Abstract Cordierite-anthophyllite rocks and related cordierite-rich, talc-rich and chlorite-rich rocks occur in the Rosebud Syncline, north-west Queensland, Australia, as part of a Proterozoic metasedimentary sequence. Field relations and rock compositions attest the sedimentary origin of these rather unusual metamorphic rocks. Their chemical composition is comparable to that of unmetamorphosed, alkali- and Ca-poor pelites, which are associated with some evaporite deposits. Other occurrences of cordierite-anthophyllite rocks have commonly been interpreted as metamorphosed chloritic alteration products derived from mafic or felsic volcanics. A comparative chemical study, using analyses of cordierite-anthophyllite rocks from such alteration zones and analyses of unmetamorphosed magnesian pelites, demonstrates the general chemical similarity between these two rock groups of entirely different origin. However, distinct differences in major element relations help to distinguish these two genetic groups. Particularly useful are Al2O3–FeO–MgO plots, in which evaporitic pelites occupy the Fe-poor side. The highly magnesian metamorphic rocks from the Rosebud Syncline fall entirely into the compositional field of evaporitic clays and shales. Furthermore, analyses of relatively immobile trace elements give supporting evidence for the sedimentary origin of these cordierite-anthophyllite rocks. The correlation with trace element ranges of clays and shales is very good. However, the correlation with trace element ranges of mafic and felsic volcanics is poor, and major discrepancies occur with Cr, Ni, Co, Nb, Sc, Th and Ti. Thus, the magnesian metamorphics of the Rosebud Syncline appear to be derived from evaporitic clays rich in magnesian clay minerals, such as palygorskite, sepiolite, chlorite or corrensite. The complete metamorphic rock assemblage of interlayered calcareous, aluminous and magnesian rocks is interpreted as a metamorphosed carbonate-evaporite-pelite sequence. 相似文献

Correspondence analysis was applied to 177 chemical analyses (major elements) of rocks from some rhyolitic zones of the Noranda area (Quebec). The objective was to grade the individual sample sections with respect to their attractiveness considering the chemical alterations related to mineralization. Intrusion of quartz‐monzodioritic igneous bodies of Oligocene age into Eocene lithic crystal tuffs and trachy‐basalts resulted in the occurrence of a widespread argillic alteration zone in the Jizvan district (northern Iran). Mineralogically, the argillic alteration zone includes minerals such as kaolinite, quartz, smectite, pyrophyllite, muscovite‐illite, alunite, rutile, calcite, feldspar, chlorite, hematite and goethite. Therefore, the non‐CHARAC behaviour for trace elements in the argillic samples is reflected in the non‐chondritic Y/Ho and Zr/Hf ratios and the irregular REE patterns, which appear related to the tetrad effect phenomenon. The chondrite‐normalized REE distribution patterns indicate both concave (W‐shaped) and convex (M‐shaped) tetrad effects in the argillic samples. Based on the field evidence and the results from geochemical studies, it can be concluded that the samples from the argillic alteration zone having high fourth tetrad effect values (>0.30) were developed in the fault and breccia zones. The results indicate that factors such as preferential scavenging by Mn‐oxides, crystallization of clay minerals, fluid‐rock interaction, overprint of hypogene mineral assemblage by supergene ones, and the structural control, have all played an important role in the occurrence of tetrad effects in samples of the argillic zone in the Jizvan district. 相似文献

