国外景观地理学发展的回顾与展望

在辨析景观的地理学及景观地理学的概念的基础上,总结了国外景观地理学发展的主要历程和成就,景观地理学的发展过程反映了人地关系的深化过程。通过对国外景观地理学发展的剖析,分析了其在研究领域及研究方法上的逐渐深化与完善,对新时期新问题下的景观地理学发展趋势及主要研究方向进行了展望。     

情感地理视角下脱贫村农户情感重构——以湖南省十八洞村为例

以湖南省花垣县十八洞村为案例地,以“留守”农户和“返乡”农户为研究对象,基于情感地理视角,通过深度访谈法和参与式观察法探究了精准扶贫政策影响下农户情感重构及其重构机制。结果表明：1）脱贫村农户情感重构主要包括归属感、幸福感、风险厌恶感、相对剥夺感和失落感5个维度的重构,这些维度相互影响、相互制约。2）精准扶贫政策的实施使得脱贫村农户地方归属感上升,幸福感增强,风险厌恶感下降。然而,扶贫力度的不均衡导致农户间的相对剥夺感增强,传统文化的消解和社会关系的重构等使得农户产生失落感。3）在脱贫村农户情感重构过程中,农户认知是核心力量,政府行动起主导作用,企业行动发挥辅助作用。政府和企业行动通过重构乡村地域系统的物质空间、经济空间和社会空间刺激乡村地域主体即农户认知转变,继而引发情感的重构。     

Evaluating the Geographic in GIS

Despite several decades of discussion and debate around the role of GIS in the discipline of Geography, it would be a stretch to argue that GIS has not irreversibly altered the discipline, both in the scope of research and teaching as well as in the wider imagination of a general public. However, it remains a challenge to incorporate the range of geographic knowledge, born of a diversity of modalities, into operational insights and analytical pre‐conditions in a GIS. To be certain, some irreconcilability between GIS and geographical inquiry is to be expected, epistemologically speaking. In what follows, we consider what might be meant by a shift to geographic analysis as scholars from disciplines in the humanities and social sciences turn to GIS as a method of observation, interpretation, analysis, and representation. In this context, we engage in a thought experiment and offer some commentary, fixing the notion of information system, while opening the geographic in GIS to more variable understanding. The point is to pursue greater development of GIS theory and method, encompassing, while not reducing, scientific, social scientific, and humanities research.     

The Challenges and Rewards of Introducing Field Trips Into a Large Introductory Geography Class

Fieldwork is an essential component of undergraduate geographic education, but with growing enrollment and limited resources few first-year instructors incorporate this activity in their courses. This article reports on the challenges of incorporating fieldwork into a large first-year course and the strategies adopted to respond to these challenges and the achieved learning benefits. Field trips were created to cater to approximately 120 students directly engaged in field activities, with each student submitting an individual written report. Through the field activities, students developed a better understanding of geography, a stronger class community, and a more positive relationship with instructional staff.     

North American Geographers and the Pacific Rim: Leaders or Laggards

The ascendance of the Pacific Rim is an indisputable global happening. North American geography, a logical leader in the study of this high profile phenomenon, has lagged behind other disciplines in Rim-focused research. This article argues in favor of a heightened Rim awareness, surveys recent publications, suggests promising Pacific Rim research directions, and proposes how the Association of American Geographers can help promote Rim studies.

社会文化地理学中小区域研究的意义

区域分析是地理学的研究范式之一．目前大陆社会文化地理学界出现了一个小区域研究热。本文从三个部分分析了小区域研究的意义,小区域研究需要把握的方向．以及不同方法论下小区域研究的特点。在第一部分中,本文从法国人文地理学的小区域研究入手．分析了小区域与大区域之间的关系,从而指出两者之间的研究不能彼此替代。从而说明．大陆人文地理学中小区域研究增多的趋势,不是地理学家从事小区域应用项目的结果,而是学科自身发展需要。本文第二部分强调,在小区域研究中需要选择与研究问题相当的区域,同时处理好小区域与大区域之间的逻辑关系,并运用小区域研究的方法,尤其是野外的方法。本文第三部分粗略分析了经验主义、实证主义、人文主义、结构主义和后现代主义视野下的小区域研究特点。     

自然地理学创新发展与展望

自然地理学自中国科学院地理科学与资源研究所建立以来一直是立所的核心学科,长期以服务国家重大需求为使命,在综合自然地理、气候、地貌、水文、土壤地理、生物地理、化学地理等各学科领域取得一批重要科技成果和进展,奠定了自然地理各分支学科在国内外的优势,为国家科技创新、区域经济社会可持续发展做出了重要贡献。本文回顾了中国科学院地理科学与资源研究所自然地理学的创新发展历程,总结了自然地理学取得的学术成就与标志性进展,并展望了中国科学院地理科学与资源研究所自然地理学未来发展,提出以陆地表层要素—过程交互作用机制,陆地表层格局动态研究,陆地表层系统过程的综合集成与模拟,陆地表层系统有序人类活动的可持续范式和调控机制为核心的发展战略。

地理空间信息网格这一重要的基础设施具有物理特征、基本特征和多方参与性等若干特征。详细分析、讨论地理空间信息网格的这些特征,对地理空间信息网格技术研究、地理空间信息资源共享、更加广泛地应用以及地理空间信息网格建设具有重要意义。
