Reconstructing late Palaeozoic metamorphism of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB) can provide a better understanding of how the CAOB formed. The petrology of sillimanite-bearing metapelitic schists from high-grade portions of the Permian Chinese Altai metamorphic belt (andalusite-type) reflects the effects of poorly understood high-T, low-P metamorphism. Phase equilibria modelling in the Na2O–CaO–K2O–FeO–MgO–Al2O3–SiO2–TiO2–O (NCKFMASHTO) system restricts P–T conditions of the sillimanite schists to approximately 635–670°C at approximately 5.8–6.8 kbar. SHRIMP U–Pb analyses of zircon from the rocks yield a concordant age of 299.2 ± 3.4 Ma. Combined with the slightly younger (292.8 ± 2.3 Ma) areally restricted pelitic granulite with peak P?T conditions of approximately 780–800°C at approximately 5–6 kbar and high-T granulite with P?T conditions of approximately 860°C at approximately 6 kbar, these metamorphic rocks reflect prograde heating at relatively low pressure in early Permian time. Together with contemporary and widespread magmatic activities, they are best explained in the context of a post-orogenic extensional environment related to a mantle plume. 相似文献

通过1:5万夏茂幅区调,在政和一大埔断裂带以西,南平-宁化构造带中段,首次发现一套中无古代变质基性火山岩组合,即盖竹洋绿片岩。通过对这套绿片岩组合地质特征,岩石化学和地球化学,同位素地质学特征等多方面与闽东地区中元古代绿片岩组合的对比和探讨,发现二者特征基本一致,据原岩建筑等推论,这套绿片岩组合是在中元古代地壳拉张减薄的环境下,幔源物质沿南平-宁化构造带的海底裂隙侵位喷发,同时接受间断性海相钙硅质,砂泥质沉积而形成的。 相似文献

The Dalradian succession of central Donegal represents a tectono-stratigraphic sequence everywhere separated into two distinct successions by the Central Donegal Slide. Each stratigraphic package consistently youngs away from this major D1 structure which originated during lower greenschist facies metamorphism and corresponds with the development of locally preserved penetrative S1 fabrics. The tectonic slide and associated reversal in the direction of structural facing are commonly marked by mylonites and tectonic schists, which have been subsequently folded and reactivated by kilometric-scale sheath folds and the Ballybofey Nappe. Structural correlations with northwest Donegal suggest that the Central Donegal Slide relates to the Knockateen Slide, and represents an early thrust with top to the northwest sense of shear. The Central Donegal Slide cuts up-section through the Middle Dalradian sub-basin centred on southern Donegal, emplacing younger, anoxic basinal sediments and turbidites over an older, inverted, shelf succession. The location of the Central Donegal Slide adjacent to the margin of this sub-basin suggests that the siting and form of ductile thrusts may be strongly influenced by the geometry of the pre-existing sedimentary basin. 相似文献

以往研究认为华北克拉通中北部古元古代泥质麻粒岩主体属于一套中-低压高温麻粒岩。最近我们在大同-怀安地区发现该区泥质麻粒岩早期经历了高压-高温麻粒岩相变质作用,与伴生的石榴基性麻粒岩具有一致的变质条件,但由于后期中-低压高温(超高温)变质条件的叠加,早期高压矿物组合被强烈改造。本文以大同-怀安地区的高压-高温泥质麻粒岩为例,对其进行详细的矿物学特征和变质作用剖析。根据岩相学,如石榴石包裹体、矿物反应结构和矿物化学特征,将研究区泥质麻粒岩划分为四个变质阶段:进变质阶段(M_1)、压力峰期阶段(M_2)、温度峰期阶段(M_3)和冷却阶段(M_4)。M_1主要以石榴石核部包裹体为特征,含大量石英,少量黑云母、金红石和白云母等;M_2以幔部包裹体为特征,包裹体含量少,有石英、蓝晶石、钾长石、金红石、黑云母和锌尖晶石等,有时可见多硅白云母;M_3以基质矿物或石榴石边部包裹体为特征,如石榴石、夕线石、钾长石、石英和钛铁矿等,有或无锌尖晶石、金红石、黑云母等;M_4以石榴石边部的分解反应结构为特征,伴随熔体的结晶。综合矿物温压计、金红石Zr温度计和视剖面图方法获得进变质晚期阶段的条件为~10kbar/661~779℃,压力峰期变质条件为10~15kbar/810~860℃,温度峰期条件为6~10.5kbar/850~925℃,冷却阶段变质条件约为5~8kbar/645~761℃。同时,本文亦根据视剖面图方法模拟并解释了泥质麻粒岩(样品13GS47)中不同变质阶段的反应结构和变质反应,并对其中的石榴石成分环带进行了正演模拟。研究区与泥质麻粒岩伴生的其它岩石在不同程度上均记录了降压和降温的反应结构。最近研究证实部分石榴基性麻粒岩记录了进变质阶段,支持研究区的泥质麻粒岩和石榴基性麻粒岩可能经历了一致的变质历史,它们有可能是在压力峰期变质阶段(ca.1.97~1.90Ga)之前通过造山作用进入下地壳叠置在一起,并非在晚期(ca.1.85~1.80Ga)叠置在一起。 相似文献

