We developed an automatic seismic wave and phase detection software based on PhaseNet, an efficient and highly generalized deep learning neural network for P- and S-wave phase picking. The software organically combines multiple modules including application terminal interface, docker container, data visualization, SSH protocol data transmission and other auxiliary modules. Characterized by a series of technologically powerful functions, the software is highly convenient for all users. To obtain the P- and S-wave picks, one only needs to prepare three-component seismic data as input and customize some parameters in the interface. In particular, the software can automatically identify complex waveforms (i.e. continuous or truncated waves) and support multiple types of input data such as SAC, MSEED, NumPy array, etc. A test on the dataset of the Wenchuan aftershocks shows the generalization ability and detection accuracy of the software. The software is expected to increase the efficiency and subjectivity in the manual processing of large amounts of seismic data, thereby providing convenience to regional network monitoring staffs and researchers in the study of Earth's interior. 相似文献

We carry out a sequence of numerical tests to understand conditions under which rapid changes in crustal thickness can be
reliably imaged by teleseismic body waves. Using the finite-difference method over a 2-D grid, we compute synthetic seismograms
resulting from a planar P-wavefield incident below the grid. We then image the Moho using a migration scheme based on the Gaussian beam representation
of the wavefield. The use of Gaussian beams for the downward propagation of the wavefield is particularly advantageous in
certain geologically critical cases such as overthrusting of continental lithosphere, resulting in the juxtaposition of high-velocity
mantle material over crustal rocks. In contrast to ray-based methods, Gaussian beam migration requires no special treatment
to handle such heterogeneities. Our results suggest that with adequate station spacing and signal-to-noise ratios, offsets
of the Moho, on the order of 10 km in height, can be reliably imaged beneath thickened crust at depths of about 50 km. Furthermore,
even sharp corners and edges are faithfully imaged when precise values of seismic wave speeds are available. Our tests also
demonstrate that flexibility in choices of different types of seismic phases is important, because any single phase has trade-offs
in issues such as spatial resolution, array aperture, and amplitude of signals. 相似文献

This paper investigates the non-linear seismic behavior of structures such as slender unreinforced masonry shear walls or
precast post-tensioned reinforced concrete elements, which have little hysteretic energy dissipation capacity. Even if this
type of seismic response may be associated with significant deformation capacity, it is usually not considered as an efficient
mechanism to withstand strong earthquakes. The objective of the investigations is to propose values of strength reduction
factors for seismic analysis of such structures. The first part of the study is focused on non-linear single-degree-of-freedom
(SDOF) systems. A parametric study is performed by computing the displacement ductility demand of non-linear SDOF systems
for a set of 164 recorded ground motions selected from the European Strong Motion Database. The parameters investigated are
the natural frequency, the strength reduction factor, the post-yield stiffness ratio, the hysteretic energy dissipation capacity
and the hysteretic behavior model (four different hysteretic models: bilinear self-centring, with limited or without energy
dissipation capacity, modified Takeda and Elastoplastic). Results confirm that the natural frequency has little influence
on the displacement ductility demand if it is below a frequency limit and vice versa. The frequency limit is found to be around
2 Hz for all hysteretic models. Moreover, they show that the other parameters, especially the hysteretic behavior model, have
little influence on the displacement ductility demand. New relationships between the displacement ductility demand and the
strength reduction factor for structures having little hysteretic energy dissipation capacity are proposed. These relationships
are an improvement of the equal displacement rule for the considered hysteretic models. In the second part of the investigation,
the parametric study is extended to multi-degree-of-freedom (MDOF) systems. The investigation shows that the results obtained
for SDOF systems are also valid for MDOF systems. However, the SDOF system overestimates the displacement ductility demand
in comparison to the corresponding MDOF system by approximately 15%. 相似文献
