A Review of “In the Shadow of the State: Indigenous Politics,Environmentalism, and Insurgency in Jharkhand,India”

In this article, we first replicate and then adapt an existing index of social vulnerability to hazard developed for the United States to a non-U.S. context. We construct indexes for Norwegian municipalities, describe the adjustment process, and compare the replicated and adapted assessments. Our results indicate only a moderate correlation between the replicated and adapted vulnerability indexes and for several municipalities the difference between the indexes is considerable. This demonstrates that context matters and that indexes of vulnerability need to be adapted rather than replicated. To facilitate such adaption processes, we identify three types of accommodation: conceptual, technical, and geographic.

珠母贝人工苗养殖研究

在不同海区、不同水层养殖珠母贝人工苗,及用不同方法进行养殖小贝。结果表明:在开放性、半开放性、内湾性海区养殖11个月后,珠母贝壳高分别为64.5、51.4、69.8 mm,成活率分别为6.4%、0.8%、0.5%,其生长和成活率具有显著差异(P<0.05);同海区中3m、6m、9m、12m、15m水层养殖11个月后,珠母贝壳高分别为64.5、67.4、62.8、56.9、51.9mm,成活率分别为6.4%、6.8%、8.1%、11.7%、13.9%,随着水层的加深,珠母贝的生长变慢,成活率提高且差异显著(P<0.05);6个月龄小贝用穿耳法、片笼法、锥型笼法养殖5个月后,壳高分别长成56.1、55.7、51.7mm,成活率分别为72.6%、59.9%、51.7%,其生长和成活率具有显著差异(P<0.05)。     

草鱼网围养殖区声波的研究

对网围养殖区内草鱼的活动声涮进行了采集与分析．并将采集的声波进行了回放。结果表明．草鱼网围养殖区声波频率范围为0～3．2kHz．整个频段内没有宽带波峰。在草鱼饥饿、食饵和饱食的不同状态下养殖区内的水声特性有一定的差异。研究表明在网围养殖区通过声波回放能对草鱼起到诱集作用．在投饵回放、投饵不同放及不投饵回放声波的情况下，草鱼的响应时间分别为2．55、3．50、4．80min．存在显著差异。回放持续性声波和间隔性声波在响应时间上不存在显著差异。     

The Philippine National Collection of Microorganisms (PNCM): Repository of microbial diversity of the country

The prime function of the Philippine National Collection of Microorganisms (PNCM), being the national repository of microbial strains, is to collect and preserve strains for their continued viability and availability for future use. To date, a total of 2144 strains of bacteria (1357), yeasts (250), filamentous, fungi (377), algae (14), and strains still to be identified (146) are maintained at the PNCM. These are preserved and maintained using various methods which include modified liquid drying (lyophilization), ultra-low temperature (−70°C) storage in 10% glycerol, storage in sterile soil, distilled water and overlaying with mineral oil. Periodic viability testing is done to assess the stability of these preserved cultures under storage. Aside from preservation and maintenance of cultures, the PNCM is also involved in several research activities. One of these is the isolation, characterization and identification of some Vibrio isolates from the Philippines. Details on this particular study is presented in this report.     

养殖场苗池温度的计算机监控系统

通过对苗池和锅炉温度检测与控制单元、模拟信号处理单元、数据采集单元等硬件监控系统的研制,并在此基础上对计算机与数据采集单元的接口、苗池与锅炉温度动态显示和采集数据处理等软件模块进行开发,实现了先进的信息技术、自动控制技术和传感测量技术在养殖场的成功应用.     

Preliminary study on plasma membrane fluidity of Psychrophilic Yeast Rhodotorula sp.NJ298 in low temperature

The ability of cell to modulate the fluidity of plasma membrane was crucial to the survival of microorganism at low temperature. Plasma membrane proteins, fatty acids and carotenoids profiles of Antarctic psychrophilc yeast Rhodotorula sp. NJ298 were investigated at -3 ℃, 0 ℃ and 8 ℃. The results showed that plasma membrane protein content was greater at -3 ℃ than that at 8 ℃, and a unique membrane polypeptide composition with an apparent molecular mass of 94.7 kDa was newly synthesized with SDS-PAGE analysis; GC analysis showed that the main changes of fatty acids were the percentage of unsaturated fatty acids (C18∶ 1 and C18∶ 2) and shorter chain saturated fatty acid (C10∶ 0) increased along with the decrease of the culture temperature from 8 ℃ to -3 ℃; HPLC analysis indicated that astaxanthin was the major functional carotenoids of the plasma membrane, percentage of which increased from 54.6±1.5% at 8 ℃ to 81.9±2.1% at -3 ℃. However the fluidity of plasma membrane which was determined by measuring fluorescence anisotropy was similar at -3 ℃, 0 ℃ and 8 ℃. Hence these changes in plasma membrane's characteristics were involved in the cellular cold-adaptation by which NJ298 could maintain normal plasma membrane fluidity at near-freezing temperature.     

魏晋南北朝山水文化的分支

魏晋南北朝时期,中国山水文化的发展促使山水文学真正确立,并形成了三个分支,其一是以隐逸文化为基础的田园诗歌;其二是以旅游文化为基础的山水诗歌;其三则是以贵族文化为基础的别业文化。这三个分支共同构成了中国山水文化的渊源。     

节水型斑节对虾养殖池环境质量监测与评价

用质量指数法评价节水型斑节对虾养殖池的环境质量.将对照池海水平均质量指数与微生物调控的试验池比较,硫化物、DO、磷酸盐、COD分别高71%、43%、24%、8.3%,但非离子氨、无机氮分别低229%、122%.综合来看,试验池的水质优于对照池,对照池水质有轻微污染,污染因子是磷酸盐、COD、BOD;底质环境未受有机物和硫化物的污染,对照池有机物含量高于试验池,对照池硫化物含量低于试验池.     

试论价值观与语言相融合的文化教学对跨文化意识的培养

随着科技的不断进步，跨文化交际日益频繁，如何在外语教学中培养学习者的跨文化意识已成为外语教育者研究的新课题。试从文化的核心——价值观入手，以文化语言融合教学观为理论基础，提出价值观与语言相融合的文化教学新模式，以期培养学习者的跨文化意识。
