The variability of the pathway of the Kuroshio is known to control that of the intensity of upwelling of the cold and nutrient-rich deep shelf water at the shelf-break point. This study has investigated the influences of the long-term variability of the hydrographical and biogeochemical conditions at the shelf-break point on those in the inner Seto Inland Sea. Results from observations conducted since 1972 by prefectural fisheries observatories showed a temporary decrease of temperature in the lower layer of the entrance of Kii Channel in summertime in the specific years when the Kuroshio pathway favored deep shelf water intrusion. A corresponding change in temperature was also found in the inner shelf sea, such as western Osaka Bay and Harima-Nada. The model developed in this study covers a 30-year period and well reproduces the temporal change in temperature. It also shows sufficient reproducibility in both seasonal behavior of hydrographical and biogeochemical properties and the inter-annual variability of hydrographical properties throughout the eastern Seto Inland Sea. It was found that the inter-annual variations of annual total flux through the section at the entrance to Kii Channel affect the inter-annual variation of the observed concentration of Dissolved Inorganic Nitrogen (DIN) in Harima Nada, but the effect was smaller than those of river input and other parameters.  相似文献

The origins and evolutions of two anticyclonic eddies in the northeastern South China Sea (SCS) were examined using multi-satellite remote sensing data, trajectory data of surface drifting buoys, and in-situ hydrographic data during winter 2003/2004. The results showed that buoy 22918 tracked an anti-cyclonic warm-core eddy (AE1) for about 20 days (December 4–23, 2003) in the northeastern SCS, and then escaped from AE1 eventually. Subsequently to that, buoy 22517 remained within a different anti-cyclonic warm-core eddy (AE2) for about 78 days (from January 28 to April 14, 2004) in the same area. It drifted southwestward for about 540 km, and finally entered into the so-called “Luzon Gyre”. Using inference from sea level anomaly (SLA), sea surface temperature (SST), geostrophic currents and the buoys’ trajectories, it is shown that both eddies propagated southwestward along the continental slope of the northern SCS. The mean speeds of AE1 and AE2 movements were 9.7 cm/s and 10.5 cm/s, respectively, which are similar to the phase speed of Rossby waves in the northern SCS. The variation of instantaneous speeds of the eddy movement and intensity of anticyclonic eddy may suggest complex interactions between an anticyclonic eddy and its ambient fluids in the northern SCS, where the eddy propagated southwestward with Rossby waves. Furthermore, SLA and SST images in combination with the temperature and salinity profiles obtained during a cruise suggested that AE1 was generated in the interior SCS and AE2 was shed from the “Kuroshio meander”.  相似文献

The Hind Sandstone Member of the Carboniferous Craven Basin occurs within a thick succession of marine mudstone and is here interpreted as a sandstone injectite complex. Injectites take the form of (i) sills; (ii) upwards emplaced dykes; (iii) downwards emplaced dykes; (iv) a sedimentary laccolith; and (v) sandstone bodies remobilised in-situ. The remobilised and injected sand originated from small turbidite scour fills and potentially a more significant sand body such as a submarine slope gully fill. The sedimentary laccolith appears to jack-up the units it injects, and is filled by sandstone with a chaotic fabric suggestive of brecciation of partly cemented sand. The laccolith and sill-dominated nature are suggestive of relatively shallow remobilisation. Sills are commonly laterally gradational with upwards emplaced dykes, and in some cases these feed apparently downwards emplaced dykes. A series of flow structures are preserved within some of the injectites, and these provide clues to the emplacement history. Crack propagation direction is inferred from the orientation of undulating crests developed on the upper and lower surfaces of injectites. Peak-flow is indicated by scour marks, resembling flute and tool marks, which are superimposed onto these undulating surfaces. Internal flow structures highlighted by pyrite mineralistion record the waning stage of injection. The observed flow structures suggest that the apparent crack propagation direction was generally oblique to the peak flow, and nearly perpendicular to the direction of late-stage fluidised sediment flow. Crack propagation relates to the local stress field, whilst injection flow may be related to the local pore pressure distribution. Recognition of this suite of structures may provide a useful interpretational tool for other injectites in both core and outcrop. Pore fluid overpressure which drove injection developed through the migration of petroleum and mineralising fluids from the underlying Bowland Shales and older limestones. A complex brecciated fracture network within the mudstones underlying the injectites records fluid migration pathways. Sliced blocks and thin sections from injectites reveal flow structures defined by iron pyrite mineralisation. The trigger is here related to growth of compressional structures and associated syn-sedimentary slumps which occur at the same stratigraphic level as the injectites.  相似文献

根据2008年最新监测数据,对青岛新河地区的海水入侵特征进行了分析研究,根据氯离子质量浓度与降雨量和水位的关系,分析了新河地区海水入侵主要影响因素是超采地下水,并认为新河地区海水入侵日益严重,近年来有加快趋势,入侵方向为由NW往SE方向推进,海水入侵范围已基本侵染整个新河地区。同时,根据新河地区降雨量、自然地理、社会经济和海水入侵灾害主要诱发因素等情况,提出了防治措施及建议。  相似文献

