Field relationships and LA-ICP-MS U–Pb geochronology from the Yundurbungu Hills (Aileron Province, central Australia) reveal a record of 1808–1770 Ma bimodal magmatism, sedimentation, high-temperature deformation and metamorphism. Specifically, the data presented here provide the first unequivocal evidence for ca 1774 Ma high-temperature deformation and metamorphism during the 1790–1770 Ma Yambah Event in the southern part of the North Australian Craton. Granitic lithologies were synkinematically emplaced between 1808 and 1770 Ma, with early phases recording D1 deformation and the youngest phase postdating D1 deformation. The protolith to a D1 deformed metasedimentary unit was deposited between 1792 and 1774 Ma, followed by the intrusion and deformation of a composite mafic–felsic magmatic association at ca 1774 Ma. An S1 migmatitic fabric in the composite mafic–felsic gneiss is truncated by the youngest (ca 1770 Ma) phase of granitic magmatism, constraining the timing of S1 deformation. A second period of sedimentation appears to post-date D1 deformation, with deposition occurring sometime after ca 1774 Ma. Subsequent overprinting during the 1590–1550 Ma Chewings Event is recorded by the growth of metamorphic monazite and zircon. This event deformed the ca 1774 Ma S1 gneissic fabric, producing a composite S1/S2 gneissic fabric in early metasedimentary and magmatic lithologies and a simple S2-only fabric in lithologies that were intruded or deposited after ca 1774 Ma. Consistent with previous work, we suggest that localised high-temperature deformation and bimodal magmatism at ca 1774 Ma in the Yundurbungu Hills is consistent with a back-arc setting linked to prolonged north-directed subduction.  相似文献

We investigate the structural style and evolution of a salt-influenced, extensional fault array in the Egersund Basin (Norwegian North Sea) through analysis of 3D reflection seismic and well data. Analysis of fault geometry/morphology, throw distribution and syn-kinematic strata reveal an intricate but systematic style of displacement and growth, suggesting an evolution of (1) initial syn-sedimentary fault growth contemporaneous with salt mobilization initiated during the Late Triassic, (2) cessation of fault activity and burial of the stagnant fault tips, and (3) subsequent nucleation of new faults in the cover above contemporaneous salt re-mobilization initiated during the Late Cretaceous, with downward propagation and linkage with faults. Stage 3 was apparently largely controlled by salt mobilization in response to basin inversion, as reactivated faults are located where the underlying salt is thick, while the non-reactivated faults are found where salt is depleted. Based on the 3D-throw analyses, we conclude that a combination of basement faulting and salt (re-) mobilization is the driving mechanisms behind fault activation and reactivation. Even though the sub- and supra-salt faults are mainly geometrically decoupled through the salt, a kinematic coupling must have existed as sub-salt faults still affected nucleation and localization of the cover faults.  相似文献

对大兴安岭中部五岔沟镇蛤蟆沟林场花岗岩体研究结果表明,蛤蟆沟林场花岗岩体主要岩性组合为碱长花岗岩、黑云母正长花岗岩、黑云母二长花岗岩和花岗斑岩,其LA-ICP-MS锆石U-Pb测年结果为136.97±0.99Ma、135.85±0.78Ma、126.04±0.48Ma和135.87±0.49Ma,表明其形成时代为早白垩世。岩石主量元素具有富硅、富钾的特征,A/CNK值介于0.997~1.05之间,稀土元素相对富集轻稀土元素、亏损重稀土元素,并具有较为明显的Eu负异常,微量元素相对富集大离子亲石元素和高场强元素,贫Ba、Sr、Ti、P,这些特征表明蛤蟆沟林场花岗岩为铝质A型花岗岩,是中下地壳岩石部分熔融的产物,形成于大陆裂谷或板内构造环境(A1型花岗岩),代表了伸展的大地构造背景,可能是受到古太平洋俯冲和蒙古鄂霍次克洋闭合的双重影响。  相似文献

兴胜岩金矿处于大兴安岭中段东西向金银钼成矿带上,位于火山盆地边缘隆起带,火山期后热液活动强烈,构造都很发育,控制着矿(化)体的分布。火山期后次火山岩、花岗斑岩、似斑状花岗闪长岩和闪长岩等岩浆热液活动是重要的成矿热源,成矿与近东西向次级构造有关,矿体产于蚀变破碎带石英脉及蚀变角砾岩中。通过对金矿床地质特征及矿床成因分析,认为构造、岩浆活动在成矿过程中起着重要作用,对大兴安岭中段东坡找矿起到指导作用,明确了本区找矿方向。  相似文献

Volcanoes were created, grew, uplifted, became dormant or extinct, and were accreted as part of continents during continuous arc–continent collision. Volcanic rocks in Eastern Taiwan’s Coastal Range (CR) are part of the northern Luzon Arc, an oceanic island arc produced by the subduction of the South China Sea Plate beneath the Philippine Sea Plate. Igneous rocks are characterized by intrusive bodies, lava and pyroclastic flows, and volcaniclastic rocks with minor tephra deposits. Based on volcanic facies associations, Sr–Nd isotopic geochemistry, and the geography of the region, four volcanoes were identified in the CR: Yuemei, Chimei, Chengkuangao, and Tuluanshan. Near-vent facies associations show different degrees of erosion in the volcanic edifices for Chimei, Chengkuangao, and Tuluanshan. Yuemei lacks near-vent rocks, implying that Yuemei’s main volcanic body may have been subducted at the Ryukyu Trench with the northward motion of the Philippine Sea Plate. These data suggest a hypothesis for the evolution of volcanism and geomorphology during arc growth and ensuing arc–continent collision in the northern Luzon Arc, which suggests that these volcanoes were formed from the seafloor, emerging as islands during arc volcanism. They then became dormant or extinct during collision, and finally, were uplifted and accreted by additional collision. The oldest volcano, Yuemei, may have already been subducted into the Ryukyu Trench.  相似文献