The Kekesayi gold deposit is located in the Buergen ductile shear zone in the southern margin of Altay, Qinghe County, Xinjiang. The deposit consists of altered mylonite type and gold-bearing quartz veins type ores. The main ore-bearing rocks are gray metamorphic tuffs of the Tuoranggekuduke Formation. The ores are mostly lenticular and vein, and are strictly controlled by shear bands. Through field investigation, sample collection and laboratory identification, the structural alteration characteristics are studied in detail. The microstructure of quartz is analyzed by SEM cathodoluminescence (SEM-CL). The fluid inclusions of the deposit were studied by means of micro-temperature measurement and laser Raman analysis, and the tectonic-fluid evolution characteristics were discussed. Our results showed that: (1) The gold mineralization is closely related to the structural alteration of the ductile shear zone. The mylonitization, subgrain deformation and fluid structure are developed in the mining area. The recrystallized texture, dissolution structure and multistage composite shear structure characteristics of SEM-CL show that the deformation and metamorphism are very strong. The tectonic-hydrothermal activity resulted in strong silicification and pyritization and closely related to gold mineralization. (2) The fluid inclusions of quartz veins in the mineralized rocks are distributed in groups and the morphology of the fluid inclusions are mostly oval and tadpole in shape. The primary fluid inclusions are distributed in disorder, and the secondary fluid inclusions distribute linearly along the fissures mostly elongated owing to the strong tectonic deformation. Fluid inclusions are not of uniform size, generally are 8-20 μm. The types of inclusions can be classified according to the petrography and micro temperature measurement: two phase aqueous solution type (LH2O-VH2O), carbon-rich type (LH2O-LH2O) and single phase aqueous solution type (LH2O). The evolution of the fluid is characterized by high temperature, low salinity and rich CO2 in the early stage. As the deformation of the shear zone increases in the middle and late stages, the fluid evolved into low temperature, low salinity rich H2O. (3) The Kekesayi gold deposit has the characteristics of orogenic gold deposit, and the evolutionary characteristics of tectonic-ore forming fluids are consistent with the evolution of shear zones. Structural alteration of shear zone is the main controlling factor of mineralization. And magmatic hydrothermal alteration may also play an important role in mineralization. © 2018, Science Press. The Mount Lyell copper deposits are located in the middle Cambrian Mount Read volcanic belt of western Tasmania and consist of more than 24 separate copper–gold–silver orebodies. The dominant copper mineralisation style is disseminated pyrite–chalcopyrite subvertical pipes with subordinate chalcopyrite–bornite ± other copper phases, massive pyrite and base metal sulfides. A zonation in mineralisation style within the pipes is defined from chalcopyrite–magnetite at depth to chalcopyrite–pyrite at intermediate levels, to chalcopyrite–bornite at the shallowest level. Alteration is developed broadly symmetrically around the ore zones and zoned from quartz–chlorite–phengite ± biotite at depth to quartz–muscovite at intermediate levels, and a quartz–muscovite–pyrophyllite–zunyite assemblage at the shallowest levels. This is interpreted to be a result of a fluid that evolved from hot, reduced and neutral conditions at depth to cool, oxidised and acidic conditions at the shallowest level. The chalcopyrite–bornite deposits occur at the top of the hydrothermal system and are associated with intensely silicified rock and muscovite/pyrophyllite alteration. The close relationship of these deposits with the top of the pipes suggests they are part of a single mineralising event. Where the chalcopyrite–bornite deposits are juxtaposed with the Owen Group, rather than a simple chalcopyrite–bornite mineralogy, there are numerous other copper phases, which represent higher oxidation states and collectively suggest variable and fluctuating fluid conditions during deposition. It is proposed that these deposits are formed by an interaction of the reduced hydrothermal fluid with an oxidised fluid generated at very shallow levels within and during deposition of the Owen Group. Mineralisation within the middle Owen Group sandstones and clasts of altered rock within the middle and upper Owen Group sediments marks the end of the hydrothermal system. Around the entire edge of the Mt Lyell field, there is a variation in the white mica composition from proximal muscovite to distal phengite that represents the neutralisation of the hydrothermal fluid by fluid–wall rock interaction. 相似文献

西藏铁格隆南超大型铜(金、银)矿床地质、蚀变与矿化 总被引:5,自引:1,他引:4
铁格隆南是班公湖-怒江成矿带西段重要的斑岩-浅成低温热液铜(金、银)矿床,也是西藏地区首个铜资源量超过1000万吨的超大型铜(金、银)矿床,其蚀变与矿化结构的精细解剖,对完善区域成矿理论和指导找矿实践有重要的指导意义。文章基于详细的野外地质调查、钻孔编录和镜下鉴定,识别出铁格隆南矿床具有斑岩和浅成低温热液叠加成矿作用特征。其中,斑岩成矿作用主要位于矿床深部及外围,以细脉状、脉状、浸染状黄铁矿、黄铜矿、斑铜矿及少量辉钼矿等为主,蚀变为钾硅化、青磐岩化、黄铁绢英岩化,发育A、B、D型脉体。浅成低温热液成矿作用主要产于矿床中-浅部,叠加于斑岩成矿作用之上,以浸染状-脉状黄铁矿、硫砷铜矿、斑铜矿、铜蓝、蓝辉铜矿、斯硫铜矿、雅硫铜矿、久辉铜矿等Cu-S体系矿物为特征,蚀变为高级泥化,广泛发育N脉(即高岭石或明矾石-硫化物脉)。蚀变、矿化特征及脉体穿切关系揭示,矿床成岩成矿作用可细分为岩浆期(Ⅰ)、岩浆-热液期(Ⅱ)和表生期(Ⅲ)。成岩成矿年代学结果揭示,矿区内闪长玢岩侵位时代较早(123 Ma),代表岩浆活动上限;花岗闪长斑岩(122~120 Ma)是主要的含矿斑岩,与成矿作用关系最为密切;火山岩覆盖于地表,喷发时代较晚(111 Ma),代表成矿后岩浆活动的产物。钾硅化的黑云母和黄铁绢英岩化的绢云母40Ar-39Ar年龄分别(121.1±0.5) Ma、(120.8±0.9)Ma与斑岩成矿作用的辉钼矿Re-Os年龄((121.2±1.2) Ma)一致,而高级泥化的明矾石40Ar-39Ar年龄为(117.9±1.6)Ma与浅成低温热液矿化的黄铁矿Rb-Sr年龄((117.5±1.8)Ma)一致。所以,依据时空关系,铁格隆南超大型矿床成矿作用可细分为岩浆热液成矿作用(123~119 Ma)、浅成低温热液成矿作用(118~117 Ma)和火山岩覆盖保存(111~110 Ma)3个阶段。 相似文献

