be commonly found in contemporary laboratory soil tests. In this paper, a novel method is proposed wherein the finite difference method (FDM) and DEM are coupled to simulate the rubber membrane and soil body, respectively. Numerical plane strain and triaxial tests, served by the flexible membrane, are implemented and analysed later. The effect of the membrane modulus on the measurement accuracy is considered, with analytical formulae derived to judge the significance of this effect. Based on an analysis of stress-strain responses and the grain rotation field, the mechanical performances produced by the flexible and rigid lateral boundaries are compared for the plane strain test. The results show that (1) the effect of the membrane on the test result becomes more significant at larger strain level because the membrane applies additional lateral confining pressure to the soil body; (2) the tested models reproduce typical stress and volumetric paths for specimens with shear bands; (3) for the plane strain test, the rigid lateral boundary derives a much higher peak strength and larger bulk dilatation, but a similar residual strength, compared with the flexible boundary. The latter produces a more uniform (or ‘diffuse') rotation field and more mobilised local kinematics than does the former. The pipe network flow model can simulate the seepage process with DEM conveniently because of its simple algorithm. However, whether it can recover the correct seepage process has not been verified. In this paper, the equation to update the fluid pressure is rebuilt according to the flow conservation. Through the steady seepage simulation, this algorithm is verified to be able to recover Darcy’s law, and the equation to calibrate the aperture according to macro permeability is derived. Furthermore, the modified algorithm is used to simulate the unsteady seepage process, and the results show good agreement with the analytical solutions. 相似文献
