Isotope data and trace elements concentrations are presented for volcanic and plutonic rocks from the Livingston, Greenwich, Robert, King George and Ardley islands (South Shetland arc, Antarctica). These islands were formed during subduction of the Phoenix Plate under the Antarctica Plate from Cretaceous to Tertiary. Isotopically (87Sr/86Sr)o ratios vary from 0.7033 to 0.7046 and (143Nd/144Nd)o ratios from 0.5127 to 0.5129. εNd values vary from +2.71 to +7.30 that indicate asthenospheric mantle source for the analysed samples. 208Pb/204Pb ratios vary from 38.12 to 38.70, 207Pb/204Pb ratios are between 15.49 and 15.68, and 206Pb/204Pb from 18.28 to 18.81. The South Shetland rocks are thought to be derived from a depleted MORB mantle source (DMM) modified by mixtures of two enriched mantle components such as slab-derived melts and/or fluids and small fractions of oceanic sediment (EM I and EM II). The isotopic compositions of the subduction component can be explained by mixing between at least 4 wt.% of sediment and 96 wt.% of melts and/or fluids derived from altered MORB.  相似文献

In order to provide mantle and crustal constraints during the evolution of the Colombian Andes, Sr and Nd isotopic studies were performed in xenoliths from the Mercaderes region, Northern Volcanic Zone, Colombia. Xenoliths are found in the Granatifera Tuff, a deposit of Cenozoic age, in which mantle- and crustal-derived xenoliths are present in bombs and fragments of andesites and lamprophyres compositions. Garnet-bearing xenoliths are the most abundant mantle-derived rocks, but websterites (garnet-free xenoliths) and spinel-bearing peridotites are also present in minor amounts. Amphibolites, pyroxenites, granulites, and gneisses represent the lower crustal xenolith assemblage. Isotopic signatures for the mantle xenoliths, together with field, petrographic, mineral, and whole-rock chemistry and pressure–temperature estimates, suggest three main sources for these mantle xenoliths: garnet-free websterite xenoliths derived from a source region with low P and T (16 kbar, 1065 °C) and MORB isotopic signature, 87Sr/86Sr ratio of 0.7030, and 143Nd/144Nd ratio of 0.5129. Garnet-bearing peridotite and websterite xenoliths derived from two different sources in the mantle: i) a source with intermediate P and T (29–35 kbar, 1250–1295 °C) conditions, similar to that of sub-oceanic geotherm, with an OIB isotopic signature (87Sr/86Sr ratio of 0.7043 and 143Nd/144Nd ratio of 0.5129); and ii) another source with P and T conditions similar to those of a sub-continental geotherm (>38 kbar, 1140–1175 °C) and OIB isotopic characteristics (87Sr/86Sr ratio=0.7041 and 143Nd/144Nd ratio=0.5135).  相似文献

Late Cenozoic intraplate basaltic rocks in northeastern China have been interpreted as being derived from a mantle source composed of DMM and EM1 components. To constrain the origin of the enriched mantle component, we have now determined the geochemical compositions of basaltic rocks from the active Baekdusan volcano on the border of China and North Korea. The samples show LREE-enriched patterns, with positive Eu and negative Ce anomalies. On a trace element distribution diagram, they show typical oceanic island basalt (OIB)-like LILE enrichments without significant Nb or Ta depletions. However, compared with OIB, they show enrichments in Ba, Rb, K, Pb, Sr, and P. The Nb/U ratios are generally within the range of OIB, but the Ce/Pb ratios are lower than those of OIB. Olivine phenocrysts are characterized by low Ca and high Ni contents. The radiogenic isotopic characteristics (87Sr/86Sr = 0.70449 to 0.70554; εNd = −2.0 to +1.8; εHf = −1.7 to +6.1; 206Pb/204Pb = 17.26 to 18.12) suggest derivation from an EM1-like source together with an Indian MORB-like depleted mantle. The Mg isotopic compositions (δ26Mg = −0.39 ± 0.17‰) are generally lower than the average upper mantle, indicating carbonates in the source. The 87Sr/86Sr ratios decrease with decreasing δ26Mg values whereas the 143Nd/144Nd and (Nb/La)N ratios increase. These observations suggest the mantle source of the Baekdusan basalts contained at least two components that resided in the mantle transition zone (MTZ): (1) recycled subducted ancient (∼2.2–1.6 Ga) terrigenous silicate sediments, possessing EM1-like Sr–Nd–Pb–Hf isotopic signatures and relatively high values of δ26Mg; and (2) carbonated eclogites with relatively MORB-like radiogenic isotopic compositions and low values of δ26Mg. These components might have acted as metasomatizing agents in refertilizing the asthenosphere, eventually influencing the composition of the MTZ-derived plume that produced the Baekdusan volcanism.  相似文献