王家庄铜(钼)矿床位于鲁西邹平火山岩盆地。矿床围岩,即王家庄复合岩体,主要由闪长岩、二长岩和石英二长(闪长)岩等组成。从岩体周边向内到矿体,依次出现钾蚀变带、钾硅化蚀变带和强钾硅化蚀变带。矿床主要有两种类型矿石:深部蚀变石英二长(闪长)岩中的早期浸染状矿石和浅部角砾岩化石英二长(闪长)岩中的块状硫化物石英脉矿石。矿石矿物主要有黄铁矿、黄铜矿、砷黝铜矿和辉钼矿等。流体包裹体研究表明,除了证实有前人确定的富液相包裹体、富气相包裹体和含石盐的高盐度包裹体外,还在钾硅化蚀变-矿化围岩中发现含云母的流体包裹体。它们多随机或成群分布于石英晶核和生长环带中。岩相学、拉曼光谱和电子探针分析表明,含云母的流体包裹体主要由水液相+气相+白云母(黑云母)组成,其相比例随石英晶体不同或是相对稳定,或是有很大变化。显微测温表明,含云母的流体包裹体中水溶液的冰点和均一温度有很大变化,而主要集中在-5~10℃和310~360℃。热液金刚石压腔(HDAC)加热实验显示,含云母流体包裹体的均一温度可高达773~790℃,由此估算的均一压力高达275~380MPa,将大大超过地质推断的合理范围。对含云母流体包裹体的成因机制进行了讨论。认为它们不属于熔融包裹体范畴,而是钾硅化蚀变阶段捕获的原生流体包裹体,是从中酸性岩浆结晶作用晚期分离出来的富K-Al-Si组分、挥发分、盐类和成矿金属元素的含水流体中非均匀捕获的产物。伴随裂隙开放和压力温度迅速降低,导致大量白云母(少量黑云母和硅酸盐等)从富K-Al-Si组分的含水流体中结晶出来,沉淀在正在结晶的石英核部或生长表面坑穴,随后与石英周围的流体介质一起被捕获,成为含云母流体包裹体。含云母流体包裹体属于岩浆作用晚期自交代作用产物,它们与含石盐包裹体的共存反映了这两种矿物在岩浆-热液中达到饱和并沉淀出来,对于流体流动和成矿作用具有重要意义,并有助于我们对王家庄铜(钼)矿床成矿流体的性质和岩浆-热液演化过程有深入了解。 相似文献

Meter-scale subvertical strike-slip fault traces in the central Californian Sierra Nevada exhibit geometric complexities that significantly contribute to their mechanical behavior. Sections of faults that opened at depth channelized fluid flow, as evidenced by hydrothermal mineral infillings and alteration haloes. Thin sections show a variation in the style of ductile deformation of infill along the fault, with greater intensities of deformation along restraining bends. Orthorectified photomosaics of outcrops provide model geometries and parameter constraints used in a two-dimensional displacement discontinuity model incorporating a complementarity algorithm. Model results show that fault shape influences the distribution of opening, and consequently the spatial distribution of fluid conduits. Geometric irregularities are present at many scales, and sections of opening occur along both releasing and restraining bends. Model sensitivity tests focus on boundary conditions along the fault: frictional properties on closed sections and fluid pressure within sections of opening. The influence of the remote stress state varies along a non-planar fault, complicating the relationships between remote stresses, frictional properties, slip, and opening. Discontinuous sections of opening along model faults are similar in spatial distribution and aperture to the epidote infill assemblages observed in the field. 相似文献

全球地表覆盖遥感制图与关键技术研究项目要求对两个基准年度(2000年,2010年)的全球覆盖30 m分辨率遥感数据进行辐射处理,转换到地表反射率,数据以Landsat TM/ETM+为主,HJ-1A/B CCD数据为补充。海量数据中有些不适宜进行绝对大气校正,为了保证全球覆盖,对这些数据设计开发了一套自动的相对辐射处理及精度验证流程算法,利用相邻数据重叠区域进行相对辐射校正的方式,将数据由Oigital Number(DN)值直接转换为地表反射率,精度验证以MODIS地表反射率产品MOD09GA作为参考,比较对应波段数据的相对一致性,算法采用了图像分块处理技术及OpenMP加速技术提高效率,实际应用结果表明该算法流程可以满足项目对辐射处理精度、速度及自动化程度的要求。 相似文献
