在对CA海山玄武岩CAD21样品岩相学研究基础上,运用电子探针和X-荧光光谱法(XRF)对中太平洋CA海山斜长石斑晶中的环带、斜长石微晶和玄武岩中的硅酸盐进行了化学成分研究。CA海山玄武岩为地幔柱成因的板内玄武岩;斜长石斑晶具有环带结构,环带核部与边部为不连续消光,是不连续环带;环带核部为培长石,边部为拉长石,是岩浆演化过程中形成的正环带,其成因受岩浆演化过程中熔体组分及温、压条件的共同制约。斜长石斑晶核部、边部及斜长石微晶估算温度平均值分别为1 281,1 198和1 071 ℃,分别代表了岩浆源区、岩浆房及岩浆喷发温度,三者温度差值较小,这和洋岛玄武质岩浆的形成及喷发特点相吻合。  相似文献

作者对塔里木西部奥依塔克斜长花岗岩中的锆石进行了配套的原位微区U-Pb年龄和Hf同位素分析。两个样品的锆石U-Pb平均年龄分别为:337.5±6.5Ma和339.2±6.5Ma(Th/U 比值在0.3~1.0之间),与前人所获得的SHRIMP年龄基本一致。所有锆石的176Hf/177Hf比值均分布在0.2829~0.2831之间,并具有极高的正εHf值(12~17),其平均Lu-Hf亏损地幔模式年龄为359.1Ma,与其U-Pb年龄十分接近。上述Hf同位素特点反映出其源区可能为新生的玄武质下地壳。此外,所有锆石的176Hf/177Hf比值和εHf值基本位于亏损地幔演化线上,指示该新生的玄武质下地壳来源于亏损地幔。结合前人对该岩体以及区域地质的研究,推测奥依塔克岩体应与巴楚—喀什一带石炭纪似层状杂岩体相关,其形成可能受石炭纪时导致天山裂谷发育的地幔柱活动的影响。  相似文献

The Novosibirsk H5/6 ordinary chondrite has signs of shock metamorphism, such as dark shock-melt veins (SMVs) crossing the chondrite host rock. The plagioclase composition grains (Ab78An14Or7) with jadeite were found in the host-rock fragments inside the SMVs. Jadeite has an unusual radial-concentric spherulite-like microtexture. The spherulite-like jadeite formed from the molten plagioclase grain under high-pressure and high-temperature conditions during an impact event. The crystallization was accompanied by sodium-potassium differentiation between coexisting jadeite and residual melt. The PT-conditions of jadeite formation were estimated to be 3-14 GPa and 1400-2150 °C. Jadeite crystallization, Na-K differentiation, and the pressure-temperature estimates of jadeite formation in the Novosibirsk chondrite are very close to those in the Chelyabinsk LL5 chondrite. The spherulite-like microtexture and jadeite-glass coexistence, most likely, point to a high cooling rate of the SMVs at the pressure release stage of the metamorphic process.  相似文献

Inclusions of quenched silicate liquid in igneous phenocryst phases represent important windows into the pre-eruption chemistry of volcanic rocks. Melt inclusions are subject to a variety of potential modifications after entrapment, which obscure the connection between final inclusion composition, and entrapment conditions. We concentrate on the effects of post-entrapment crystallization (PEC) in the cooling inclusion. PEC is neither an isobaric nor an isochoric process. Pressure decreases between 2 and 27 bars per degree of cooling, depending on the chemistry of melt and host and on the degree of PEC. In the equilibrium case, between about 50% and 65% of this pressure effect is due to thermal expansivity of the liquid, 10–35% from thermal expansivity of the host, and 5–40% from mass transfer between the inclusion and host. This complicates the application of simple element-partitioning schemes for back-calculating the effects of post-entrapment crystallization except in the simplest cases. We present a thermodynamic algorithm for PEC correction. This method is based on the self-consistent thermodynamic model set used in the MELTS software package. The algorithm moves backward through the PEC process, incrementally adding equilibrium crystal composition to the liquid while accounting for consequent variations in pressure and oxygen fugacity. Entrapment conditions are assumed to have been reached when the instantaneous liquidus solid composition most closely matches that of the bulk host crystal. Besides giving information on the degree of PEC and initial inclusion composition, the proposed algorithm can provide constraints on the pressure, temperature and oxygen fugacity at the time of entrapment. Olivine- and orthopyroxene-hosted inclusions from Popocatépetl, Mexico help constrain pre-eruption conditions for mixed magmas from recent eruptive products. Feldspar-hosted inclusions from Satsuma-Iwojima, Japan suggest that these magmas were substantially undersaturated with respect to supercritical vapor phase at the time of entrapment and underwent on the order of 29% post-entrapment crystallization. Quartz-hosted inclusions can potentially be employed in more silicic compositions, but this will require refinement of existing thermodynamic models.  相似文献

