Snowpack dynamics through October 2014–June 2017 were described for a forested, sub‐alpine field site in southeastern Wyoming. Point measurements of wetness and density were combined with numerical modeling and continuous time series of snow depth, snow temperature, and snowpack outflow to identify 5 major classes of distinct snowpack conditions. Class (i) is characterized by no snowpack outflow and variable average snowpack temperature and density. Class (ii) is characterized by short durations of liquid water in the upper snowpack, snowpack outflow values of 0.0008–0.005 cm hr?1, an increase in snowpack temperature, and average snow density between 0.25–0.35 g cm?3. Class (iii) is characterized by a partially saturated wetness profile, snowpack outflow values of 0.005–0.25 cm hr?1, snowpack temperature near 0 °C, and average snow density between 0.25–0.40 g cm?3. Class (iv) is characterized by strong diurnal snowpack outflow pattern with values as high as 0.75 cm hr?1, stable snowpack temperature near 0 °C, and stable average snow density between 0.35–0.45 g cm?3. Class (v) occurs intermittently between Classes (ii)–(iv) and displays low snowpack outflow values between 0.0008–0.04 cm hr?1, a slight decrease in temperature relative to the preceding class, and similar densities to the preceding class. Numerical modeling of snowpack properties with SNOWPACK using both the Storage Threshold scheme and Richards' equation was used to quantify the effect of snowpack capillarity on predictions of snowpack outflow and other snowpack properties. Results indicate that both simulations are able to predict snow depth, snow temperature, and snow density reasonably well with little difference between the 2 water transport schemes. Richards' equation more accurately simulates the timing of snowpack outflow over the Storage Threshold scheme, especially early in the melt season and at diurnal timescales. 相似文献

Concentrations of Pb, Cd, Cu and Zn have been measured using improved ultraclean procedures in a succession of twenty six snow samples integrating a 40 yr time sequence from 1940 to 1980 which were collected from the walls of a 6 m deep pit at stake D 55 in Adelie Land, East Antarctica. Measured concentrations, which are among the lowest ones ever measured in Antarctic snows, are found not to have significantly increased during the investigated time period, with the possible exception of Pb for which there might have been a significant increase after the mid 1960's. For this last metal, measured concentrations in the 1940's are about 6-fold higher than in Antarctic Holocene ice several thousand years old, which indicates that a large fraction of the anthropogenic increase for Pb probably occurred before the 1940's. 相似文献

Recent multilateral trade agreements are among the major manifestations of neoliberalism. They are also emerging as some of the most important sites of environmental governance in the 21st century. I argue here that these trade agreements, particularly the sweeping new protections they provide for investors, are redefining property rights and environmental governance in fundamental ways. I suggest that in addition to furthering the centuries-long process of the enclosure of nature under capitalism, the neoliberal agenda of NAFTA and similar trade agreements also involves something new: the privatization, or primitive accumulation, of conditions of production as an accumulation strategy. The investigation of the occurrence of lead in dated snow and ice from Greenland and Antarctica has played a major role in our understanding of the history of the pollution of the atmosphere of our planet by this metal. Such studies have however proved to be very demanding, mainly because of the extreme purity of polar snow and ice. Reliable measurements can be obtained only if ultra-clean and highly sensitive procedures are used, as pioneered by Clair Patterson. The Greenland data show evidence of large-scale pollution of the atmosphere of the Northern Hemisphere for lead as early as two millennia ago during Greco–Roman times, especially because of mining and smelting activities in southern Spain. It peaked at the end of the 1960s, with lead concentrations in snow about 200 times higher than natural values, before declining during recent times because of the fall in the use of leaded gasoline. Lead pollution in Antarctica was already significant at the end of the 19th century as a consequence of whaling activities, the traffic of coal-powered ships crossing the Cape Horn, and mining activities in South America, South Africa and Australia. After declining because of the opening of the Panama Canal, the great economic depression and World War II, it reached a maximum during the 1980s, with lead concentrations 20 times higher than natural values. 塔中地区油气成藏复杂, 影响因素较多。通过对已钻井油气藏的分析, 认为该区影响油气成藏的控制因素有①烃源岩; ②运移通道(断层控制油气纵横向分布、运载层对油气的横向运移作用、不整合面对油气的横向运移控制); ③构造类型(圈闭类型、构造样式、成油期古隆起); ④构造演化; ⑤储层物性及展布; ⑥储盖组合; ⑦火成岩对油气藏的影响。成藏规律为①圈闭和油源断层是东河组成藏的必要条件; ②构造与储层控油、多期成藏、后期充注是志留系成藏的基本特征; ③储层发育程度是奥陶系成藏的关键; ④油气多期充注造成多层系含油、南北分异的成藏特点。该区油气成藏条件好, 勘探程度较高。尤其奥陶系碳酸盐岩油气藏以类型多、含油气井段长, 其形态受不规则孔、缝、洞储层的控制, 非均质性极强, 储层发育程度是奥陶系油气富集的主控因素。 相似文献

为了研究含油气盆地源外斜坡区油气分布规律,在源外斜坡区断砂配置运聚机制及有利分布区研究的基础上,通过砂体连通分布区和砂体所在地层顶面砂体输导油气汇聚区,确定油气成藏期砂体输导油气分布区;通过断裂填充物泥质含量与断裂侧向封闭所需的最小填充物泥质含量的相对大小,确定油气成藏期河道砂体上倾方向断裂侧向封闭部位,二者叠合建立了一套源外斜坡区有利于油气运聚的断砂配置分布区预测方法,并将其应用于渤海湾盆地歧口凹陷有利于油气运聚的扣村断裂与沙一下亚段砂体配置分布区的预测中。结果表明:有利于油气运聚的扣村断裂与沙一下亚段砂体配置分布区主要分布在其东部,有利于西北歧南次凹沙三段源岩生成油气在扣村断裂附近沙一下亚段内聚集成藏,与目前扣村断裂附近沙一下亚段已发现油气主要分布在其东部相吻合,表明该方法用于预测源外斜坡区有利于油气运聚的断砂配置分布区是可行的。 相似文献

通过对四川盆地西北部中坝气田中三叠统雷口坡组气藏已发现油气与有利沉积相带、局部构造、等关系的分析,结合试采试油资料与储层厚度、物性与录井显示关系的统计分析,总结认为油气成藏发育了多套烃源岩,具有良好的储集条件和保存条件。通过对各个构造运动阶段雷口坡气藏被改造与再形成的分析,提出油气主控因素是后期构造运动的影响,主要经历了印支期、燕山期和喜山期构造运动的改造形成的古圈闭,油气藏受到破坏然后再形成的整个过程。该主识对中坝气田未来的勘探开发具有指导意义。 相似文献
