Borehole seismic addresses the need for high‐resolution images and elastic parameters of the subsurface. Full‐waveform inversion of vertical seismic profile data is a promising technology with the potential to recover quantitative information about elastic properties of the medium. Full‐waveform inversion has the capability to process the entire wavefield and to address the wave propagation effects contained in the borehole data—multi‐component measurements; anisotropic effects; compressional and shear waves; and transmitted, converted, and reflected waves and multiples. Full‐waveform inversion, therefore, has the potential to provide a more accurate result compared with conventional processing methods. We present a feasibility study with results of the application of high‐frequency (up to 60 Hz) anisotropic elastic full‐waveform inversion to a walkaway vertical seismic profile data from the Arabian Gulf. Full‐waveform inversion has reproduced the majority of the wave events and recovered a geologically plausible layered model with physically meaningful values of the medium. 相似文献

相速度和偏振方向是研究地震波传播规律和描述介质特性的重要参数,在理论研究和实际应用中有重要作用.本文假定倾斜横向各向同性(TTI)介质对称轴位于观测坐标系XOZ面内,在此观测坐标系下直接推导了TTI介质弹性波相速度和偏振方向的解析表达式,再进一步利用Thomsen弱各向异性理论,推导了弱各向异性近似条件下弹性波相速度以及qP波和qSV波偏振方向表达式.理论分析和数值试例表明,在相速度方面,随着各向异性介质参数改变,qP波和qSH波速度变化较为平缓,qSV波速度变化较为剧烈.弹性波相速度近似式误差均较小,能较好地近似精确相速度.在偏振方向方面,SH波偏振方向只是传播方向和对称轴倾角的函数,而与各向异性参数无关,SH波偏振方向既垂直于传播方向,又垂直于TTI介质对称轴方向.除特定方向外,qP波和qSV波的偏振方向与传播方向均成一定角度,并且随TTI介质对称轴倾角的改变而改变;在精确和近似情况下,qP波和qSV波的偏振方向始终垂直;在精度允许范围内,偏振方向的弱各向异性近似式与理论解析式吻合较好. 相似文献

常规起伏地表地震波数值模拟均将地表以上的介质视为真空介质来处理,而这与实际情况不符。为解决这一问题,将地表以上介质视为声学介质,使地震波在该介质中以350m/s的速度传播。以两层起伏地表速度模型为例,分别采用声波和各向同性弹性波波动方程进行正演数值模拟,并与常规基于真空介质假设的计算结果进行对比,结果表明,基于声学假设的模拟记录可以更加有效地模拟真实的数据采集,并且反射波同向轴具有更好的连续性。 相似文献

This work is the first in the second part of a project dedicated to elaborating a Hamiltonian theory for the rotational motion of a deformable Earth. In the four works which make up the first part the basis of this theory is laid down, studying the effects produced when the Earth's elastic mantle is deformed by lunisolar attraction. More specifically, in Getino and Ferrándiz (1991), the elastic energy which is produced on the deformation of the Earth's mantle is studied, considering solely the second order in the development in spherical harmonics of the perturbing potential (tidal potential).The present article can be considered as an amplification of the above mentioned, obtaining, under the same hypotheses, but also very general, the general expression of the said elastic energy for any order of the development of the tidal potential. Although at first this expression, in its general form, is very complicated, the final result is extremely simple, and for the case n = 2, it coincides, obviously, with that already found by the above mentioned authors. 相似文献