The late Mesozoic Great Xing’an Range Large Igneous Province (XRLIP), with an area of >3 × 105 km2, is a prominent, enigmatic feature in eastern central Asia. The province is characterized by extensive within-plate magmatism, including a >4 km-thick sequence of volcanic rocks and voluminous plutons emplaced during an interval of ~40 million years from Late Jurassic through Early Cretaceous times (~150–110 Ma). The igneous activities are characterized by widespread adakitic rocks, alkalic basalts, and A-type granitoids with largely intraplate geochemical signatures, emplaced in a normal continental crustal setting. A Mongol–Okhotsk ridge subduction model is proposed for petrogenesis of the igneous rocks. Partial melting of young, hot, subducting oceanic slabs close to the ridge formed the adakitic rocks. A slab window that opened during ridge subduction triggered alkalic basaltic to A-type granitic and minor calc-alkaline magmas, as well as large-scale, metallogenic mineralization and subsequent basin formation.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The Tayuan plutons located at the boundary of the Erguna and Xing’an blocks expose a coexisting mafic–felsic association that is made of monzogranite and gabbro-monzodiorite as well as subordinate quartz monzonite. LA–ICP–MS U–Pb zircon dating revealed a synchronous emplacement of the monzogranite (314–317 Ma), gabbro (308–315 Ma), and quartz monzonite (310 ± 3 Ma). The majority of these intrusions are characterized by an enrichment in light rare earth elements relative to heavy rare earth elements and a depletion of high strength field elements (e.g. Nb, Ta, Ti). Zircons from the gabbro and monzogranite have εHf(t) values of 1.1–9.6 and ?3.0–3.3, respectively. Geochemical data show that the gabbro-monzodiorite may have been generated by the melting of a fluid-metasomatized lithospheric mantle, while the monzogranite may have been formed by a partial melting of the Mesoproterozoic crust. The quartz monzonite has similar whole-rock geochemical and Hf isotopic compositions to those of the gabbros and could have been produced from the same mantle source as that from which the gabbros were extracted. The Tayuan plutonic rocks have high contents of K2O and total alkalis and show a northwestward polarity like that of the continental margin plutonic rocks along the Hegenshan–Heihe suture zone. Combined with data from published studies, our data indicate that the Tayuan intrusive rocks were generated by the northwestward subduction of the Hegenshan–Heihe Oceanic plate.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The northern Lesser Xing’an Range in NE China hosts many gold deposits. However, genesis and tectonic background for the mineralization remain unclear. The newly discovered Yongxin gold deposit in this region provides a good example for understanding the related issues. Two economic orebodies have been recognized at Yongxin and they are mainly hosted in the hydrothermal breccias. Zircon U–Pb ages of granite porphyry and diorite porphyry are 119.3 ± 0.7 Ma and 119.9 ± 0.6 Ma, respectively. These data provide constraints to the upper limit of ore-forming age. The δ34S values of pyrite from orebodies range from 2.3‰ to 5.1‰. The 206Pb/204Pb, 207Pb/204Pb and 208Pb/204Pb ratios of the pyrite are of 18.126–18.255, 15.492–15.537 and 37.880–38.019, respectively. The δ18OH2O and δD values of ore-forming fluids range from ?12.5‰ to 1.8‰ and from ?124.8‰ to ?102.1‰, respectively. The REE compositions of gold-bearing pyrite are similar to those of the volcanic rocks of the Longjiang formation, diorite porphyry and granite porphyry. The combined geological, geochronological and geochemical characteristics of the Yongxin gold deposit indicate that the ore-forming materials were likely sourced from the volcanic rocks of the Longjiang formation, diorite porphyry and granite porphyry, whereas the ore-forming fluids are dominated by meteoric water. The Yongxin gold deposit could be a product of the Early Cretaceous large-scale gold mineralization in northeast China which occurred in an extensional tectonic setting and were related to the rollback of the subducted Paleo-Pacific Oceanic Plate beneath the continental margin of northeast China.  相似文献

小兴安岭-张广才岭是国内重要的钼成矿带之一,但有关该区的钼矿床尚缺乏系统的地质地球化学及其成矿地球动力学的研究资料。本文选取了霍吉河、鹿鸣及翠岭钼矿床开展相关研究,结果表明:含矿岩体及围岩为偏铝质-过铝质,属高钾钙碱性系列;富集大离子亲石元素(LILE)、亏损高场强元素(HFSE),具有与俯冲带岩浆岩地球化学相似的特征。锆石LA-ICPMSU-Pb定年显示,与霍吉河钼矿床成矿有关的黑云母二长花岗岩形成于早侏罗世(186±1.7Ma),与鹿鸣钼矿床成矿有关的二长花岗岩形成于中侏罗世(176±2.2Ma);与翠岭钼矿床有关的黑云角闪石英二长岩形成于早侏罗世(178±0.7Ma)。因此,小兴安岭-张广才岭成矿带斑岩型钼矿的成矿时代为燕山早期。综合研究认为小兴安岭-张广才岭成矿带斑岩型钼矿床的形成可能与侏罗纪太平洋板块的俯冲和佳木斯与松嫩地块的拼合有着密切的关系。  相似文献
