Whitespotted conger Conger myriaster is a commercially important species in the seas around China, Korea and Japan. The coastal waters of China serve as an important feeding ground for congers, but the spatio-temporal variations in the fishery and biological characteristics of the population have been rarely evaluated and less well understood in this area. We studied the growth, spawning and feeding characteristics of C. myriaster on the basis of samples collected from October 2016 to April 2017 in the Yellow Sea and East China Sea. A total of 529 specimens were collected, with ages ranging from 1 to 6 years and total length ranging from 132 mm to 834 mm.The parameters of von Bertalanffy growth equation L_∞ and k were 1 026 mm and 0.226 a~(–1), respectively; the sex ratio was 88:0(female: male) in the East China Sea and 2.67:1 in the South Yellow Sea; the development stage of ovary ranged from peri-nucleolus stage to secondary yolk globule stage, and the testis of two males was at midmeiotic stage; Crustacean was the major prey for conger of small length, and food source shift to fish with somatic growth. The results showed substantial differences from previous studies in Japan and Korean waters, as well as from China seas in the 1980 s, suggesting potential spatiotemporal changes in the biological characteristics of C.myriaster. This study may improve current understanding of the fishery biology of C. myriaster in the Yellow Sea and East China Sea.  相似文献

安徽庐(江)枞(阳)火山岩盆地东北部地区金的背景值明显地受不同级别火山机构控制。矾山-黄屯-级火山机构形成的火山岩建造,其含金值均较低;盆地内小岭和钟子山二级火山机构形成的火山岩建造,其含金值明显很高。黄铁矿化、铁矿化和次生石英岩化有利于金的富集,二级火山机构均为隐爆角砾岩筒,岩浆热液活动强烈;一级火山机构为裂隙中心式喷发,热液活动很弱。岩浆热液活动的程度是导致不同火山机构控制的火山岩建造金的背景值明显差异的根本原因。  相似文献

湖泊表层沉积物可溶性有机氮含量及分布特性   总被引:7,自引:1,他引:7  
选择鄱阳湖、洞庭湖等6个湖泊的15个表层沉积物样品,用1mol/L KCl溶液提取沉积物中的可溶性有机氮(SON),并研究了SON的含量、分布状况及特性.结果表明,所研究的沉积物SON含量变异较大,在17.18-292.31mg/kg之间波动,平均为134.45 mg/kg,占可溶性总氮(TSN)的51.86%,沉积物总氮的7.14%.污染程度重的沉积物中SON含量均较污染程度轻的高,且SON含量与TN、TSN含量呈正相关,即与沉积物氮污染程度呈正相关,分布状况则与湖泊污染程度、人类活动干扰强度等紧密相关,所研究表层湖泊沉积物巾游离氨基酸(FAA)含量处于4.69-42.04mg/kg间,平均为23.27mg/kg,占SON的18.80%,TN的1.24%,FAA与SON含量呈显著正相关,在沉积物中的平均含骨及在SON中的比例均较土壤中高,说明湖泊沉积物SON有较大的易分解组分,SON与沉积物可溶忭无机氮、有机质、CEC等显著相关,因此,SON是湖泊沉积物氮的重要组成部分,对湖泊富营养化具有重要的影响,特别是对污染严重的沉积物而言,更应重视其SON在湖泊氮循环及富营养化中的作用.  相似文献

Detritivorous fish generally refers to fish that primarily ingest unidentified organic detritus. We analyzed stomach contents in combination with stable isotopes to trace and compare the food sources of the large-scale mullet Liza macrolepis and other detritivorous fish species in subtropical mangrove creeks and a tropical lagoon in Taiwan. The volume of organic detritus always contributed >50% of the stomach content of L. macrolepis in the two habitats. However, consumed items were distinct between the two habitats and corresponded to the types in which they reside. The consumed items in the lagoon were more diverse than those observed in the mangroves. In the mangroves, the diet composition of L. macrolepis was primarily determined by season, not by body size. In the lagoon, there were no clear seasonal or size-dependent grouping patterns for the diet composition. There were significant seasonal and spatial variations in δ13C and δ15N values of potential food sources and L. macrolepis. However, neither δ13C nor δ15N values of L. macrolepis were correlated with fish body size. Joint analyses of stomach contents and stable isotopes indicated that benthic microalgae on sediments were the most important assimilated food in both seasons for the dominant detritivorous fish in the mangroves, whereas a greater reliance on microalgal and macroalgal periphyton on oyster-culture pens was observed in the lagoon. Mangrove and marsh plants and phytoplankton, which are mostly locally produced within each habitat, were of minor importance in the assimilated food.  相似文献

Gas hydrate is a recently-found new source of energy that mostly exists in marine sediments. In recent years, we have conducted gas hydrate exploration in the South China Sea. The Xisha trough, one of the promising target areas for gas hydrate, is located in the northern margin of the South China Sea, adjacent to several large oil and gas fields. The Xisha trough extends 420 km long with the water depth of 1 500 m in the west part and 3 400 m in the east part and deposits thick sediments with organic matter content of 0.41%–1.02%. Previous studies on topographical features, geological P-T conditions, structural geology, sedimentary geology and geophysical bottom simulating reflectors (BSR) in the Xisha trough suggest that this area is favorable for the formation and accumulation of gas hydrate. In this paper, we present geochemical analyses for the sediment and pore water from a piston core at Site XS-01 in the Xisha trough. Seven pore water samples were analyzed for their anion (Cl, SO4 2−, Br, I) contents, cation (Na, K, Ca, Mg) contents and trace element (Li, B, Sr, Ba, Rb, Mn) contents. Eight sediment samples were analyzed for stable carbon and oxygen isotopic compositions. A number of geochemical anomalies such as anions (e.g. Cl, SO4 2−), cations (e.g. Ca, Mg) and trace elements (e.g. Sr, Ba, B) were found in this study. For example, the concentrations of Cl and SO4 2− in pore water show a decreasing trend with depth. The estimated sulfate/methane interface (SMI) is only 18 m, which is quite similar to the SMI value of 23 m in the ODP164 Leg 997 at Blake Ridge. The Ca, Mg and Sr concentrations of pore water also decrease with depth, but concentrations of Ba, and Mg/Ca and Sr/Ca ratios increase with depth. These geochemical anomalies are quite similar to those found in gas hydrate locations in the world such as the Blake Ridge and may be related to the formation and dissociation of gas hydrates. The salt exclusion effect during the gas hydrate formation will cause an increase in major ion concentrations in the pore waters that diffused upward such as Cl. The anaerobic methane oxidation (AMO) may lead to the change of SO4 2− and other cations such as Ca, Mg, Sr and Ba in pore water. Low δ 13C value of authigenic carbonates is a good indicator for gas hydrate occurrence. However, the bulk sediment samples we analyzed all show normal δ 13C values similar to biogenic marine carbonates, and this may also suggest that no gas hydrate-related authigenic carbonates exist or their amount is so small that they are not detectable by using this bulk analytical method. In conclusion, we suggest that the Site XS-01 in the Xisha trough of the northern margin of the South China Sea is a potential target for further gas hydrate exploration.
