Wavelet decomposition is used to analyze barometric fluctuation and earth tidal response in borehole water level changes. We apply wavelet analysis method to the decomposition of barometric fluctuation and earth tidal response into several temporal series in different frequency ranges. Barometric and tidal coefficients in different frequency ranges are computed with least squares method to remove barometric and tidal response. Comparing this method with general linear regression analysis method, we find wavelet analysis method can efficiently remove barometric and earth tidal response in borehole water level. Wavelet analysis method is based on wave theory and vibration theories. It not only considers the frequency characteristic of the observed data but also the temporal characteristic, and it can get barometric and tidal coefficients in different frequency ranges. This method has definite physical meaning.  相似文献

Although the Re/Os isotopic system has proved to be a valuable aid in understanding the evolution of the Earth's mantle, interpretation of the data is currently hindered by limited knowledge of the high-temperature geochemical behaviour of Re. In particular, the extent to which Re in the mantle is hosted by sulphide or silicate phases is poorly known. We report the results of an experimental study of the solubility of Re in sulphide melts (called here “mattes”) coexisting with a Re-rich Re–Fe alloy in the system Fe–Re–S–O over a range of fO2, fS2 and temperatures, which allow extrapolation to conditions pertinent to the Earth's mantle. The solubility of Re in mattes increases with increasing fS2, with Re dissolving as Re4+ at high fS2 and Re0 at low fS2. The effect of fO2 is negligible except at high fO2 where O in the matte becomes important. At constant fS2, an increase in temperature leads to an increase in the solubility of Re0 in the matte, but a decrease in the solubility of Re4+. These results, coupled with data for the Re solubility in silicate melts taken from the literature, allow the calculation of Re matte/silicate–melt partition coefficients (DRematte/sil) for a range of conditions. The calculated DRematte/sil show a large dependence on fO2, and a lesser dependency on fS2, with Re behaving as a chalcophile element for relatively reduced MORB-type mantle and as a lithophile element for the oxidised sources of island-arc basalts. The sensitivity of Re to fS2 and fO2 reconciles the apparent discrepancies between previous estimates of this parameter, which can vary by more than five orders of magnitude within the range of fS2 and fO2 covered by terrestrial basaltic magmas.  相似文献

For magnetotelluric sounding (MT), many processing methods based on power spectrum have put forward lots of hypotheses, such as MT signals are Gaussian, linear and minimum-phase. If practical signals do not satisfy these requirements, the results will have a few problems as follows. Firstly, when signals are non-linear and non-Gaussian, the information of the earth contained in the MT signals cannot be sufficiently extracted; Secondly, when signals are non-Gaussian and non-minimum phase, the processed results cannot reflect the minimum phase characteristics of the signals. Hence, it is necessary for us to do further research on characteristics of MT signals (YAO, SUN, 1999; LI, CHENG, 2002; Nikias, Petropulu, 1993; ZHANG, 1996). Otherwise, we cannot judge the reliability of the processed results based on power spectrum.  相似文献

Latitude-lumped coefficients (LLC) are defined, representing geopotential-orbit variations for dual-satellite crossovers (DSC). Formulae are derived for their standard errors from the covariances of geopotential field models. Numerical examples are presented for pairs of the altimeter-bearing satellites TOPEX/Poseidon, ERS 1, and Geosat, using the error matrices of recent gravity models. The DSC, connecting separate missions, will play an increasingly important role in oceanography spanning decades only when its nonoceanographic signals are thoroughly understood. In general, the content of even the long-term averaged DSC is more complex then their single satellite crossover (SSC) counterpart. The LLC, as the spatial spectra for the geopotential-caused crossover effects, discriminate these source-differences sharply. Thus, the zero-order LLC in DSC data contains zonal gravity information not present in SSC data. In addition, zero- and first-order LLC of DSC data can reveal a geocenter discrepancy between the orbit tracking of the separate satellite missions. For example, DSC analysis from orbits computed with JGM 2 show that the y-axis of the geocenter for Geosat in 1986–1988 is shifted with respect to T/P by 6–9 cm towards the eastern Pacific. Also, where the time-gap is necessarily large (as between, say, Geosat and T/P missions) oceanographic (sea-level) differences in DSC may corrupt the geopotential interpretation of the data. Most importantly, as we illustrate, media delays for the altimeter (from the ionosphere, wet troposphere and sea-state bias) are more likely sources of contamination across two missions than in SSC analyses. Again, the LLC of zero order best shows this contrast. Using the higher-order LLC of DSC for both Geosat-T/P and ERS 1-T/P as likely representation of geopotential-only error, we show by comparison with the predicted standard errors of JGM 2 that the latter's previously calibrated covariance matrix is generally valid. 进一步提高瞬变电磁法对地探测的解释精度,提出了回线源瞬变电磁成像原理及数值计算方法. 讨论了频率域中水平层状介质中瞬变电磁响应,得到一个以波阻抗为积分核的双重积分式;然后对水平层介质下电磁场的解进行上、下行波分离,得到含有以反射系数序列为未知的线性方程组,并给出了求取波阻抗和反射系数的数值解法:对实测磁场值进行域的变换,以均匀半空间下的等效波阻抗代替积分核函数,经过线性数字滤波后,在频率域求出等效波阻抗;把频率域中的波阻抗转换到时间域,以此为参数,构建方程组,在时间域用线性规划法求出反射系数序列. 最终以反射系数为参数进行成像. 对理论模型的数值计算结果表明,用本文提出的成像方法可以增强瞬变电磁法识别地下电性分界面的能力.  相似文献