In this numerical model for simulating the Kuroshio intrusion into the East and South China Seas, vertically averaged marine hydrodynamic equations governing ocean currents and long-period waves are approximated by a set of two-time-level semi-implicit fimite difference equations. The major terms including the local acoeleration, sea-surface slope, Coriolis force and the bottom friction are approximated with the Crank-Nicholson scheme, which is of second order accuracy. The advection terms are approximated with the Leith scheme. The difference equations are split into two sets of alternating direction implicit equations, each of which has a tridiagonal matrix and can be easily solved. The model reproduces a major Kuroshio intrusion north of Luzon Island, one north of Taiwan Island, and one west of the Tokara Strait. The model shows a current system running from the Luzon Strait to the coast of Vietnam and Hainan Island, through the Taiwan Strait and then into the Tsushima Strait. The summer and winter monsoons generate several eddies in the South China Sea. Project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.  相似文献

利用中尺度数值模式MM5(V3),对2003年7月4日20时至5日20时发生在江淮地区的一次梅雨锋暴雨过程进行模拟,并采用模式输出的具有较高分辨率和动力协调性的网格资料,就干空气侵入及其对暴雨过程的作用进行了诊断研冤。结果表明,此次暴雨过程中有明显的干空气侵入,且干空气侵入对暴雨过程产生重要作用:干空气侵入将对流层高层高位涡带入低层,促进了对流层低层气旋及对流运动的发展,继而引起降水的增强。  相似文献

利用常规、自动气象站、NCEP/NCAR再分析资料(1°×1°,逐6h)和WRF模式逐小时资料,对2010年6月30日—7月2日山东省暴雨过程的落区进行了分析.结果表明:本次暴雨过程具有暖区暴雨和冷区暴雨两种特征.暖区暴雨强度强、范围广、落区集中,位于925 hPa经向切变线右侧或者低涡的东南象限“人”字型切变线内、暖温度脊后部、地面低压前部南风区内;冷区暴雨区强度弱、范围小、落区分散,位于925 hPa经向切变线左侧、冷温度槽前、地面低压后部北风区内.冷区和暖区暴雨均位于大气可降水量大于70 kg/m^2的区域、低空急流顶端的左侧.低空急流与强降水同时开始或者低空急流提前1h开始,降水强度最大时段出现在850 hPa风速跃增后1~3h.只有冷区暴雨时,冷空气较弱,冷锋伸展高度较低,暴雨区位于冷锋后部θse锋区前沿、θse暖脊脊线顶点、强上升运动中心.冷区与暖区暴雨共存时,冷暖空气势力均比只有冷区暴雨时强,冷锋伸展高度较高,冷区与暖区暴雨均位于强上升运动中心南侧1个纬距内风速辐合处.只有暖区暴雨时,冷空气较强,冷锋伸展高度较高,暴雨区位于冷锋前1个纬距内、θse暖脊脊线与地面交点、上升运动中心.低层向北倾斜锋区的南北跨度与中层向南倾斜锋区的南北跨度的差值大小,直接影响上升运动的强度和暴雨区的分布.  相似文献

以2012年7月15日凌晨榆林地区一次短时强降水过程为研究对象,利用NCEP 1°×1°再分析资料、FY-2E卫星资料及常规气象观测资料,通过卫星水汽图像和大气动力场相结合的方法揭示冷涡影响下降水过程中干侵入的特征及其对短时强降水发生、发展的作用机制。结果表明:此次短时强降水过程中干侵入特征明显,卫星水汽图像上的黑体亮温高值区与干冷区相对应,干冷区的伸入使得对流云团边缘亮温梯度增大,同时对流云团发展;干侵入与对流层高层的下沉运动、高值位涡以及干冷区相对应,因干冷空气叠加在暖湿气流之上,在强降水区上空出现了对流不稳定层结,为短时强降水的发生创造了有利的环境条件。另外,此次降水过程水汽条件主要集中在对流层低层,风场辐合带来的短时间水汽辐合为短时强降水集聚了一定的水汽条件。在地面中尺度辐合线的触发作用下,将不稳定层结中包含水汽的气块抬升,从而形成降水。  相似文献

利用数字化的6.7,um卫星水汽图像资料、NCEP/NCAR逐6小时1°×1°再分析等资料和干侵入、位涡理论,对2007年3月3—5日引发渤海强风暴潮的黄河气旋发展过程进行了天气动力学分析,揭示干侵人在爆发性黄河气旋中的特征和作用。结果表明:本次渤海强风暴潮是发生在泰米尔半岛附近不稳定小槽东移发展,东亚大槽重建的过程中,是对流层高层干侵入下沉引起黄河气旋爆发性发展产生强东北大风所致。干侵入具有高位势涡度特征,高位涡区和水汽图像上的暗区形态及强度变化特征对气旋生命史不同阶段有预报指示意义。干冷和暖湿气流沿着等熵面Ω型皱折带南北流动,使得等熵面陡峭程度加大,大气的斜压性增强;尽管高层干侵入在下沉过程中会产生增温效应,但在下沉运动和强冷平流效应的共同作用下,地面气旋的上空出现水平方向温度比临近地区低的现象,大气静力稳定度减小,绝对涡度(ζ_p+f)增大,促使中低层气旋性涡度发展,垂直上升运动迅速加强,导致地面气旋强烈发展。  相似文献
