One hundred and three samples of granitic rock taken systematically from the Andean part of Colombia reveal that the observed variation in phosphorus content reflects the variation observed for the wholerock chemical composition. Polonium-210 (210Po) has been analysed in the soft parts of two bivalves species, the scallop Chlamys varia and the common mussel Mytilus edulis, from the Bay of La Rochelle and Ré Island, on the French Atlantic coast. Between those sites, the highest 210Po concentrations have been found in whole scallop soft parts from La Rochelle, reaching 1,181 +/- 29 Bq kg(-1) dry weight (dwt), a size effect being related to the highest 210Po concentration in the smallest scallops. The results show a significant difference in concentrations for similar size individuals between species in each site (C. varia > M. edulis) and between sites for each species (Ré Island > Bay of La Rochelle). Very high 210Po concentrations have been found in the digestive gland of C varia, ranging 3,150-4,637 Bq kg(-1) dwt. Thus, the digestive gland contains up to 60% of the radionuclide. Subcellular investigations have shown that approximately 40% of the 210Po contained in the digestive gland is in the cytosolic fraction, suggesting a high bioavailability of the 210Po from this fraction to the trophic upper level. Calculations will show that approximately 4 kg of scallops flesh intake would be necessary to reach the annual incorporation limit of 1 mSv.  相似文献

The analysis of petroleum inclusions (PI) in parallel to residual oils (=bitumens) provided specific constraints for petroleum migration processes in the Prague Basin. Whereas organic geochemical information from bitumens is limited due to alteration, additional high quality information was obtained from C1–14-range compounds inside crystals. This was obtained by the application of a closed system for the decrepitation and thermal extraction of PI with subsequent gas chromatography (GC) and gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS). The resulting data not only show pristine live oils, gases, residual and precipitated bitumens and a broad variation of mixtures of the groups above, but also show that gas migration and fractionation processes played a major role in the Prague Basin.  相似文献

采用缓慢分解法和“两步法”的附晶生长法,在低温(0℃~70℃)下实验合成纯文石型碳酸 钙矿物,以XRD和SEM技术对合成矿物的相组成和形貌进行了鉴定。将XRD与SEM及氧同位素分 析技术相结合,研究了文石的生成速率与氧同位素分馏之间关系。对0℃、25℃和50℃条件 下采用缓慢分解法合成的文石进行SEM观察发现,随着温度升高,矿物生成速率加快,氧同 位素分馏逐渐趋于不平衡,导致50℃条件下获得的文石-水体系氧同位素分馏是一种不平衡 分馏,而0℃和25℃条件下获得的低值代表平衡分馏。将0℃和25℃以下采用缓慢分解法获得 的文石-水体系分馏低值与采用“两步法”的附晶生长法在50℃和70℃条件下获得的文石- 水体系平衡分馏数据相结合,得到0℃~70℃范围内文石-水体系氧同位素平衡分馏方程为 :103lnα=20.41×103T-41.42。这个实验结果不仅与增量方法理论计算结 果一致,而且与前人低温实验获得的文石或文石与方解石混合相碳酸钙-水体系,以及生物 成因文石-水体系的氧同位素分馏结果相近。这是首次根据实验确定的无机成因文石-水体 系热力学平衡氧同位素分馏系数,因此对于无机成因文石在古沉积环境和古气候研究中的应 用具有重要参考价值。  相似文献

在地统计学和地理信息系统的支持下,以半方差函数为基本工具,分析了太湖流域典型地区土壤耕层全磷含量的空间变异特征,并运用块段克立格法进行线性无偏最优插值,制作了土壤耕层全磷含量的空间分布图。结果表明:研究区域土壤全磷含量具有中等的空间相关性和良好的结构性,其自相关距离在11km左右;土壤磷素含量的空间分布具有明显的斑块状特点,沿江平田区、地势低洼的圩田及低平田区磷素的含量相对较高,应作为农业面源磷污染的重点监控对象。  相似文献