~(40)Ar/~(39)Ar and zircon U-Pb geochronological and whole-rock geochemical analyses for the Laozanggou intermediate-acidic volcanic rocks from the western Qinling orogenic belt,Central China,constrain their petrogenesis and the nature of the Late Mesozoic lithospheric mantle.These volcanic rocks yield hornblende or whole-rock ~(40)Ar/~(39)Ar plateau ages of 128.3-129.7 Ma and zircon U-Pb age of131.3±1.3 Ma.They exhibit Si02 of 56.86-66.86 wt.%,K_2 O of 0.99-2.46 wt.% and MgO of 1.03-4.47 wt.%,with Mg# of 42-56.They are characterized by arc-like geochemical signatures with significant enrichment in LILE and LREE and depletion in HFSE.All the samples have enriched Sr-Nd isotopic compositions with initial ~(87)Sr/~(86)Sr ratios ranging from 0.7112 to 0.7149 and ε_(Nd)(t) values from 10.2 to 6.3.Such geochemical signatures suggest that these volcanic rocks were derived from enriched lithospherederived magma followed by the assimilation and fractional crystallization(AFC)process.The generation of the enriched lithospheric mantle is likely related to the modification of sediment-derived fluid in response to the Triassic subduction/collision event in Qinling orogenic belt.The early Cretaceous detachment of the lithospheric root provides a reasonable mechanism for understanding the petrogenesis of the Laozanggou volcanic sequence in the western Qinling orogenic belt.  相似文献

报道了大别山北缘中生代(早白垩世)不同成因系列火山-侵入岩的14个Rb-Sr,Sm-Nd同位素分析数据,其中正长岩类ISr值为0.70943-0.71014,εNd值为-14.7-15.8,亏损地幔两阶段模式年龄TDM为2.12-2.20Ga;高钾钙碱性系列岩石ISr值为0.70750-0.71054,εNd值为-17.2--19.1,TDM为2.32-2.48Ga,橄榄安粗岩系列岩石ISr值为0.70873-0.70912,εNd值为-20.7-21.7,TDM为2.60-2.68Ga。通过与基底变质岩Sm-Nd同位素组成对比,认为高钾钙碱性系列主要由类似于大别群的地壳岩石衍生而成,正长岩类是由大别群和少量较年轻地壳岩石(卢镇关群和佛子岭群?)衍生而成的,而橄榄安粗岩系列则来源于富集地幔并可能混入少量更古老的类似于泰山群的地壳组分。  相似文献

渣滓溪钨锑矿床位于湘西雪峰山弧形构造带的中段,是我国典型的脉状充填型锑矿床。本文对渣滓溪矿区不同产状产出的白钨矿进行了Sm-Nd和Sr同位素研究。研究表明,渣滓溪矿区白钨矿Sm/Nd变化范围相对较宽(0.36~0.63),143Nd/144Nd为0.51211~0.51288;在147Sm/144Nd-143Nd/144Nd图解中,该矿白钨矿样品没有明显的线性分布趋势,无法厘定出该矿的准确成矿时间。该矿白钨矿的Nd(t)明显可分为两组(-10.2~-14.7和-3.79~+0.01),其成矿流体中的Nd主要有两个来源,一部分可能来自晚元古代地层或下伏陆壳基底的碎屑岩,另一部分很可能与冷家溪群的基性、超基性岩有关。与Nd同位素不同,渣滓溪成矿流体中Sr同位素组成均一化程度较高,该矿白钨矿87Sr/86Sr为0.7304~0.7329;该矿这种明显富放射成因87Sr的成矿热液,排除了成矿流体来自海水和赋矿围岩作为唯一矿源层的可能性,下伏陆壳的结晶基底很可能是这种高放射成因Sr的提供者。沃溪和渣滓溪矿区白钨矿Sr-Nd同位素组成的对比研究表明,两矿区的成矿物质来源有所不同,前者应来自一种更古老、更成熟、更富放射成因Sr的下伏陆壳基底。  相似文献

The Loire River, with one of the largest watersheds in France, has been monitored just outside the city of Orleans since 1994. Physico-chemical parameters and major and trace elements were measured between 2-day and 1-week intervals according to the river flow. The sampling site represents 34% of the total Loire watershed with 76% silicate rocks and 24% carbonate rocks.

Elements are transported mainly in the dissolved phase with the ratio of total dissolved salts (TDS) to suspended matter (SM) ranging between 1.6 and 17.4. Chemical weathering of rocks and soils are thus the dominant mechanisms in the Loire waters composition. The highest TDS/SM ratios are due to dissolved anthropogenic inputs. The database shows no link between NO3 content and river flow. The Na+, K+, Mg2+, SO42−, and Cl concentrations are seen to decrease with increasing discharge, in agreement with a mixing process involving at least two components: the first component (during low flow) is concentrated and may be related with input from the groundwater and sewage station water, the second component (during high flow) is more dilute and is in agreement with bedrock weathering and rainwater inputs. A geochemical behaviour pattern is also observed for HCO3 and Ca2+ species, their concentrations increase with increasing discharge up to 300 m3/s, after which, they decrease with increasing discharge. The Sr isotopic composition of the dissolved load is controlled by at least five components — a series of natural components represented by (a) waters draining the silicate and carbonate bedrock, (b) groundwater, and (c) rainwaters, and two kinds of anthropogenic components.

