The spinel peridotite from the Anyemaqen suture contains ?5% residual clinopyroxene and is characterized by a high abundance of the magmaphile elements Fe, Al and Ti in the primary mineral phases. Our data demonstrate that this rock represents residual mantle material, which has been affected by less than 10% partial melting prior to its emplacement. Its textural features indicate that the rock has been plastically deformed in a non-coaxial regime under lithospheric physical conditions at a relatively cool thermal regime below solidus temperature. We suggest that the peridotites from the Anyemaqen suture represent mantle material, which was either emplaced during incipient rifting on the Palaeozoic passive margin of Asia, or uplifted at slow spreading ridge setting in Paleo-Tethyan Ocean. Despite its small area (5.6 km2), the Penguins Island brings magmatic information concerning mantle geochemical heterogeneities in southwestern Indian Ocean. The volcanism that built the island was firstly associated with marine deposits, and secondly with aerial, giving then abundant volcanic breccias and lava flows. The rocks are weakly differentiated and result of magmatic fractionation from picritic to tephritic types. KAr ages are near 1.1 Ma. The magmatic source may be related to a HIMU reservoir or to EMI ± EMII ones, depending on the geochemical evidences that are taken into account. However, comparisons with the Marion Island, on the same oceanic plateau and far to the west, as well as with Kerguelen Islands, far to the east, suggest a very heterogeneous mantle source. Eastern Hebei Province is one of the important gold mineralization areas in North China,and detailed investigations have been made in this area.Different mineralization models and different ore-formng surces have been proposed for the gold deposits in this area.As more detailed work was made and more information has been accumulated,it is necessary to make a new investigation on gold metallogenesis and its source.This paper presents the data about 13 gold deposits(occurrences.)It is concluded that the element gold came from the deep mantle.Different models of metallogenesis substantially describe such processes that ore-forming fluids were involved in metallogenesis in different favorable loci.Gold ore prospecting should be focused on fluid channel ways and favorable structures.  相似文献

Ecosystems lacking human induced energy input from outside are in danger to degrade if man requires any sustainable yield. The risk of failure strongly depends on the amount of exploitation. This is shown by a simple one dimensional analytical feed-back model. Natural fluctuations determine the degradation probability of productive ecosystems. The stability behaviour of the latter is demonstrated by an analytical model in the two dimensional phase space. Full quantitative evaluation of the risk needs simulation experiments. One is carried out in the thorn shrub savannah rangelands at a site in Namibia where a fully calibrated simulation model shows that the less a sustainable yield is required, the more the breakdown is delayed. In this case of highly fluctuating rainfall any sustainability sensu strictu does not exist. This revised version was published online in August 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

The main features of the heat wave that has affected western Europe during the summer 2003 are first recalled, with particular concern to analogies and differences with previous warm-summer episodes. The skills of the various operational and pre-operational seasonal forecasting models in use at that time are evaluated. None of them has been able to consistently forecast the heat wave three month in advance. The meteorological and climatic situation prevailing during spring 2003 is then analysed. A strong sea-surface-temperature (SST) anomaly is found to have developed over North Atlantic a few months before the heat wave. The particular mechanism at work to explain the occurrence of the heat wave is not a ‘simple downwind influence’ of the SST anomaly. It very likely involves complex ocean–atmosphere interaction phenomena of a kind that is not properly taken into account in today's seasonal forecasting models.