Precise time constraints of the main extrusive phase of the Emeishan large igneous province (ELIP) remain unresolved because basalts commonly do not contain suitable minerals for U–Pb dating, whereas previous 40Ar/39Ar studies on basalts yielded tectonothermal overprint ages. The timing for the ELIP was deduced from indirect dating of minor intrusions of ultramafic/mafic and felsic compositions by geochronological methods and geological correlations. The extrusive part of the ELIP consists of an older low-Ti and younger high-Ti basalt phases. We have found fresh samples of plagioclase-phyric rocks at the lower Qiaojia extrusive section (the Yunnan province of China), which belong to the ELIP unit of the high-Ti basalt series. 40Ar/39Ar dating on plagioclase from two samples conducted at two different laboratories using different age standards yielded statistically indistinguishable results with the weighted mean age of 260.1 ± 1.2 Ma for five individual measurements. This provides the direct constraints on the onset of the ELIP high-Ti basalt extrusive phase. The obtained age is within the error or slightly older than the age of the Guadalupian–Lopingian boundary and felsic ignimbrite capping the ELIP lava succession (both dated at 259.1 ± 0.5 Ma). Our new data are strengthening the short duration of the, at least, high-Ti phase of the ELIP volcanism and its temporal link with the end-Guadalupian mass extinction. Estimation of the total duration of the ELIP volcanism awaits finding of suitable for dating low-Ti basalts.  相似文献

柴北缘乌兰县二郎洞地区的达肯大坂岩群主要由黑云斜长片麻岩、混合岩、黑云母石英片岩、斜长角闪岩和大理岩、花岗片麻岩等共同组成。本文首次对两件混合岩化黑云斜长片麻岩样品中的锆石进行了内部结构分析和SHRIMP测年, 黑云斜长片麻岩中的锆石大多具有核-边结构, 核部和边部分别表现为典型的岩浆和变质成因锆石特征。一件样品中锆石核部206 Pb/238 U加权平均年龄为503.8±5.1 Ma, 边部206 Pb/238 U加权平均年龄为449±9.9 Ma; 另一件样品核部206 Pb/238 U加权平均年龄为493.6±4.5 Ma。这些结果表明, 乌兰县二郎洞地区达肯大坂岩群中的混合岩化黑云斜长片麻岩原岩形成年龄为504~494 Ma, 属于晚寒武世岩浆活动的产物, 变质年龄为449 Ma, 分别与柴北缘岛弧岩浆作用和超高压变质作用的时限相一致。研究表明, 二郎洞地区达肯大坂岩群不仅有新太古代-古元古代基底岩石, 还包含早古生代的岩石组合, 为一套不同性质和不同时代的混杂岩。  相似文献

矿物环带结构是岩浆过程的良好记录,而矿物温压计可以定量计算岩浆的物理化学条件。该次研究对邯邢地区中生代侵入岩中两个浅成侵入体中典型的斜长石斑晶进行了电子探针和LA-ICP-MS元素面扫描,同时对其中不同成因的角闪石晶体进行了电子探针分析和物理化学条件计算。通过研究发现这两个样品中的斜长石斑晶属于循环晶。辉石闪长玢岩中的斜长石斑晶主要成分为更长石,而斑状石英二长岩中斜长石斑晶主要成分为中长石和拉长石。两者具有明显不同的环带结构,分别记录了不同的岩浆混合过程:前者记录了基性岩浆多次注入酸性岩浆房,并最终获得体积优势;后者记录了少量基性岩浆注入酸性岩浆房内,两者不断混合,形成均质化岩浆的过程。Fe元素从斜长石中心到边部有富集的趋势,表明岩浆最终向富铁的方向演化。角闪石温压计的计算结果表明,辉石闪长玢岩的岩浆房深度在5.5 km左右,温度大约为850 ℃,氧逸度大约为ΔNNO+1,熔体中的含水量大约为4.0%,其最终侵位于2.1 km的地壳深度。而斑状石英二长岩最终定位于2.0 km的地壳深度,角闪石结晶的平均温度为737 ℃,相对氧逸度为ΔNNO+1.2,熔体含水量为3.9%。  相似文献

Compositional and isotopic zoning patterns in plagioclase and amphibole phenocrysts from El Chichón record multiple cycles of country rock assimilation, magma injection, hybridization, and mixing. Laser ablation ICP-MS and electron microprobe analyses of plagioclase crystals from 7 eruptions spanning 3100 years reveal four types of zoning. These compositional and isotopic zones are often associated with textural changes observed in the crystals in thin section (e.g. sieved or patchy regions). Amphiboles are frequently zoned in Al and Si, and, in two magmas, may have clinopyroxene rims. Interestingly, most plagioclase show multiple and repeated zoning patterns. Moreover, all magmas contain all zoning patterns and textures, and crystals with substantially different sequences of zones occur within mm of one another. The most reasonable explanation for the origin of these textures is a frequently recharged chamber. Plagioclase zones with increasing anorthite contents (An) and decreasing 87Sr/86Sr ratios record injection by a hotter, possibly wetter, and more primitive magma (lower 87Sr/86Sr ratio). Zones with decreasing An and increasing 87Sr/86Sr ratios record assimilation of country rock and/or hybridization of the host and injected magmas; injection of hot magma may provide the heat for country rock assimilation. Changes in An without corresponding changes in 87Sr/86Sr ratio likely record slight variations in pressure or temperature during crystallization, or the far-field thermal effects of magma injection. Variations in 87Sr/86Sr ratio unaccompanied by Anzoning record assimilation of country rock. Amphibole zoning patterns also record periodic heating events; amphibole with clinopyroxene rims record episodes where the magma was heated beyond the amphibole stability field. Bulk compositional homogeneity and the juxtaposition of many crystals with disparate zoning patterns in single pumice require the magmatic system to be well mixed. Strontium diffusion rates indicate that the plagioclase zoning patterns cannot have persisted at magmatic pressures and temperatures for more than ~ 500 years, thus cycles of injection and assimilation occur on timescales equal to or shorter than the eruption recurrence interval. Long-term compositional and isotopic homogeneity indicate that there is a balance between recharge, assimilation, and crystallization.  相似文献
