人类干扰对洪泽湖湿地植被分布格局的影响

洪泽湖具有防洪、调蓄、灌溉、水产、航运、发电等多个功能,人类干扰对洪泽湖湿地植被的影响对湿地管理具有重要意义。分析了人工水位调控、渔业生产及水质恶化等人类干扰对湿地植被分布格局的影响。结果表明:在长期且密集的人类干扰下,洪泽湖水位表现出春低、夏高、秋冬平稳的格局,使得洪泽湖湿地植被表现出明显的年际和年内波动;洪泽湖的水位每年5-6月达全年最低,这使得一些耐涝性较强的湿生植物在挺水植被分布区广泛分布;受渔业生产和水质恶化的影响,洪泽湖湿地植被分布总体呈下降的趋势,随着南水北调东线工程的竣工,还将面临新的挑战。     

Evolving coronal holes and interplanetary erupting stream disturbances

Coronal holes and interplanetary disturbances are important aspects of the physics of the Sun and heliosphere. Interplanetary disturbances are identified as an increase in the density turbulence compared with the ambient solar wind. Erupting stream disturbances are transient large-scale structures of enhanced density turbulence in the interplanetary medium driven by the high-speed flows of low-density plasma trailing behind for several days. Here, an attempt has been made to investigate the solar cause of erupting stream disturbances, mapped by Hewish & Bravo (1986) from interplanetary scintillation (IPS) measurements made between August 1978 and August 1979 at 81.5 MHz. The position of the sources of 68 erupting stream disturbances on the solar disk has been compared with the locations of newborn coronal holes and/or the areas that have been coronal holes previously. It is found that the occurrence of erupting stream disturbances is linked to the emergence of new coronal holes at the eruption site on the solar disk. A coronal hole is indicative of a radial magnetic field of a predominant magnetic polarity. The newborn coronal hole emerges on the Sun, owing to the changes in magnetic field configuration leading to the opening of closed magnetic structure into the corona. The fundamental activity for the onset of an erupting stream seems to be a transient opening of pre-existing closed magnetic structures into a new coronal hole, which can support highspeed flow trailing behind the compression zone of the erupting stream for several days.     

Verification of a Similar Cycle Prediction for the Ascending and Peak Phases of Solar Cycle 23

Reviews of long-term predictions of solar cycles have shown that a precise prediction with a lead time of 2 years or more of a solar cycle remains an unsolved problem. We used a simple method, the method of similar cycles, to make long-term predictions of not only the maximum amplitude but also the smoothed monthly mean sunspot number for every month of Solar Cycle 23. We verify and compare our prediction with the latest available observational results.     

地磁感应电流研究综述

因太阳活动而引起的地磁扰动,会在地球表面感生出地电场,从而在地表附近的导体系统中产生地磁感应电流(GICs).太阳表面的异常活动而引起的磁暴会导致强烈的GICs,严重威胁电信设备、电网、油气管道和铁路运输网络等基础设施系统的安全运行,已经成为最严重的空间天气灾害之一.因此,对GICs进行深入研究以建立对其做出迅速预测的能力,在科学和应用方面都有重要意义.本文综述了GICs的研究进展,从引入空间天气的概念开始,将GICs作为从太阳活动到太阳风再到地球扰动的空间天气链的最终环节;重点阐述了GICs的计算中所涉及的三个步骤:地球表面地磁场重建、感应地电场的计算,以及地面导体系统中GICs计算;对每一步骤中主要方法的相关原理和应用做了简要介绍与评估;最后总结了当前GICs的研究现状,并对未来GICs的研究方向与挑战进行了展望.     

The effects of grazing on the endangered Sinai Thyme (Thymus decussatus) in a hyper-arid environment

Herbivores play a key role in determining plant community composition. Historically grazing has been deemed detrimental for plants, but recent theoretical and empirical studies suggest that grazing may in fact be beneficial. Grazing is more likely to improve primary productivity in areas with a grazing history, where the plants are adapted to tolerate grazing, and also in arid environments because water stress and grazing select for comparable plant traits. Sinai Thyme (Thymus decussatus) in the arid St Katherine Protectorate of South Sinai has high apparent mortality rates and poor condition, both of which have detrimental consequences for its associated herbivores, particularly the Critically Endangered Sinai Baton Blue (Pseudophilotes sinaicus) whose larval stage feeds exclusively upon this plant. One recent conservation action banned grazing but there has been no obvious improvement in the thyme with continued high mortality, and local Bedu claim that grazing is in fact advantageous for plant health. We carried out a factorial experiment that manipulated simulated grazing, fertilizing and watering of thyme. This showed no evidence of any negative response to grazing or that watering or fertilizing had any effect either, presumably their impact is smaller than the current inter-annual variability caused by climatic fluctuations.     

