Seismic diagnosis of railway substructures by using secondary acoustic emission

One difficult task for the seismic diagnosis of existing structures is how to nondestructively evaluate the damage degree of invisible substructures, such as embedded foundations. To diagnose substructures efficiently, a method for nondestructive inspection is developed by applying acoustic emission (AE) technique. As a newly proposed method, characteristics of secondary AE induced by train operations were investigated, and experiments using model piles and in-situ AE monitoring of in-service railway bridges conducted under railroad traffic, from which it was demonstrated that the proposed method is practicable enough to detect invisible defects in structures. A new index, known as RTRI (ratio of Repeated Train load at the onset of AE activity to Relative maximum load for Inspection period) is proposed for structural damage qualification based on the results of in-situ AE monitoring.     

水压致裂地应力测试方法在云南大理-丽江铁路隧道工程中的应用

利用水压致裂地应力测试方法对实际工程区进行了地应力测量,确定了工程区隧道围岩现今的地壳应力状态,即原地应力的大小和方向.根据地应力分布特征,分析了隧道开挖过程中发生岩爆等地质灾害的可能性.地应力测量数据的分析结果可作为隧道衬砌的设计、断面的选择及轴线方位的确定的科学依据.     

2006年新疆地质矿产勘查进展及2007年工作要点

2006年是新疆地质矿产勘查“十一五”规划实施的第一年,地质勘查投入进一步加大,钠硝石找矿取得了重大突破,铁、铅锌、铜镍及煤的找矿也取得了重要进展,基础地质工作程度进一步提高,高新技术方法的应用得到加强,“环准噶尔”和“环塔里木”控制铜、铜镍、铅锌、铁等矿床重要成矿类型的规律逐渐显现.2007年将突出“环准噶尔”和“环塔里木”两个新领域的找矿工作,加快构建基础科研、高新技术应用研究、矿产勘查等相配套的科学的地质勘查体系.

Bifurcation and second‐order work in geomaterials

In this paper, the ability of a material rate‐independent system to evolve toward another mechanical state from an equilibrium configuration, with no change in the control parameters, is investigated. From a mechanical point of view, this means that the system can spontaneously develop kinetic energy with no external disturbance from an equilibrium state, which corresponds to a particular case of bifurcation. The existence of both conjugate incremental strain and stress such that the second‐order work vanishes is established as a necessary and sufficient condition for the appearance of this bifurcation phenomenon. It is proved that this fundamental result is independent of the constitutive relation of the rate‐independent material considered. Then the case of homogeneous loading paths is investigated, and, as an illustration, the subsequent results are applied to interpret the well‐known liquefaction observed under isochoric triaxial loading conditions with loose granular materials. 地理国情（市情）普查外业信息采集

地理国情监测不仅扩大了测绘行业的内涵,更重要的是,对我国总体布局和规划提供了可靠的依据。目前,在全国范围内逐步开展地理国情普查工作,我分院按照安排,以厦门市为试点,对其进行了外业的调查与核查工作。结合实地作业情况来看,可以在地理国情普查内容与指标基本不变的前提下,依据地域的不同增加分类或修改部分类别的内涵。为今后全面普查工作的顺利开展,对现有的作业方式和作业内容都应有一定的规范。
