-A ring model is developed to investigate the ultimate strength of tubular X and XX joints in the case that the brace is compressed. In the present analysis, the tubular joint is made of elasto-perfectly-plastic material, and the arch element of the chord section intersecting with the brace is assumed to be rigid. It is found that when 6 plastic hinges for X joint and 8 plastic hinges Tor XX joint appear in the ring, the limit state is reached, and by means of the equivalent ring width Be formula proposed in a previous paper by the authors, the ultimate strength of tubular X and XX joints subjected to compression can be obtained. 相似文献

- Based on the Mohr-Coulomb failure principle and Rankine's theory, the laterally loaded pile ultimate resistance formulas of sand and soft clay proposed by Reese and Matlock respectively are discussed in this paper. The authors put forward the modified ultimate resistance formulas on the basis of which the ultimate resistance formula is developed for horizontally loaded pile in multi-layer soil in consideration of the effect of the overburden soil pressure on the calculation of soil layer. - The ultimate strength analysis of offshore jacket platforms is a research project which has been developed in recent years. With the rapid development of marine oil industry, the departments of design and IMR (Inspection, Maintenance and Repair) in the offshore engineering have attached great importance to this project. The research procedure applies to both the stress check of new design platforms and the whole safety assessment of existing platforms. 根据IEC61400-3设定工况,采用NREL开发的5 MW风机基础模型,应用FAST,以Aero-Hydro-Servo-Elastic耦合仿真技术对风机进行研究。对时域仿真得到的短期载荷,应用分块极大值法联合Gumbel分布外推计算风机极限载荷;以雨流计数法、线性累积损伤理论和S-N曲线为理论基础应用MLife软件,计算风机疲劳载荷。对比分析不同工况下浮式风机、近海单桩风机和陆上风机的极限载荷与疲劳载荷,进而探讨影响浮式风机动态响应的因素。结果表明,对于陆上风机和近海单桩风机,风是其主要载荷来源;而波浪是浮式风机主要载荷来源。对风机进行设计要根据特定海域统计的海洋气候条件,避免风机及其支撑结构的固有频率与波浪频率近似而产生共振;风机制造装配在一定误差范围内,质量不平衡对风机载荷几乎没有影响。 相似文献

A non‐parametric empirical approach, called the conditional average estimator (CAE) method, has been implemented for the estimation of the flexural deformation capacity of reinforced concrete rectangular columns expressed in terms of the ultimate (‘near collapse’) drift. Two databases (PEER and Fardis), which represent subsets of the original databases, were used. Four input parameters were employed in the basic model: axial load index, index related to confinement, shear span index, and concrete compressive strength. The results of analyses suggest that, in general, ultimate drift decreases with increasing axial load index, and increases with better confinement. An increase in the shear span‐to‐depth ratio has a beneficial effect until a turning point is reached. After that the opposite trend can be observed, i.e. a decrease in the ultimate drift with further increasing of the shear span‐to‐depth ratio. No clear trend is observed in the case of concrete compressive strength. The predictions, obtained by using the Fardis database are in general somewhat larger than the predictions from the PEER database, due to the difference in the definition of ultimate drift. The scatter of results is large. The local coefficient of variation, which is a measure for dispersion, amounts to about 0.2–0.5.
