The Gil-Marquez Complex is an exceptional outcrop of plutonic rocks ranging in composition from diorites to granites emplaced into Devonian terrigenous metasediments of the southernmost part of the Hercynian basement of Iberia. A combined study of this complex, including field geology, petrology, structural geology and geochemistry, reveals that it represents an ancient conduit of magma transport through the continental crust. This conduit allowed the intrusion of magmas of contrasted compositions. Two end-members and several hybrids are identified. The first end-member is a biotite granite and the second is a basaltic magma generated by partial melting of a depletedmantle source. Both magmas rose through a common channel in which favorable conditions for unstable flow and magma mixing occurred. The observed relations in the Gil-Márquez Complex show that mixing in conduits may be an important mechanism for producing homogeneous hybrid magmas.  相似文献

通过地质与地球化学资料的综合分析,揭示出胶辽地块古元古代前造山期深部地质过程主要为岩浆底板垫托作用,且具有3个特性,即幕式活动性、样式不对称性及空间上向南的迁移规律。受这一深部过程影响,在壳内引起了2.4Ga的基性岩墙侵位事件,古元古代裂谷带中双峰式火山活动(2.4~1.9Ga),巨量早期二长花岗岩的形成与侵位(主要为2.2~1.9Ga),二长花岗岩的侵位又引发盖层内改造型滑脱变形(2.2~1.9Ga),伴生顺层伟晶岩脉事件及低压高温变质和垂向顺层递增变质带等特殊拉张变质现象。  相似文献

研究了国产P204萃淋树脂反相萃取色谱分离富集岩石矿物中的痕量铍。在EDTA-Zn和H_2O_2存在下,上柱分离Fe、Ti、Al以及大量其它常见元素,再用5mol/L HCl洗脱Be后进行测定。方法用地质标准物质分析验证,其结果与推荐值吻合,对含Be为0.0092%的硅酸盐岩石样品进行7次平行分析,(?)=0.0091%,RSD=5.4%。  相似文献

The south-eastern Bohemian Massif consolidated during the Late Variscan orogeny by the oblique collision of two continental crustal blocks after closure of an oceanic realm. One microcontinent comprises portions which are now distributed among Moravian and Moldanubian units and which are characterized by Late Proterozoic tectonothermal events, especially by granitoid intrusions. The other microcontinent includes the Gföhl gneiss and granulites (Gföhl nappe) of probable Early Palaeozoic protolith ages. Both continental blocks are separated by an ophiolite-like assemblage, which is preserved in portions of the Raabs unit.Oblique crustal stacking is accompanied by north-eastward propagation of nappes in a dextral transpressive regime. Exhumation of previously thickened crust is achieved by equally oriented bulk extension but partitioned in distinct displacement paths. In the Northern part of the Variscan French Massif Central, the Sioule series, from top to bottom, consists of a pre-Viséan granite, migmatite, gneiss and mica schist. Two ductile deformations have been recognized. The earlier phase is characterized by a north-east-south-west trending stretching lineation; the second phase, characterized by a north-west-south-east trending mineral, stretching and crenulation lineation, is better marked in the lower mica schist part than in the upper granito-gneissic part. This second phase occurred during retrogression of the metamorphic rocks; related shear criteria indicate a top to the south-west shear. The Namurian-Westphalian magmatic bodies such as the Echassières leucogranite, Pouzol-Servant microgranite and numerous north-east -south-west trending microgranite dykes are emplaced in extensional fractures related to the same north-west-south-east maximum stretching direction. The asymmetrical shapes of the two granitic massifs indicate that they intruded towards the south-east. The synkinematic retrogression of the metamorphic rocks, the shape of the magmatic bodies and a re-examination of the numerous available data support the interpretation that the deformation is due to the extensional tectonic regime related to the Variscan crustal re-quilibration. This interpretation is in agreement with the correlation of the Sioule series with the Chavanon series. The two series belong to a unique tectono-metamorphic unit left-laterally offset by the Stephanian motion of the Sillon Houiller fault. This study also shows that the Sillon Houiller did not play a significant part during the Namurian-Westphalian extensional tectonics of the Massif Central. Correspondence to: M. Faure  相似文献

By means of facial, stratigraphic, petrographic, geochemical and geochronological studies we characterize the Garamilla Formation, cropping out in the western Nordpatagonian Massif.The studies of these volcanic rocks reveal an Early Jurassic volcanic episode formed by three volcanic units that change from normal calc-alkaline to high-K calc-alkaline series. Other geochemical features reveal a progressive change from an initial subduction-related volcanism to one intraplate-related volcanism.This volcanic episode is temporally and geochemically equivalent to those volcanic units located in half-grabens in several areas of the Neuquén Basin.The volcanic units were erupted into different structural designs. A portion of its depocenter was interpreted as a transtensional half-graben, whereas the other exhibits a trapdoor structure. The lineament trends that bound the volcanic system were also recognized in western Nordpatagonian Massif, and were assigned to the Gondwanide Orogeny.  相似文献

The Hercynian Armorican belt is made of different tectonic domains separated by large-scale shear zones. One of these domains, Central Brittany, was deformed by regional pervasive dextral strike-slip during Carboniferous times. This paper examines implications that the restoration of ductile strain within Central Brittany has on the deformation history along its boundaries and within adjacent domains. Data used for the analysis include surface structural features and recent deep seismic data. A good consistency is observed between model implications and available geological and structural data. Results lead to a reappraisal of the Carboniferous history of the Armorican belt, including relationships between tectonics, plutonism and basin development. They further emphasize the usefulness of restoration for integrated tectonic analysis of crustal-scale deformation zones.  相似文献

The Voltri Massif underwent a polyphasic tectono-metamorphic evolution that records both the Alpine and part of the Apennine deformation events. So this is a key-area to investigate the relationships between Alpine and Apennine deformation events.

This paper focus on the upper crustal deformations (UCD) that characterize the last stages of the tectonics of the Voltri Massif. In the Voltri Massif UCD are characterized by the superpositions of ductile, brittle-ductile and brittle structures that can be attributed to three main tectonic events (from D3 to D5). The oldest UCD event (D3) developed folds and reverse shear zones under ductile to brittle-ductile conditions. Main compressive NW-SE oriented regime characterized D3 event. Brittle-ductile to brittle reverse shear zones and important strike-slip/transpressive systems overprinted D3 structures. This D4 event was significant at the regional scale and occurred under main transpressive, NE-SW oriented, regime. The latest normal and transtensional brittle structures, that formed during UCD D5 event, locally reactivated the older structures.  相似文献
