在巴楚地区露头高频层序研究及塔中地区钻测井三级层序划分的基础上,对塔里木盆地塔中地区塔中162井和塔中43井下奥陶统鹰山组层序OSQ2的自然伽马能谱测井ln(Th/K)曲线进行了滤波处理、快速傅里叶变换处理、小波时频分析以及调谐处理,识别出具有米兰科维奇旋回特征的高频旋回。结果表明:斜度(黄赤交角)旋回最为明显,周期为37.0 ka,是以向上变浅为主的六级米级旋回的主要控制因素,其主旋回平均厚度在台地边缘相带的塔中162井及塔中43井中分别为4.55 m及3.97 m,在巴楚地区半局限-开阔台地相带中为2~4 m;95 ka的短偏心率周期是形成五级准层序的主要控制因素,而大致代表四级准层序组形成时限的413 ka长偏心率周期在地层记录中表现并不明显。据高频层序叠置关系分析及平均主旋回个数初步估算,塔中-巴楚地区下奥陶统鹰山组层序OSQ2的形成时限大约为4.92 Ma,塔中43井鹰山组层序OSQ2受后期构造隆升而被剥蚀约192  m。结合四级层序(准层序组)发育时限(413 ka)及其叠置关系,以及与其调谐的小波变换曲线特征,初步将塔中-巴楚地区鹰山组层序OSQ2划分出12个准层序组。自然伽马能谱测井ln(Th/K)曲线包含沉积古水深相对变化的信息,是反映气候变化生成的米兰科维奇旋回层序的良好指标。  相似文献

In an introductory section the problems of constructing a geologic time scale and the role of magnetic reversals and Milankovitch cycles in geochronology are outlined. Results of a detailed cyclostratigraphic and magnetostratigraphic study of the Valanginian/Hauterivian part of the pelagic limestone section at Cismon in the Southern Alps are presented and used in conjunction to estimate the duration of magnetic subchrons between CM10N and CM8. The new estimates are shorter than in most published time scales by a factor of two to three. More research along these lines may make a revision of the Early Cretaceous time scale necessary.  相似文献

 Recent developments in continuous core-logging techniques now permit us to recover the high-resolution time series necessary for the detailed spectral analyses of paleoclimatic proxy records. When applied to long records recovered by scientific drilling (5–10 Ma) they enable us to look at the long-term history and evolution of the ocean's response to orbital forcing. A serious limitation in these studies is the need to display the complex, multidimensional spatial and temporal interactions of the ocean-climate system in an easily comprehensible manner. We have addressed this issue by developing a series 3D visualization tools which permit visualization of the role of the orbital parameters in determining the latitudinal variation of insolation as well as the interactive exploration of multidimensional data sets. The ORBITS tool allows us to visualize the effect of orbital eccentricity, precession, and tilt on the latitudinal distribution of insolation on the earth at the solstices and the equinoxes for any time over the past 5 Ma (for Berger's orbital model) or 10 Ma (for Laskar's orbital model). The effect of the orbital parameters on insolation can be viewed individually, in pairs, or all three together. By moving the model steadily through time, the rate at which orbitally induced changes in insolation occur can also be visualized. To look at the ocean's response to orbital forcing we take the long time series generated from our paleoclimatic proxies and calculate their spectrum over a fixed, but sliding, time window. To view the complex multidimensional relationships found in these evolutionary spectral analyses, we use another interactive 3D data exploration tool developed at the University of New Brunswick (Canada). This tool (FLEDERMAUS) uses a six-degrees-of-freedom input device (BAT) and a series of software modules for color coding, shading, and rendering complex data sets, to allow the user to interactively "fly" through the multidimensional data. Through the use of color, texture, and 3D position, as many as six or seven variables can be explored in a simple and intuitive manner. With special liquid-crystal-display glasses, the scene can be viewed in true "stereo." We use these tools to explore the relationship between orbital forcing and the response of the benthic isotope and calcium carbonate record at ODP Site 846 (90°W and 5°S) This analysis shows an equatorial Pacific carbonate record which has a large component of linear response to tilt, but little linear response to precession. There is a major shift in response, from a carbonate-dominated response to an isotope (ice volume)-dominated response at approximately 4.5 Ma, and as expected, there is a large nonlinear response at the lower frequencies (400 and 100 kyr) during the past 800 kyr to 1 Ma Received: 22 June 1995 / Accepted: 29 January 1996  相似文献