Wal-Mart entered the German market at the end of 1997 but is still running at a loss in its 92 stores. This article tests the hypothesis that there are two main reasons for Wal-Mart’s problems in Germany. First of all, Wal-Mart is competing against very strong and well established deep discounters, especially Aldi. Secondly, there is the difference between the so-called Wal-Mart culture and German customer values. So far, Wal-Mart has not managed to close this gap or create a positive image in Germany. The first part of the article describes the differences between the two retail companies Wal-Mart and Aldi, whereas the second part focuses on the consumer perspective. Four hundred people were interviewed on the phone about their shopping behaviour in the city of Würzburg (northern Bavaria, 140,000 inhabitants). This paper presents the second part of a work that aims at developing a mechanical model for the behaviour of propellant‐like materials under high confining pressure and strain rate. The model is to be employed to determine the temperature rise due to mechanical dissipation during a dynamic penetration event. Using the kinematical and thermodynamic background derived in the first part, a viscoelastic–viscoplastic–compaction model is put forward and identified. Viscoelasticity and compaction refer to the elastomeric nature of the material, while viscoplasticity, including implicit damage through dilatancy, reflects its granular nature. Some numerical exercises are performed, in view of determining the major model forces and weaknesses, and of assessing the numerical algorithm robustness. A penetration event is preliminarily simulated, and a temperature rise field predicted. A study of the hydromechanical behaviour of a compacted swelling material in the range of suctions comprised between 0 and 40 MPa was performed. This study has required the development of two kinds of suction controlled oedometer devices based on two different suction control techniques. In the range of suctions higher than 8.5 MPa, the saturated salt solutions method was used and a new oedometer using this suction control technique was developed. For suctions lower than 8.5 MPa an osmotic oedometer was used. Despite the differences between the applied suction components (matric and total), the correlation between the two methods was verified for the tested material. The second part of the paper presents a set of oedometer tests conducted under various suctions. The effect of the applied suction on the hydromechanical parameters was studied. First, two swelling phases were highlighted: a low swelling phase above a suction of 4 MPa and a high swelling one below this value. These phases were considered as being related to the microstructure of compacted swelling clays. Secondly, it was shown that the slopes of the elastic part and of the plastic part of the consolidation curves were not influenced significantly by the applied suctions. In opposition, the preconsolidation pressure is affected by the decrease of the applied suctions even in the low swelling phase. A deep geological repository for nuclear waste requires the backfilling and sealing of shafts and galleries to block any preferential path for radioactive contaminants. The paper presents the coupled hydromechanical analyses of an in situ test carried out in the HADES underground laboratory in Mol, Belgium. The test examines the effectiveness of an expansive clay seal in a horizontal borehole specifically drilled for this purpose. The analysis covers the phase of seal hydration up to saturation and subsequent pore pressure equilibration. Hydraulic and mechanical constitutive laws suited to expansive clay materials have been chosen for the analyses with all the parameters determined independently of the in situ test. A quite good agreement has been found between test observations and computed results suggesting that the numerical formulation employed is able to reproduce the main features of a real sealing system. 相似文献

The results of a two-dimensional flexural analysis applied to the Andean margin, which is based on the correlation between topography and Bouguer anomaly, are here reviewed in order to characterize rigidity variations across and along the forearc–arc transition of the Central Andes and to understand the role of the forearc in the formation of the Altiplano Plateau. The forearc has maximum rigidities between 15° and 23°S. Forearc rigidity decreases gradually southward and sharply toward the plateau. The main orogen (elevations higher than 3000 m) is very weak along the entire Central Andes. A semi-quantitative interpretation of these trends, based on the relationship between flexural rigidity and the thermo-mechanically- and compositionally-controlled strength of the lithosphere, allows the following conclusions to be made: (1) across-strike rigidity variations are dominated by the thermal structure derived from the subduction process; (2) the forearc constitutes a strong, cold and rigid geotectonic element; (3) southward weakening of the forearc is directly related to the decreasing thermal age of the subducted slab; (4) very low rigidities along the main orogen are caused by the existence of a thick, quartz-rich crust with a low strain rate-to-heat flow ratio; (5) the strength of the plateau lithosphere is localized in an upper-crustal layer whose base at 15 km could be correlated with a P-to-S seismic wave converter (TRAC1 of Yuan et al., 2000 [Yuan, X., Sobolev, S., Kind, R., Oncken, O. et al. 2000. Subduction and collision processes in the Central Andes constrained by converted seismic phases. Nature, V 408, 21/28 Diciembre, p. 958–961]); (6) the forearc–plateau rigidity boundary corresponds to a zone of changing thermal conditions, eastward-increasing crustal thickness and felsic component in the crust, and low strain-rate deformation, which correlates with a west-verging structural system at the surface. These conclusions suggest that the rigid forearc acts as a pseudo-indenter against the weak plateau and allows the accumulation of ductile crustal material that moves westward from the eastern foreland. This pseudo-indenter is geometrically represented by a crustal-scale triangular zone rooted at TRAC1. This model allows the integration of existing contradictory ideas on the dynamics of forearc–plateau interaction that are related to the relative importance of upper-crustal compressive structures and lower crustal accumulation below the forearc. 相似文献

Reinforced soil structures can be used to protect infrastructures against rockfalls. An innovative way to implement such protection is to construct the front face using a cellular assembly. This paper focuses on the cellular scale, with the cell a complex heterogeneous material, composed of a wire netting box filled with rocky particles. The behaviour of a single cell was modelled using the discrete element method, thus accounting for the interaction between the rocky particles and the interaction between the box and the rocky particles. A constitutive model was developed and calibrated along confined compression loading paths, then preliminary elements of validation were obtained from the simulation of unconfined compression tests. 相似文献