The results of numerical models or of new observational programs are checked by comparing them with past observations. Also, it is desirable that the eddy diffusion coefficients used in two-dimensional models be derived from the same data set as the circulation statistics which the model outputs are checked against, so that all results refer to the same atmospheric conditions. For the first time, the three components of the eddy diffusion matrix, from 30–60 km, 80°N–10°S are computed, together with the means, variances and covariances of the wind and temperature through the same region using the same data set for 1960–76 and the same handling and analysis methods for all variables. Horizontal diffusivities,K yy , are obtained from the variance and integral time scale of the meridional wind speed. The present values are generally smaller than past estimates, presumably because temporal variations longer than a month have been removed in this work. Estimates ofK yz are based on the tentative assumption that the diffusivity is proportional to the slope of isentropic surfaces, and estimates ofK zz are based on the assumption that small-scale gravity waves are primarily responsible for vertical mixing.  相似文献

Partitioning behavior between amphibole and silicate glass of thirty-three minor and trace elements(Sc,Ti, V, Cr, Co, Rb, Sr, P, Y, Zr, Nb, Cs, Ba, K, La, Ce, Pr,Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Hf, Ta, Pb,Th, and U) have been determined experimentally. Products of crystallization of hydrous basalt melts from 0.6 GPa/860 °C up to 2.6 GPa/970 °C were obtained in a multianvil apparatus. Major and trace element compositions of amphibole and glass were determined with a combination of electron microprobe and laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. The main mineral phase is calcic amphibole, and the coexisting glass compositions are tonalite, granodiorite, and granite. The compatibility of rare earth elements increase at 915 °C and then decrease at 970 °C, but the compatibility of most of these elements shows a continued, significant increase with increasing pressure. For high-field strength elements, large ion lithophile elements, actinide compatibility decrease with increasing temperature or pressure, but transition metals show a continued increase in compatibility within the temperature–pressure conditions. From mathematical and graphical fitting, we determined best-fit values for the ideal ionic radius(r_0, 1.01–1.04 ?), the strain-free partitioncoefficient(D_0, 1.18–1.58), and apparent Young's modulus(E, 142–370 GPa) for the M4 site in amphibole according to the lattice strain model. The D_0M4 for rare earth elements rises at 915 °C and then drops at 970 °C at 0.6 GPa.However, the D_0M4 values are positively proportional to the pressure for rare earth elements in the amphibole-glass pairs at 0.6–2.6 GPa and 970 °C. Furthermore, the derived best-fit values for r_0M4 and EM4 are almost constant and trend to increase with rising temperature and pressure,respectively. The partition coefficient is distinctly different for different melt compositions. The rare earth elements become more enriched in amphibole if the quenched glass is granodiorite or granite compared to the tonalitic glasses.  相似文献

From a set of turbulence data collected with a three-axis sonic anemometer/thermometer and described in a companion paper, we simulate the eddy-accumulation process for sensible heat and momentum fluxes. The resulting eddy-accumulation coefficient for momentum clearly depends on surface-layer stability; at neutral stability, its value is 0.63. On supplementing the scalar eddy-accumulation coefficients that we derive from our sensible heat flux data with values of sensible and latent heat flux coefficients reported by Businger and Oncley, we also find that scalar eddy-accumulation coefficients depend on stability, though more weakly than does the momentum coefficient. The coefficients for sensible and latent heat show no significant difference; we, thus, fit them with one function of stability whose value is 0.52 for neutral stratification.  相似文献
