Permian–Triassic fore-arc basin terranes are exposed in New Zealand, but their original positions and tectonic configurations along the eastern Gondwanan margin are not fully understood. To better constrain late Paleozoic and Mesozoic reconstructions, we investigated the provenance of Permian–Triassic marine sandstone units from the Dun Mountain-Maitai Terrane (Maitai Group) and the Kaka Point Structural Belt (Willsher Group). The recognition of abundant volcanic lithic fragments in the sandstone samples, combined with the pattern of detrital zircon ages (unimodal to bimodal 280–240 Ma age distribution), demonstrate that the upper Permian to Middle Triassic volcaniclastic successions were derived from a proximal arc source. The detrital zircon age spectra match magmatic pulses in the adjacent Tuhua Intrusives (Median Batholith), a conclusion similar to that recently proposed for the Brook Street Terrane (Grampian Formation) and Murihiku Terrane (Murihiku Supergroup). Trace-element data from the dated zircon grains provide further evidence for a Median Batholith source and cross-terrane provenance links. The data indicate that 275–230 Ma zircon grains from the Maitai Group, Willsher Group, and Murihiku Supergroup were derived from a common magmatic source, and that the late Permian Longwood Suite (261–252 Ma) in the Median Batholith was a source region for these terranes. Based on the cross-terrane provenance links, we suggest that the Brook Street and Murihiku terranes were deposited in the proximal part of a fore-arc basin, whereas the Dun Mountain-Maitai Terrane represents the distal part of the same basin. Sedimentation in the Maitai Group ceased during the Middle Triassic (∼238 Ma), likely in response to a period of orogenesis at 235–230 Ma (Gondwanide Orogeny) that is widely recognized throughout the southwest Pacific.  相似文献

摘要:胶东地体中麻粒岩相岩石主要分布于米山断裂以西,而榴辉岩等高压岩石组合主要分布于该断裂以东。通过对米山断裂以西的海阳所、葛家集两地基性麻粒岩岩石学、矿物学和岩石热力学研究后得出:海阳所麻粒岩主要经历了3期变质作用,其P T演化趋势为顺时针方向;葛家集麻粒岩主要经历了2期变质作用,早期为角闪麻粒岩相,晚期为角闪岩相的退变质作用,其P T演化趋势亦为顺时针方向。海阳所、葛家集麻粒岩均位于米山断裂带附近,二处麻粒岩形成时的温压及演化的差异说明,米山断裂是一构造混杂带,可能代表华北板块和扬子板块俯冲碰撞时的大致界线  相似文献

The spatial-temporal development of Cenozoic reactivation along Mesozoic suture zones in the Tibetan Plateau are first-order parameters needed for assessing models of plateau growth. The Ganzi-Litang suture, in the eastern Tibetan Plateau, developed in the Late Triassic because of subduction and closure along the eastern branch of the Paleo-Tethys Ocean. Near the city of Litang, the Ganzi-Litang suture is defined by a mélange sequence with fault-bound, synorogenic nonmarine strata along the western and eastern flanks, suggesting post-Triassic structural reactivation. We present detrital zircon U–Pb geochronology and field data to determine the timing and style of reactivation along the Ganzi-Litang suture, as well as sedimentary provenance of nonmarine strata.A reverse fault placing mélange rock on top of nonmarine strata along the eastern flank of the Ganzi-Litang suture indicates a contractional deformational regime during reactivation. Conglomerate clast counts indicate a local sediment source of recycled Ganzi-Litang suture and Yidun terrane rock. Detrital zircons indicate a localized provenance consisting of recycled material from Triassic Yidun Arc plutons and Triassic Yidun Group turbidite rock. A weighted mean average of Cenozoic zircon grains (n ​= ​10) establishes a maximum depositional age of 41.5 ​± ​1.2 ​Ma for nonmarine strata in the Ganzi-Litang suture. We interpret the maximum depositional age of the nonmarine strata to represent the upper-limit for structural reactivation along the Ganzi-Litang suture while undeformed Neogene strata in the suture zone represent the lower-limit; thereby bracketing structural reactivation from ca. 42–25 ​Ma. Our results provide enhanced spatial-temporal resolution for Cenozoic deformation in the eastern Tibetan Plateau.  相似文献