Stable isotope variability and fractionation associated with transformation of precipitation/accumulation to firn to glacial river water is critical in a variety of climatic, hydrological and paleoenvironmental studies. This paper documents the modification of stable isotopes in water from precipitation to glacier runoff in an alpine catchment located in the central Tibetan Plateau. Isotopic changes are observed by sampling firnpack profiles, glacier surface snow/ice, meltwater on the glacier surface and catchment river water at different times during a melt season. Results show the isotopic fractionation effects associated with glacier melt processes. The slope of the δD‐δ18O regression line and the deuterium excess values decreased from the initial precipitation to the melt‐impacted firnpack (slope from 9.3 to 8.5 and average d‐excess from 13.4‰ to 7.4‰). The slope of the δD‐δ18O line further decreased to 7.6 for the glacier runoff water. The glacier surface snow/ice from different locations, which produces the main runoff, had the same δD‐δ18O line slope but lower deuterium excess (by 3.9‰) compared to values observed in the firnpack profile during the melt season. The δD‐δ18O regression line for the river water exhibited a lower slope compared to the surface snow/ice samples, although they were closely located on the δD‐δ18O plot. Isotope values for the river and glacier surface meltwater showed little scatter around the δD‐δ18O regression line, although the samples were from different glaciers and were collected on different days. Results indicate a high consistency of isotopic fractionation in the δD‐δ18O relationships, as well as a general consistency and temporal covariation of meltwater isotope values at the catchment scale. Determining the groundwater contribution of nonpoint source pollution at a watershed scale is a challenging issue. In this study, we utilized a top‐down approach to characterize representative groundwater response units (GRUs) based on land use and landscape position (e.g., upland, sideslope, or floodplain) in the 275‐km2 Clear Creek Watershed, Iowa. Groundwater monitoring wells were then established along downslope transects in representative GRUs. This unique combination of top‐down/bottom‐up approaches allowed us to estimate groundwater pollutant loads at the watershed scale with minimal monitoring. For the 2015 study period, results indicated that more groundwater recharge occurred in the floodplain (404 mm) compared to the uplands or sideslopes (281 and 165 mm, respectively), irrespective of land use. Recharge in the floodplains consisted of 37% of the annual precipitation, whereas upland wells averaged 26% and sideslopes averaged 15% of the annual precipitation. Less recharge was found to occur beneath perennial grass compared to row crop and urbanized areas. Baseflow discharge accounted for 69% of the total NO3‐N exported from the Clear Creek Watershed, with row crop areas contributing approximately 95% of the annual load. Orthophosphorus (OP) yields were approximately 0.72 kg/ha beneath urban and suburban areas, three times higher than those in row crop or perennial areas. Urban and suburban areas accounted for 21.4% of groundwater orthophosphorus and chloride loads in the watershed compared to only 8.5% of the land area. Overall, the groundwater load allocation model for baseflow nutrient discharge to Clear Creek can be used to target future nonpoint source load reduction strategies at the watershed scale. Ground level vapour (GLV) samples were collected at Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India using two methods: liquid condensation (LC) at 0 °C and cryogenic trap (CT) at ?78 °C for the period 2009–2011. The study reveals that there is a considerable fluctuation in stable isotopic composition of GLV throughout the year. The study area receives complex moisture source during different seasons, which is evident from the moisture flux received during different seasons. The isotopic composition of the GLV in both methods shows depleted nature during rainout process. CT method shows exact isotopic signature of GLV because of maximum trapping of air moisture and its condensation, whereas LC method shows depleted or enriched character because of the prevalence of kinetic and diffusive fractionation. The d value shows that LC method acts as magnifier of the CT method and clearly shows seasonal effect than the clustered CT method. Hence, to decipher the original isotopic signature of GLV, isotopic composition of GLVLC can be converted to GLVCT by deriving an empirical relationship with changing season and locations. Meteorological parameters show varied behaviour with GLVCT and LC because of moisture sources in all seasons. The GLVCT and LC method shows significant correlation with meteorological parameters when the region is dominated by single moisture source. The GLVLC method magnifies the correlation with meteorological parameters when the region is influenced by more than one source. The study shows that the GLVLC methods can be used in place of GLVCT when the objective is to understand the influence of different moisture sources on GLV. In order to investigate the impacts of fertilization on population density and productivity on herbaceous plants in desert steppe, nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and N-P addition experiments were performed. Each fertilizer treatment included four addition levels, i.e., 0, 5, 10, and 20 g/m2. The results indicated that population density decreased as fertilization levels increased regardless of the sort of fertilizer. More specifically, total density as well as density ofArtemisia capillaris, Allium polyrhizum, and Enneapogon brachystachyus decreased significantly in 20 g/m2 treated plots, as compared with the control plots. Fertilization effects on aboveground and root biomasses were extremely similar to that found in population density; that is, both total aboveground biomass and aboveground biomasses for A. capillaris, A. polyrhizum, and E. brachystachyus were negatively correlated with increasing fertilization levels, with all determination coefficients (R2) greater than 0.80. Therefore, in the case of desert regions (annual precipitation 〈180 mm), fertilization would inhibit population density and productivity of herbaceous plants.  相似文献