The aim of this study is to describe the mixing model in order to estimate the contribution of each component. Finally, specific export rates in the upper Loire watershed were evaluated close to 12 t year−1 km−2 for the silicate rate and 47 t year−1 km−2 for the carbonate rate.  相似文献

辽西义县是辽宁省主要的萤石矿床产地,萤石产于中元古界长城系-蓟县系碳酸盐岩中.为了研究成矿物质来源及矿床成因,对该矿床进行了Sr同位素研究.萤石的Sr同位素N(87Sr)/N(86Sr)比值为0.708 476~0.708 533,该比值介于赋矿碳酸盐岩Sr同位素比值(0.708 926~0.722 043)和中侏罗统髫髻山组火山岩Sr同位素比值(0.707 584~0.710 382)之间,表明成矿物质主要来源于赋矿围岩和髫髻山组火山岩,结合Sr同位素图解认为其矿床类型属于热液充填交代型.  相似文献

研究目的】思茅盆地赋存有中国唯一的前第四纪固体钾盐矿床,该矿床的成因一直存在争议。客观地认识矿床成因、合理地构建矿床成因模式,不仅是钾盐矿床学研究中亟需解决的基础科学问题,而且关乎盆地内钾盐资源勘查方向的选择。【研究方法】本项研究以思茅盆地L-2井和MZK-3井的盐岩、盐岩上覆和下伏碎屑岩、盐岩中的碎屑岩为主要研究对象,重点分析其锶同位素地球化学特征。【研究结果】结果表明:(1)L-2井全岩样品87Sr/86Sr值为0.708220~0.727458,平均值为0.712776;盐岩水不溶物87Sr/86Sr值为0.711342~0.741999,平均值为0.716574;(2)MZK-3井盐岩上覆碎屑岩层87Sr/86Sr值为0.713318~0.723147,平均值为0.717255;盐岩下伏碎屑岩层87Sr/86Sr值为0.712470~0.738988,平均值为0.719307;(3)碎屑岩样品经过87Rb校正恢复至初始沉积状态的87Sr/86Sr值为0.710880~0.727678,平均值为0.712828;(4)盐岩样品87Sr/86Sr值全部明显小于大陆地表风化系统的平均值,有个别样品87Sr/86Sr值大于现代海水。【结论】基于思茅盆地基础地质和钾盐矿床地质已有的研究成果,结合盐岩和碎屑岩锶同位素地球化学特征,可以得出:思茅盆地含钾盐岩与碎屑岩处于不同的锶同位素平衡体系;含钾盐岩的物源主体为海水,成盐过程中陆源淡水的补给可使87Sr/86Sr值增大;碎屑岩沉积于陆相环境,在与固态盐岩或盐岩水溶液接触之前已处于早成岩阶段A亚期;钾盐的成矿模式为勐野井组沉积期深层源盐通过走滑拉分形成的断层迁移至地表,在由高处向汇水盆地迁移过程中捕获了处于早成岩阶段A亚期的碎屑颗粒,形成了现今的含泥砾盐岩;部分含泥砾盐岩在迁移进入汇水盆地之后,经历了溶解-重结晶的过程,形成了盆地内成分较纯的盐岩;后续沉积的碎屑颗粒形成了防止盐岩溶蚀破坏的保护层;新生代的喜山运动使早期形成的钾盐矿床发生调整改造。  相似文献

选择峨眉山玄武岩区2个出露最全的云南永胜大迪里剖面和宾川上仓剖面进行了Sr、Nd、Pb同位素地球化学研究.结果表明, 少数样品的Pb同位素与Hanan和Graham定义的C组分相似, 而大多数样品则不在C组分范围之内, 说明除地幔柱物质外, 有岩石圈物质的加入.在多元同位素图解上, 峨眉山玄武岩位于EMⅠ、EMⅡ和DMM三端元之间, 表明其源区可以由地幔柱、富集的岩石圈地幔和地壳不同程度的混合来解释.结合已有的微量元素资料分析, 其中的地壳组分主要为下地壳, 而早期玄武质岩浆在上升过程中由于通道不畅通, 有较多的上地壳组分的混染.岩石圈地幔的富集作用可能与地幔柱释放出的小体积富Na、P而贫K的流体交代作用有关.粗面岩的同位素组成和玄武岩接近, 说明粗面岩是玄武质岩浆分离结晶作用形成的.   相似文献