土地覆被变化与管理对土壤动物群落演变的耦合效应

以黑河中游人工绿洲边缘天然草地及其转变的人工梭梭灌木林（21 a）、人工杨树林（28 a）、人工樟子松林（33 a）和农田（开垦27 a和100 a）为研究对象,基于6种研究样地中小型土壤动物群落的调查数据,采用多变量排序和通径分析等方法,研究了土地利用/覆被变化与管理措施对中小型土壤动物群落及其主要类群演变的耦合效应。主要结果是:①将天然草地转变为未实施管理措施的人工梭梭灌木林后并未引起土壤动物群落组成、数量和物种多样性的显著变化,而转变为实施管理措施的杨树和樟子松人工林及农田后,导致了土壤动物群落组成、数量和物种多样性的变异,证实了土地覆被变化对中小型土壤动物群落的作用及其效应受管理措施的强烈调控。②土壤动物群落的演变过程受土地覆被变化与灌溉和施肥管理的共同影响,其中灌溉的贡献率最大,是关键驱动因子。③不同土壤动物类群对土地覆被变化和管理耦合作用的响应不同。灌溉对跳虫、甲螨和革螨的个体数量和物种丰富度的直接影响和总效应最大;施肥对辐螨的个体数量和物种丰富度的直接影响和总效应最大;灌溉和施肥对稀有类群的个体数量和物种丰富度的直接影响和总效应均较大,具同等重要的作用。结论是,土地覆被变化与管理耦合作用通过改变土壤水文和生态环境条件驱动了中小型土壤动物群落的演变过程。     

DEMETER卫星监测到的海地地震前电离层扰动

本文利用法国DEMETER卫星观测到的电离层数据, 对2010年1月12日加勒比海地区海地太子港附近发生的M_S7.1地震震前电离层扰动进行了探索性研究。 通过对电磁场频谱、 等离子体数密度、 温度等物理参量的分析, 探讨了电离层变化与地震的关系。 研究结果表明, 海地地震前出现的异常电磁现象的空间效应是清楚的, 震前几小时磁赤道峰存在剧烈扰动, 震中附近电场分量E₁₂低频谱密度有增强现象。 临震前1天和临震前3天在震中＋5°范围电子数密度(N_e)出现异常, 震前8天氧离子(O⁺)数密度在震中上空出现了异常现象。 震前震中区上空电磁场VLF在40 Hz和120 Hz等低频点出现清晰的电场异常扰动, 震前出现的这种变化可能与地震有关。     

地电场多极距观测的异常识别和分析

以上海地区的3个地电场观测台站的资料为例,结合地电场多极距观测原理对地电场信号异常进行识别分析。结果表明,利用地电场多极距观测装置系统和分析方法可以有效识别并区分地电场观测中的电极极化干扰、雷击干扰、高压直流输电干扰、电离层扰动干扰和自然电场异常等信号。     

GPS/重力边值问题实用公式推导及分析

基于GPS/重力边值问题的连续趋近解,推导了形式上更为简单,物理意义更加明确的实用公式.同时利用扰动重力的泰勒级数展开式直接证明了GPS/重力边值问题实用公式的正确性,并且进一步阐明其物理含义.在实用公式中,我们引入了扰动重力垂直梯度这个物理量,这在观测数据多元化的今天具有积极意义.     

地震电磁卫星观测物理量简介

地震引发电离层扰动反映在某些特定的物理量上已经得到人们的共识,但其中哪些量反映的特征最明显,最有利于提取地震电离层异常仍然不明确,需要进一步的深入研究。本文介绍了法国的DEMETER、乌克兰的SICH-1M、意大利的ESPER IA及俄罗斯的COMPASS-2等几个主要地震电磁卫星的观测物理量,以资参考。
