This study presents data on chloride and bromide concentrations in porewater, water and anion diffusion coefficients, and their accessible porosities based on radial diffusion experiments on rock samples collected from a 2000 m-deep borehole (EST433) drilled by Andra in the eastern Paris Basin. The distributions of water stable isotope and chloride concentrations in porewater along this column reveal transient flows of water and solutes between the aquitard layers and the surrounding aquifers. These distributions confirm the occurrence of two separate aquitard/aquifer systems: “Oxfordian/Callovo–Oxfordian/Dogger” and “Dogger/Liassic/Rhaetian”. This separation is confirmed by Cl−/Br− ratios, which are low in Liassic and Dogger porewater, suggesting the influence of primary brines, and which are close to the marine ratio in the Dogger groundwater. Based on these results, transport simulations in the two systems were carried out according to different scenarios. The simulation results confirm that transport properties obtained in the laboratory at sample scale may be extrapolated to the formation scale. It is highly probable that diffusion is the main transport process in the Callovo–Oxfordian formation. This may also be the case in the Dogger/Liassic layer, although a limited contribution from advection cannot be totally excluded. By testing different scenarios of boundary conditions in diffusive models, it is proposed that the Dogger aquifer was first activated in the Early Miocene. 相似文献

Effects of heat softening on the initiation of slide surface(shear banding) in clayey slopes during fast deformation were discussed.Controlling equations considering heat,pore pressure and mechanical movement were presented.By perturbation method,the instability condition of localized zone(i.e.criterion for initiation of shear banding) for thermal related soils,such as clayey slope,was obtained.It is shown that slide surface initiates once the thermal-softening effects overcome the strain-hardening effects whether it is adiabatic or not.Without strain hardening effects,strain rate hardening obviously plays a role in initiation of shear band.During initiating process,heat is trapped inside the shear band,which leads rapidly to a pore pressure increase and fast loss of strength.The localized shear strain is concentrated in a narrow zone with a width of several centimeters at most and increases fast.This zone forms the sliding surface.Temperature can increase more than 2?C,pore pressure can increase 160% in about 0.1s inside this zone.These changes cause the fast decrease in friction-coefficient by about 36% over the initial value.That is how shear band initiated and developed in clayey slopes. 相似文献

This work discusses developments related to the generation and measurement of directional wave spectra in multi-directional wave tank using deterministic waves. The details of the generation method, based on the single summation method described by Jefferys (1987), are given and the capacity of the Edinburgh curved wave tank to generate such waves is assessed. The Maximum Likelihood Method (MLM) and one of its derivative, The Modified Maximum Likelihood Method (MMLM) (Isobe and Kondo, 1985), are adapted to the characteristics of deterministic waves. The methods are assessed both with simulated waves and real wave elevations from the Edinburgh curved tank. Both methods show very satisfactory results with very stable angular spreading estimates and good tracking of mean directions of propagation across frequencies. The adapted MLM compares favourably with the industry standard, the Bayesian Directional Method, while only taking a fraction of the time needed to the BDM to produce its spectral estimates. 相似文献

The present study aims to analyze the effects of different submerged bars nourishment strategies using a 2DV process-based morphodynamical model. A two-barred beach profile typical of the French Mediterranean micro-tidal storm-dominated coastline is chosen as a reference profile. Two different kinds of modified beach profiles are considered. (i) Only the outer bar is nourished, the inner bar being unchanged (ii) both bars are nourished. Three typical wave forcing regimes are considered. The behavior of the natural profile is first investigated under the 3 wave forcing regimes. Then the behavior of the various nourished profiles is analyzed in terms of wave dynamics and bars behavior. On the basis of the model results, the outer bar only nourishment strategy appears to be preferable. 相似文献

The formation of beach megacusps along the shoreline of southern Monterey Bay, CA, is investigated using time-averaged video and simulated with XBeach, a recently developed coastal sediment transport model. Investigations focus on the hydrodynamic role played by the bay's ever-present rip channels. A review of four years of video and wave data from Sand City, CA, indicates that megacusps most often form shoreward of rip channels under larger waves (significant wave height (Hs) = 1.5–2.0 m). However, they also occasionally appear shoreward of shoals when waves are smaller (Hs ~ 1 m) and the mean water level is higher on the beach. After calibration to the Sand City site, XBeach is shown to hindcast measured shoreline change moderately well (skill = 0.41) but to overpredict the erosion of the swash region and beach face. Simulations with small to moderate waves (Hs = 0.5–1.2 m) suggest, similar to field data, that megacusps will form shoreward of either rip channels or shoals, depending on mean daily water level and pre-existing beach shape. A frequency-based analysis of sediment transport forcing is performed, decomposing transport processes to the mean, infragravity, and very-low-frequency (VLF) contributions for two highlighted cases. Results indicate that the mean flow plays the dominant role in both types of megacusp formation, but that VLF oscillations in sediment concentration and advective flow are also significant. 相似文献

Karanganyar and the surrounding area are situated in a dynamic volcanic arc region, where landslide frequently occurs during
the rainy season. The rain-induced landslide disasters have been resulting in 65 fatalities and a substantial socioeconomical
loss in last December 2007. Again, in early February 2009, 6 more people died, hundreds of people temporary evacuated and
tens of houses damaged due to the rain-induced landslide. Accordingly, inter-disciplinary approach for geological, geotechnical
and social investigations were undertaken with the goal for improving community resilience in the landslide vulnerable villages.
Landslide hazard mapping and community-based landslide mitigation were conducted to reduce the risk of landslides. The hazard
mapping was carried out based on the susceptibility assessment with respect to the conditions of slope inclination, types
and engineering properties of lithology/soil as well as the types of landuse. All of those parameters were analyzed by applying
weighing and scoring system which were calculated by semi qualitative approach (Analytical Hierarchical Process). It was found
that the weathered andesitic-steep slope (steeper than 30o) was identified as the highest susceptible slope for rapid landslide,
whilst the gentle colluvial slope with inter-stratification of tuffaceous clay-silt was found to be the susceptible slope
for creeping. Finally, a programme for landslide risk reduction and control were developed with special emphasize on community-based
landslide mitigation and early warning system. It should be highlighted that the social approach needs to be properly addressed