海洋风尘沉积是一门海洋沉积学、古气候学、古海洋学的交叉学科,它在古气候、古环境和现代环境研究方面均具有重要意义。总结了近20年来国内外海洋风尘沉积研究领域的成就和进展,重点论述了其研究方法、手段和理论的进展,特别是化学分离石英在提取海洋风尘沉积组分中的应用,以及海洋风尘沉积在古气候学等方面的研究理论和取得的认识。阐明了风尘通量与源区干旱度、风尘粒度与风力强度以及它们与冰期旋回、米兰科维奇(Mi lanko vi tch)轨道参数旋回之间复杂的非线性关系。最后指出了该领域还存在的一些问题,并简要展望了未来的研究方向。  相似文献

Sedimentation rates (SRs) off SW Africa were calculated by performing spectral analyses in the depth domain on borehole and gamma-ray attenuation (GRA) bulk density data from ODP Sites 1081–1084. Inversion and integration of SRs versus depth from spectral analysis yielded detailed SR profiles in the time domain. Our technique allowed the detection of excursions in calculated SRs that not only often differed from those established through coarse-scaled biostratigraphic data, but also revealed a greater regional variability in the sediment accumulation over time. High-resolution bulk density data exhibited distinct periodicity in the waveband of Milankovitch cycles (precession at 19–23 kyr; obliquity at 41 kyr; eccentricity at 100 kyr). The pronounced Milankovitch cyclicity suggests that climate variability and trends in SRs along the Benguela Current System (BCS) were responding to insolation patterns during the past 6 Myr. We find relatively low SRs when evolutive amplitude spectra are dominated by obliquity and eccentricity periods. In contrast, significant SR peaks at all sites often occur when strong precessional amplitudes coexist with obliquity and eccentricity cycles. Episodes of high SRs often coincide with peaks in organic carbon mass accumulation rates (MAR Corg) and reduced sea surface temperature (SST) in the southern Walvis Basin, which have been associated with increased regional upwelling. This suggests that the high SRs reflect high productivity (high MAR Corg) attributed to strong wind and upwelling intensity during cool climate periods (low SSTs) in accordance with orbital forcing patterns observed in our spectra.  相似文献

Abstract. The North Adriatic coastal area has experienced a serious relative sea level rise whose main component is land subsidence. Geological regional subsidence is ascribable to compaction and to deformation of substratum. Anthropogenic subsidence, which is due to ground fluid removal, has been severe in the second half of the 19th century, reaching values in meters. It is without doubt the main factor responsible for the instability of the entire coastal ecosystem. Widespread retreat of shoreline, seawater invasion, decay of vegetation, changes in the habitat of the flora and fauna have occurred. Sea level rise alone is linked to climate changes, which exhibit fluctuations of the order of a few hundred years; here, cold-wet periods alternated with warm-dry periods and, within them, shorter cold-wet and hot-dry cycles lasting for decades also alternated.  相似文献

The stratigraphy of the western Portugal on-shore Cretaceous record (western Iberian margin, Lusitanian Basin) is described, including formal units and a selection of informal units prevailing in the geological literature. This paper is a synthesis based on a review of previous works, but with an innovative emphasis on the interpretation of eustatic and tectonic controls. The sedimentary record is dominated by siliciclastics and comprises fluvial and deltaic coastal marine siliciclastic systems, as well as extensive deposits of shallow marine carbonate platforms, both open and rimmed. Several regional unconformities and transgressive/regressive cycles are identified and the allogenic controls interpreted, namely the geodynamic events along the boundaries of the Iberian plate. Above the Berriasian deposits belonging to the Upper Jurassic cycle, the five main unconformity-bounded units are: (1) upper Berriasian–lower Barremian, (2) upper Barremian–lower Aptian, (3) upper Aptian–uppermost Cenomanian, (4) mid lower Turonian–lower Campanian and (5) middle Campanian–Maastrichtian. These units show transgressive peaks in the lower Hauterivian, lower Aptian, base of the upper Cenomanian and mid lower Turonian. The general trend of the Lower Cretaceous reflects the transition from late rifting to passive margin, with the last break-up unconformity dated as late Aptian. The Lusitanian Basin achieved full infill by the Cenomanian, when a large carbonate platform extended far inland. The later deposits were preserved only in the northern sector and the accompanying unconformities reflect transpressive intraplate stresses generated in boundaries of the plate with Africa and Eurasia. With very low accommodation being created throughout the Late Cretaceous, fluvial deposits were dominant, including a few marine levels related with eustatic rises in the early Turonian, the Coniacian, the early Campanian and the Maastrichtian.  相似文献