嫩江—黑河构造带地处松嫩地块与兴安地块的结合部位,一直以来是业内学者关注的焦点。在构造带内内蒙古莫力达瓦旗哈达阳一带野外实地调研过程中,发现一套变质变形程度与周围地质体差异很大的地层。岩石组合为绿泥石白云母构造片岩、二云母微晶片岩、黝帘白云糜棱片岩等。采用LA-ICP-MS技术获得的绿泥石白云母构造片岩中锆石U-Pb年龄为413.9Ma±2.7Ma。通过分析区域地质演化历史及不同时代地质体特征,认为沿红山梁—哈达阳—依克特一带存在一条构造混杂堆积岩带,这套强变形岩石应为构造混杂岩带的一部分,其原岩形成时代为早泥盆世,后期构造定位应与嫩江—黑河构造带最后于早石炭世末拼合作用有关。 相似文献

青藏高原南部冈底斯岩浆弧东段出露的中-高级变质岩代表岩浆弧的中-下地壳,是研究岩浆弧深部组成与形成演化的理想载体。本文对冈底斯弧东段布久地区的变泥质岩,即石榴石夕线石云母片岩进行了岩石学、相平衡模拟和地质年代学研究。岩石学和相平衡模拟表明,片岩由黑云母、白云母、石榴石、夕线石、斜长石、石英及少量的钛铁矿、金红石组成,含或不含蓝晶石,经历了早期的低压麻粒岩相变质与部分熔融,变质温压条件为~7kbar和~770℃,中期的高压麻粒岩相变质与深熔作用,变质温压条件为~10. 5kbar和~775℃,以及晚期的角闪岩相退变质与熔体结晶作用,退变质温压条件为~7. 5kbar和~705℃,具有逆时针型的变质作用P-T-t轨迹。本文和现有年代学研究表明,片岩的早期的低压麻粒岩相变质与部分熔融发生在~70Ma,后续高压麻粒岩相变质与深熔发生在50~45Ma,晚期角闪岩相退变质与熔体结晶开始于45Ma,持续到25Ma。大体积幔源岩浆底侵导致的地壳加热与加厚,以及大陆碰撞导致的地壳缩短与加厚是冈底斯弧表壳岩在晚中生代至早新生代被埋藏到下地壳,经历长期持续高温、高压变质与部分熔融的构造机制,而加厚岩石圈地幔在渐新世的拆沉导致了岩浆弧加厚下地壳的折返。 相似文献

The banded iron-formation in the southeastern Bababudan Hills display a macroscopic synformal bend gently plunging towards
WNW. The bedding planes in smaller individual sectors show a cylindrical or conical pattern of folding. The dominant set of
minor folds has WNW-ESE trending axial planes and the axes plunge towards WNW at gentle to moderate angles, though there is
considerable variation in orientation of both axes and axial planes. A later set of sporadically observed folds has N-S trending
axial planes. The macroscopic synformal bend within the study area forms the southeastern corner of a horseshoe shaped regional
synformal fold closure which encompasses the entire Bababudan range.
The minor folds are buckle folds modified to a varying extent by flattening. In some examples the quartzose layers appear
to be more competent than the ferruginous layers; in others the reverse is true. The folds are frequently noncylindrical and
the axes show curvature with branching and en echelon patterns. Such patterns are interpreted to be the result of complex
linking of progressively growing folds whose initiation is controlled by the presence of original perturbations in the layers.
Domes and basins have at places developed as a result of shortening along two perpendicular directions in a constrictional
type of strain. Development of folds at different stages of progressive deformation has given rise to nonparallelism of fold
axes and axial planes. The axes and axial planes of smaller folds developed on the limbs of a larger fold are often oriented
oblique to those of the latter. Progressive deformation has caused rotation and bending of axial planes of earlier formed
folds by those developed at later stages of the same deformational episode. Coaxial recumbent to nearly reclined fold locally
encountered on the N-S limb of the macroscopic fold may belong to an earlier episode of deformation or to the early stage
of the main deformation episode.
The E-W to ESE-WNW strike of axial plane of the regional fold system in the Bababudan belt contrasts with the N-S to NNW-SSE
strike of axial planes of the main fold system in the Chitradurga and other schist belts of Karnataka. 相似文献