完达山地区位于中国东北部陆缘,区内已发现多个金、金铜矿床(点),集中形成于早白垩世。为确定区内早白垩世金铜成矿作用的类型、时代、构造背景及物质源区,选取258高地、358高地和跃进山等代表性矿床,在矿床学研究基础上,开展了主要成矿岩体的地质特征、地球化学特征和同位素年代学研究。结果表明,完达山地区发育矽卡岩型铜金矿(跃进山)、斑岩型铜矿(跃进山花岗斑岩体)、浅成低温热液型金矿(258高地)和中温热液脉型金矿(358高地)等四种类型金铜矿床;258高地闪长玢岩、358高地闪长玢岩和跃进山花岗斑岩的锆石U-Pb年龄分别为1107±10Ma、1084±09 Ma和1019±11Ma;258高地闪长玢岩与358高地闪长玢岩锆石ε_(Hf)(t)值(分别为+04~+103和+22~+71)、Hf二阶模式年龄(分别为051~115Ga和072~102Ga)及岩石地球化学特征显示其属于埃达克(质)岩石,形成于洋壳俯冲的构造背景;跃进山矿床花岗斑岩的锆石ε_(Hf)(t)介于22~683,二阶段模式年龄t_(DM2)介于725~1021Ma,具有典型Ⅰ型花岗岩地球化学特征,形成于古太平洋俯冲的构造背景下;岩石Sr-Nd-Pb同位素组成表明,随258高地闪长玢岩、358高地闪长玢岩和跃进山花岗斑岩的年龄变新,岩浆源区可能具有幔源向壳源过渡的趋势。结合区域构造背景演化认为,完达山地区早白垩世金铜成矿作用与古太平洋板块俯冲作用的演化过程具有明显的耦合关系。  相似文献

祁雨沟金矿位于华北克拉通南缘的熊耳地体,是典型的爆破角砾岩型金矿。本文全面总结并深入分析了祁雨沟金矿的同位素地球化学研究资料,以氢-氧-碳同位素体系确定成矿流体由岩浆热液向大气降水热液演化,以碳-硫-铅同位素体系厘定成矿物质主要来自岩浆流体系统,以铅、碳同位素确定熊耳地体南侧的中-新元古代地层是不可缺少的成岩成矿物质来源之一。因此认为:在中生代华北与扬子板块碰撞造山过程中,熊耳地体南侧的陆壳板片沿马超营断裂俯冲到熊耳地体之下,通过变质脱水-熔融作用派生了祁雨沟岩浆-流体成矿系统,其成因可由碰撞造山成岩成矿与流体作用模式(即CMF模式)解释。  相似文献

四川丹巴地区是中国最重要的白云母产地之一,所产白云母以质量好、晶体大而闻名于世,是40Ar-39Ar测年的理想对象。文章通过野外调查和同位素年代学研究,获得该区二道桥和李家工地伟晶岩脉内白云母的40Ar-39Ar法坪年龄,分别为(125.01±0.58)Ma和(114.68±0.32)Ma,属燕山中晚期产物。丹巴伟晶岩脉的形成与区域地壳活动构成构造→岩浆→变质→伟晶岩脉的旋回,形成于喜马拉雅运动开始之前。因此,丹巴白云母矿化伟晶岩脉是地壳活动相对宁静期的产物,与世界上一些重要伟晶岩型矿床的成矿规律一致。  相似文献

The Higo metamorphic terrane situated in west-central Kyushu island, southwest Japan, is composed of greenschist- to granulite-facies metamorphic rocks. The southern part of the metamorphic terrane consists mainly of garnet–biotite gneiss and garnet–cordierite–biotite gneiss, and orthopyroxene or cordierite-bearing S-type tonalite with subordinate amounts of hornblende gabbro. Rb–Sr, Sm–Nd and K–Ar isotopic ages for these rocks have been determined here. The garnet–biotite gneiss gives an Sm–Nd age of 227.1 ± 4.9 Ma and a Rb–Sr age of 101.0 ± 1.0 Ma. The hornblende gabbro has an Sm–Nd age of 257.9 ± 2.5 Ma and a K–Ar age of 103.4 ± 1.1 Ma. These age differences of the same samples are due to the difference in the closure temperature for each system and minerals. The garnet-cordierite–biotite gneiss contains coarse-grained garnet with a zonal structure conspicuously distinguished in color difference (core: dark red; rim: pink). Sm–Nd internal isochrons of the garnet core and the rim give ages of 278.8 ± 4.9 Ma (initial 143Nd/144Nd ratio = 0.512311 ± 0.000005) and 226.1 ± 28.4 Ma (0.512277 ± 0.000038), respectively. These ages are close to formation of the garnet core and the rim. It has been previously suggested that the Higo metamorphic terrane belongs to the Ryoke metamorphic belt. But Sr and Nd isotopic features of the rocks from the former are different from those of the Ryoke metamorphic rocks, and are similar to those of the granulite xenoliths contained in the Ryoke younger granite.  相似文献

New data on biostratigraphy, sedimentology and tectonics of the Russian Far Eastern region (Lower Amurian terrane) are presented. This study shows that sedimentary sequence of the terrane consists of interbedded Radiolaria-bearing siliceous and volcaniclastic sediments spanning an interval of over 90 million years. It is shown that accumulation of radiolarian deposits on an oceanic plate was associated with alkaline (intraplate) volcanism in the Jurassic, while the plate was drifting, and with some arc volcanism during the Early Cretaceous. The younger siliceous rocks contain volcaniclastic material and indicate that the studied sequence approached the trench in the Early Cretaceous (Hauterivian-Barremian) and became accreted in the late Albian–early Cenomanian. We describe and illustrate radiolarian species extracted from 21 samples. A taxonomic list of 194 taxa and nine plates of Jurassic–Early Cretaceous Radiolaria are presented.  相似文献
