The large-scale construction of railway tunnels in China is hindered by several challenges, including large depths, large tunnel cross-sections, and fragile geological conditions. In this paper, we explored a new physical and numerical simulation method that improves upon the currently used methods to investigate the deformation and failure modes of weak rocks surrounding a tunnel. We also compared the results from physical tests and numerical simulations with the field measurements to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed numerical simulation method. In the physical model test, an artificial speckle field was developed by staining quartz sand particles and mixing the particles with barite powder and petroleum jelly in preset proportions. The artificial speckle field was employed in the digital speckle correlation method (DSCM) to monitor the evolution of the strain field on the surface of the plain strain model for tunneling during loading. A secondary strain-softening constitutive model using the numerical modeling code FLAC3D was developed (degradation constitutive model) by considering the deformation modulus degradation in the numerical simulation. The failure mode of weak rocks surrounding a tunnel in the physical model test was examined using the developed degradation constitutive model. Both the physical and numerical results revealed that the least stable area was the shear wedge along the minimum principal stress, which was confirmed in the damage zone of the surrounding rocks. The results were consistent with previous research findings. The results of the DSCM in the physical model test indicated that the shear wedge in the middle part of the tunnel and the cracks around the arch of the tunnel were induced by shear strain, whereas the collapse of the arch was attributed to a combination of tensile strain and shear strain. A comparison of the physical and numerical simulation results demonstrated that the degradation constitutive model can be used to describe the extent and depth of the excavation damage zone of tunneling. A comparison of the displacements from the numerical simulation and field measurements indicated that the degradation model can be used to capture the displacement of weak rocks surrounding tunnels.  相似文献

应用作研究的提取弱短临前兆信息的方法及定量指标^[2],对1990年甘肃、青海、宁夏、陕西四省(区)部分专业台4种手段、31个台(项)的观测资料进行了处理。结果表明,在1990年共和7.0级地震和景泰6.2级地震前,约占总数65%的台项均出现了弱前兆异常。事实进一步证明,作提出的提取弱短临前兆信息的方法是有效和实用的。  相似文献

大地电磁测深是研究地壳和上地幔构造的一种重要的地球物理探测方法,当前国家正在实施深部探测专项SinoProbe等项目,故需要借助于长周期大地电磁测深仪器.我国没有自己生产的长周期大地电磁测深仪器,只能依靠从乌克兰进口的LEMI-417进行深部探测.在LEMI-417使用中,我们从该仪器提供的数据文件Final.asc中发现它的电场信号测量分辨率为0.01 mV/km,磁场信号测量分辨率为0.01 nT,相对较低,此外,该仪器在无GPS信号时会出现记录紊乱等现象,故需要设计适合课题组需要的长周期大地电磁测深仪器.由于大地电磁测深仪器需要采集的电场、磁场信号为微弱信号,容易淹没于噪声之中,故选用了低噪声、极小总谐波失真率的CS3301作为运算放大器.CS3301提供了4种可选择的信号输入模式和7种可选增益,经分析与测试,测量电场信号时,CS3301设置为输入模式1及×64增益,当极距100 M时,测量精度可达0.001 mV/km,高于LEMI-417的0.01 mV/km;测量磁场信号时,将反馈理论用于测量电路,CS3301设置为输入模式3及×64增益,只对信号的可变部分进行放大,精度可达0.006 nT,高于LEMI-417的0.01 nT.该系统在华南的9005、1005等多个测点以及东北的1600、5105等多个测点进行了测试,并与LEMI-417进行了对比试验,测量结果表明它们的时间序列曲线比较一致,数据处理后,在同一测点得到的大地电磁测深曲线也较一致,说明设计的仪器达到了预期目标.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the harmonic generation and energy dissipation as water waves propagating through coastal vegetation. Applying the homogenization theory, linear wave models have been developed for a heterogeneous coastal forest in previous works (e.g. [17], [10], [11]). In this study, the weakly nonlinear effects are investigated. The coastal forest is modeled by an array of rigid and vertically surface-piercing cylinders. Assuming monochromatic waves with weak nonlinearity incident upon the forest, higher harmonic waves are expected to be generated and radiated into open water. Using the multi-scale perturbation theory, micro-scale flows in the vicinity of cylinders and macro-scale wave dynamics are separated. Expressing the unknown variables (e.g. velocity, free surface elevation) as a superposition of different harmonic components, the governing equations for each mode are derived while different harmonics are interacting with each other because of nonlinearity in the cell problem. Different from the linear models, the leading-order cell problem for micro-scale flow motion, driven by the macro-scale pressure gradient, is now a nonlinear boundary-value-problem, while the wavelength-scale problem for wave dynamics remains linear. A modified pressure correction method is employed to solve the nonlinear cell problem. An iterative scheme is introduced to connect the micro-scale and macro-scale problems. To demonstrate the theoretical results, we consider incident waves scattered by a homogeneous forest belt in a constant shallow depth. Higher harmonic waves are generated within the cylinder array and radiated out to the open water region. The comparisons of numerical results obtained by linear and nonlinear models are presented and the behavior of different harmonic components is discussed. The effects of different physical parameters on wave solutions are discussed as well.  相似文献

We apply the inversion scheme of Zheng and Peník (2002) to the walkaway VSP data of Horne and Leaney (2000) collected in the Java Sea region. The goal is a local determination of parameters of the medium surrounding the borehole receiver array. The inversion scheme is based on linearized equations expressing qP-wave slowness and polarization vectors in terms of weak anisotropy (WA) parameters. It thus represents an alternative approach to Horne and Leaney (2000), who based their procedure on inversion of the Christoffel equation using a global optimization method. The presented inversion scheme is independent of structural complexities in the overburden and of the orientation of the borehole. The inverson formula is local, and has therefore potential to separate effects of anisotropy from effects of inhomogeneity. The data used are components of the slowness vector along the receiver array and polarization vectors. The inversion is performed without any assumptions concerning the remaining components of the slowness vector. The inversion is made (a) assuming arbitrary anisotropy, i.e., without any assumptions about symmetry of the medium, (b) assuming transverse isotropy with a vertical axis of symmetry and (c) assuming isotropy of the medium. Inverted are the raw data as well as data, in which weighting is used to reduce the effect of outliers. It is found that the WA parameters z, 15 and 35 are considerably more stable than the parameters x and x. The latter two parameters are also found to be strongly correlated. Weaker correlation is also found between the mentioned two parameters and z. The results of inversion show clearly that the studied medium is not isotropic. They also seem to indicate that the studied medium does not possess the VTI symmetry.  相似文献
