Magnetic susceptibility is a non‐conventional way that can be used for evaluating proxy soil heavy metals pollution. The paper monitors available heavy metals (Cu, Fe, Zn, and Mn) present in cultivated soils around iron–steel plant by soil magnetic susceptibility. Our study was located in an area with high pollution with small grid density of 250 m in China. Results showed that low field magnetic susceptibility was significantly correlated with available Cu, Zn, and Mn. No clear association exists between magnetic susceptibility and available Fe, soil organic matter, pH. Frequency dependent susceptibility >5% suggests the possible presence of super‐paramagnetic particles, fly ashes produced during coal combustion.  相似文献

??The proper management of solid waste (SW) is a global environmental challenge. A major issue is the proper disposal of SW while balancing a wide range of criteria and working with different spatial data. In this study, we used geographic information system as a tool to perform multi-criteria decision analysis with an analytical hierarchy process to develop an environmental impact susceptibility model (EISM) for landfills. The model was applied to the state of California, USA and results are presented herein. In particular, the EISM considers factors such as geology, pedology, geomorphology, water resources, and climate as represented by 13 associated environmental indicators. The results of the EISM indicate that more than 75% of California’s territory is situated in areas with very low, low, and medium environmental impact susceptibility categories. However, in the remaining 25% of the state’s land, 61 landfills are located in the high and very high categories. These results are alarming because during the period from 2000 to 2015, these 61 landfills received approximately 308 million tons of SW, which corresponds to more than 57% of all SW disposed in California. The model results can be used toward mitigating the environmental impacts of these facilities.  相似文献

We measured the emissions of volatile aliphatic amines and ammonia produced by the manure of beef cattle, dairy cows, swine, laying hens and horses in livestock buildings. The amine emissions consisted almost exclusively of the three methylamines and correlated with those of ammonia. The molar emission ratios of the methylamines to ammonia, and data on NH3 emissions from animal husbandry in Europe, together with global statistics on domestic animals, were used to estimate the global emissions of amines. Annual global methylamine-N input to the atmosphere from animal husbandry in 1988 was 0.15±0.06 TgN (Tg=1012 g). Almost 3/4 of these emissions consisted of trimethylamine-N. This represents about half of all methylamine emissions to the atmosphere. Other sources are marine coastal waters and biomass burning.Possible reaction pathways for atmospheric methylamines are shown. Among various speculative but possible products N2O and HCN are of interest because the emission of methylamines could contribute to the global budgets of these compounds. Maximum atmospheric N2O production from methylamines are below 0.4 Tg N/year, which is less than 10% of the annual N2O growth rate. Although we do not expect the methylamine emissions to contribute in a major way to the atmospheric N2O budget, more studies are needed to establish this conclusion beyond doubt. 在高放废物处置库场地特性评价中,对于深地质处置方案而言,最有可能使放射性核素进入生物圈的机制是地下水的迁移,因此,水文地质研究是场址预选和评价中的一个重要内容.本文以甘肃北山预选区旧井地段为例,根据地下水同位素数据,结合所获得的地质、水文数据和信息,分析研究了研究区基岩地下水的起源、形成、演化和循环特征.研究表明,北山预选区旧井地段,深部地下水和浅部地下水均源自大气降水的补给,弱含水、低渗透、低流速是该区的主要水文地质特征.  相似文献

在华北石炭二叠纪内陆表海聚煤盆地,海侵的突发性和事件性,泥炭沼泽化的广泛性和等时性,是划分其层序内部构成单元的良好界面。研究表明,华北石炭二叠纪内陆表海聚煤盆地的层序结构为“二元结构型”,即“海侵-高位”,缺少低位体系域。海侵体系域由1~2个小层序构成,而高位体系域由小层序构成。体系域恰与小层序组对应,海侵小层序组表现为弱退积-加积型,而高位体系域则表现为弱进积-加积型。小层序为高精度的岩相古地理编图单位,它为解析层序格架和煤聚积规律提供了最可靠的依据。  相似文献

影响任何一个地下废物处置场所长期行为的一个重要因素是进入地下废物贮置洞室内的渗流量的大小,预测地下洞室中的渗流量是困难的,特别是当地下废物贮置洞室位于非均质非饱和带中,三维数值模型用于研究地下非均质中非饱和流动及流入地下洞室中的渗流量,讨论了非均质模型与均质模型的比较以及数值剖分尺度对计算结果的影响,进入洞室中的渗漏率随着引入系统中入渗量的增加而增大,选用4个参数来衡量渗流场的非均质程度:(1)介质的平均渗透率K0;(2)Van Genuchten参数α;(3)渗透率空间分布相关尺度;(4)渗透率空间分布变化的标准差σ,根据一个随机实现的渗透率分布,通过改变平均渗透率来研究其对流入洞室中渗透量的影响,对一个固定的入渗率而言,流入洞室中的渗漏率将随着Van Genuchten参数α的减小而减小,模拟结果表明流入洞室的渗漏率与介质的平均渗透率相关,即随平均渗透率的增大,流入洞室的渗漏率亦增大,流入洞室的渗漏率还高度依赖于非均质渗透率场的空间分布相关长度与标准差,一个大的相关长度或高的标准差均能导致流入洞室的渗漏率增大。  相似文献

本文以大气污染源、大气污染特征、降水化学特征和酸雨污染特征等方面论述了我国在气污染和酸雨污染属于“煤烟型”,并将我国的大气了环境状况与世界其它一些国家作了比较分析。进一步利用我们发展的南京大学酸沉降模式系统(NJUADMS)模拟了中国地区的SO2地面浓度和硫沉降分布,并与实际观测浆和亚洲酸雨模式(RAINS-ASLA)的计算结果作了比较。最后从能源结构和经济发展状况出发,论述了我国控制SO2污染和  相似文献

A significant criterion in evaluating disposal strategies for high-level nuclear waste is the assessment of the isolation capacity for the most radiotoxic radionuclides, the actinides. Important processes pertinent to potential mobilization from the waste forms, retention in secondary phases and migration of actinides in the geochemical environment of the near field of disposal locations are summarized. Inorganic industrial waste landfills have the potential to contaminate subsurface groundwater supplies through migration of leachates down to the water table and into groundwater aquifers, despite the use of compacted low permeability clay or polyethene liners. This paper aims the removal of Cu2+ and Zn2+ in the leachate from an industrial waste landfill using natural materials (natural zeolite, expanded vermiculite, pumice, illite, kaolinite, and bentonite) as a liner material. Cu2+ and Zn2+ concentrations for all treatments decreased during the process. Of all the different natural materials, natural zeolite, expanded vermiculite and pumice, with bentonite, were effective in removing Cu2+ and Zn2+ present in the leachate. However, the use of illite and kaolinite with bentonite as liner materials could be of disadvantage in Cu2+ and Zn2+ removal from leachate. The adsorption kinetic models were also tested for the validity. The second order kinetics with the high correlation coefficients best described adsorption kinetic data.  相似文献