围绕对地质时间的认识,地层学取得了从岩石地层学、生物地层学和旋回地层学3次里程碑性的重大进展.以生物地层学为基础并与放射性同位素定年技术相结合建立的、以百万年为计时单位的地质年代表既创造了地层学的辉煌,也在一定程度上降低了地质学对精确数字定年的不懈追求和为人类社会服务的功能.本文以时间为线索,简要回顾了地层学解读时间的漫长过程,阐述了旋回地层学概念的起源、形成和发展,以及旋回地层学与层序地层学在科学目标、研究内容和研究方法上的异同.以广西晚泥盆世弗拉期-法门期之交海相碳酸盐地层为例,从理论与实践的结合上剖析了旋回地层学的研究方法以及在岩石地层学和生物地层学基础上构建高分辨率,并能与人类社会时间接轨的地质时间坐标的广阔前景和科学意义.  相似文献

The Liangshan and Qixia formations in the Sichuan Basin of central China were formed in the earlier middle Permian. Based on outcrop observation of the Changjianggou section at Shangsi, Guangyuan region and 3rd-order sequence division in typical drillings, one-dimensional spectrum analysis has been used to choose the better curve between the natural gamma ray spectrometry log(ln(Th/K)) in Well-Long17 and the gamma ray log(GR) in Well-Wujia1, respectively, for identifying Milankovitch cycles in Sequence PSQ1 which comprises the Liangshan and Qixia formations, and then to identify the variation in the Milankovitch cycle sequences. On this basis, the system tract and 4th-order sequence interfaces in Sequence PSQ1 were found via two-dimensional spectral analysis and digital filtering. Finally, a high-frequency sequence division program was established. Among these cycles, long eccentricity (413.0 ka) and short eccentricity (123.0 ka) are the most unambiguous, and they are separately the major control factors in forming 4th-order (parasequence sets) and 5th-order (parasequences) sequences, with the average thicknesses corresponding to the main cycles being 11.47 m and 3.32 m in Well-Long17, and 14.21 m and 3.79 m in Well-Wujia1, respectively. In other words, the deposition rate in the beach subfacies is faster than that of the inner ramp facies. The ln(Th/K) curve is more sensitive than the GR as the index of relatively ancient water depth in carbonate deposition. One-dimensional spectrum analysis of ln(Th/K) curve could distinguish the Milankovitch cycle sequences that arose from the Precession cycle (20.90 ka), with a much higher credibility. Sequence PSQ1 in Well-Long17 contains 10 4th-order sequences, and the growth span of Sequence PSQ1 consisting of the Liangshan and Qixia formations is about 4.13 Ma. The single deposition thickness of the long eccentricity cycle sequence has the characteristics of thinning and then thickening in the two-dimensional spectrum, which could be used to identify the system tract interface of the 3rd-order sequence. The precession sequence thickness remains stationary. As a result, the early deposition rate in the mid-Permian of the Sichuan basin was very slow, remaining nearly stationary, and this reflects a sustained depositional environment. Whole-rock carbon and oxygen isotope curves could also prove this point. Milankovitch cycle sequence studies provide a basis for paleoenvironmental analysis and, as such, can be used to analyze ancient climate change, calculate deposition rate and deposition time, and carry out fine isochronous stratigraphic correlation.  相似文献

The scarcity of numerical dates of the arid areas in southern Africa is a challenge for reconstructing paleoclimate. This paper presents a chronological reconstruction in the central part of the Namib Desert, Namibia, for the last 420,000 yr. It is based on 230Th/U dates (TIMS) from a large stalagmite and a thick flowstone layer in a small cave located in the hyper-arid central Namib Desert. The results provide for the first time evidence of three or possibly four succeeding wet periods of decreasing intensity since 420 ka through which speleothem deposited at approximately 420–385 ka, 230–207 ka and 120–117 ka following the 100-ka Milankovitch cycle. Speleothem growth was not recorded for the Holocene. These wet periods interrupted the predominantly dry climate of the Namib Desert and coincided with wet phases in deserts of the northern hemisphere in the Murzuq Basin, Sahara, the Negev, Israel, the Nafud Desert, Saudi Arabia, and the arid northern Oman, Arabian Peninsula.  相似文献
