The Mixed Water Region (MWR) between the Oyashio Current and the Kuroshio Extension and surrounding terrestrial region have been affected by the global climatic change. The sedimentary core KR02-15 PC6 collected at 40°23.8871′N, 143°29.8663′E in the MWR provides detailed records of pollen and spores and alkenone sea surface temperature (SST) during the last 15 kyr, showing that both ocean and terrestrial environments have been appreciably linked. Abundance of Picea, a proxy for terrestrial cool climate, fluctuated, coinciding with the alkenone-SST change during the interstadial period (15.0–7.7 cal kyr B.P.). Alkenone-SST increased to the modern level at 8.0 cal kyr B.P. and remained almost constant until 2.0 kyr B.P. while the terrestrial warming still continued until 4.0 cal kyr B.P. The rainfall under terrestrial warm condition increased gradually from 7.9 cal kyr B.P. and rapidly from 2.0 cal kyr B.P. Both terrestrial and marine environments cooled down during the last 2 kyr possibly due to the intensified cold Oyashio Current. 相似文献

晚二叠世初期上扬子盆地西部康滇古陆的隆升,是形成其东侧区域西高东低构造格局的首要因素,并控制了各期由陆到海沉积相带与富煤带随海侵向西超覆的抬升迁移。重庆市西部地区在龙潭期位于扬子盆地海陆过渡相区的东部,区内发育海陆过渡沉积相区-海湾潮坪沉积体系与浅海相沉积区,海湾潮坪沉积体系是本区主要聚煤场所。从层序地层分析,将二叠系上统划分为2个三级层序,其中层序1发育完整,主要煤层C25煤形成于海侵域之海侵初期,C18+19煤形成于高位域内次级层序的海侵期。 相似文献

利用1961—2017年江西省23个代表站逐日气温资料和1984—2017年14个农业气象观测站晚稻发育期资料,根据晚稻不同发育阶段,采用数理统计方法分析了晚稻寒露风的时空演变特征。结果表明:江西省(简称“赣”)轻度寒露风在9月中旬前出现的频率最高,赣北地区约3 a一遇,赣中地区约10 a三遇,赣南地区约5 a一遇,且由东南向西北呈增多趋势。中度寒露风在9月中旬前出现的频率较低,赣北、赣中约10 a一遇,赣南约20 a一遇;重度寒露风在9月中旬前出现的频率极低,赣中、赣北分别为0.4%和1.2%;中、重度寒露风由南向北呈逐渐增多趋势。轻度寒露风在晚稻幼穗分化到抽穗扬花阶段出现的频率为34.1%,灌浆阶段为26.9%;中度寒露风在晚稻幼穗分化到抽穗扬花阶段出现的频率为7.5%,灌浆阶段为8.0%;重度寒露风对晚稻的影响相对较小,在各发育阶段出现的频率均不到2%。 相似文献

Androecium of the earliest known flowering plant Archaefructus liaoningensis was found from the Upper Jurassic Jianshangou Formation of western Liaoning, China. The androecium consists of numerous stamens bearing in pair on the reproductive axes below conduplicate carpels. The stamens are composed of a short filament and basifixed anther for each. Monosulcate pollen in situ are found from the anthers. The characters of the androecium reveals that Archaefructus are probably protandrous, and the paired stamens and monosulcate pollen appear to indicate that Archaefructus, as primitive angiosperms,might be derived from extinct seed -ferns during the Older Mesozoic. Windblown dust deposits or loess, locally known in the UK as brickearth, blanket many parts of southern England outside the limits of the British and Irish Ice Sheet. The best‐studied loess exposures occur in Kent, southeast England, where the deposits are believed to be Late Glacial in age. New sedimentological evidence is presented for phases of accretion with two distinct units, a calcareous brickearth exhibiting periglacial cryoturbation and a non‐calcareous, massive brickearth. Optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) dating has been applied to chemically isolated modal quartz silts to derive a chronology for sediment accretion and to better understand the palaeoclimatic significance of these deposits. © British Geological Survey/Natural Environment Research Council copyright 2007. Trichoptera have been utilised infrequently in palaeoecological studies despite their value as environmental indicators of freshwater habitat structure and quality, via their aquatic larvae, and catchment macroclimate conditions, via the aerial adults. Two sites, dated ca. 11 600 14C yr BP, in the middle reaches of the River Trent (England) supported caddisfly (Trichoptera) assemblages indicative of a dynamic braided river with extensive floodplain development. At the first, Barrow‐upon‐Trent, the caddisfly assemblage was dominated by taxa indicative of a medium to large gravel‐bed river (Lepidostoma hirtum, Micrasema setiferum and taxa from the family Hydropsychidae). At the second site, Hemington, the caddisfly fauna was dominated by taxa from the families Limnephilidae and Phryganeidae. These usually occur in slow flowing and standing waters and are indicative of cut‐off channels on the floodplain. Micrasema setiferum does not occur in the contemporary UK fauna and has a modern distribution across central Europe and Fennoscandia. A gridded climatology extracted for those geographical areas where M. setiferum occurs today indicated a greater degree of continentality than currently prevailing in the Trent catchment. The value of Trichoptera in palaeoecological studies is explored and a model of channel evolution for the River Trent is presented based on caddisfly data.
