The interaction of regular waves with arrays of bottom-mounted circular cylinders is considered. This subject has been thoroughly investigated in the recent past, but most of the time under the assumption of regular and spatially periodic arrangements. Unlike these authors, we consider here arrays of unevenly spaced cylinders, displaced randomly from a regular array according to a disorder parameter. Focus is put on two effects of this spacing irregularity: reduction of peak forces associated to trapped mode phenomena, and regularization of the transmission coefficient for waves propagating through the arrays.  相似文献

The performance of surface-penetrating flexible membrane wave barriers of finite draft is studied. The interactions of a single membrane and dual membrane systems are examined with various system parameters. The analytical solutions are derived using eigenfunction expansions assuming linear wave theory and small membrane response. Wave transmission is determined for various combinations of membrane draft, protrusion above the water surface, membrane tension and membrane spacing. The numerical solutions are compared with data obtained from experiments conducted. Comparisons of transmission coefficient and energy loss show good agreement with suitably chosen parameters of viscous losses.  相似文献

土层剪切波速结构是工程场地条件的重要的基本参数,许多研究者关注利用从地脉动台阵中推得的Rayleigh波或Love波的相速度频散曲线反演实际工程场地剪切波速度结构。探讨从地脉动台阵观测的记录中提取Love波相速度的频散曲线的方法,从厦门某工程场地的地脉动台阵观测三分量记录中提取了Love波相速度的频散曲线,将提取的结果与根据实际场地资料构成的水平成层介质模型计算的Love波相速度的频散曲线进行了对比,为下一步的反演奠定了基础。  相似文献

The authors examine the reliability of site response estimations obtained by the horizontal to vertical (H/V) spectral ratios of microtremors by means of cross‐validation with the ratio of the horizontal spectra of earthquake motion with respect to reference sites. The data comprise microtremor and ground motion records recorded at 150 sites of Yokohama strong motion array. The use of non‐supervised pattern recognition techniques aims to group the sites with more objectivity. Attributes defining the overall shape of the amplification spectra serve as input in the computation of Euclidean distance similarity coefficients amongst sites. The implementation of the Ward clustering scheme leads to the attainment of a meaningful tree diagram. Its analysis shows the possibility of summarizing the results into six general patterns. A good coincidence of site effects estimates at 80 per cent of the sites becomes apparent. However, this coincidence appears poor for sites characterized by H/V amplification ratios around 2 or smaller and predominant periods longer than 0.5 s. In such cases, the presence of stiff, sandy sediments in the soil profile proves common. To proscribe H/V estimations, relying solely on the small spectral ratios criterion seems inadequate. Uniformly Redundant Arrays (URA's) are two–dimensional binary arrays with constant sidelobes of their periodic autocorrelation function. They are widely agreed upon to be optimum mask patterns for coded aperture imaging, particularly in imaging systems with a cyclic coded mask. In this paper, a survey of all currently known construction methods for URA's is given and the sizes and open fractions of the arrays resulting from each construction method are pointed out. Alternatives to URA's for situations in which a URA does not exist, are discussed.  相似文献

A new array type, i.e., the γ11n arrays, is introduced in this paper, in which the sequence of the current (C) and potential (P) electrodes is CPCP, and the distance between the last two electrodes is n times the distance between the first two ones and that of the second one and the third one. These arrays are called quasinull arrays because they are—according to their array and behaviour—between the traditional and null arrays. It is shown by numerical modelling that, in detecting small‐effect inhomogeneity, these configurations may be more effective than the traditional ones, including the optimized Stummer configuration. Certain γ11n configurations—especially the γ112, γ113, and γ114—produced better results both in horizontal and vertical resolution investigations. Based on the numerical studies, the γ11n configurations seem to be very promising in problems where the anomalies are similar to the numerically investigated ones, i.e., they can detect and characterize, e.g., tunnels, caves, cables, tubes, abandoned riverbeds, or discontinuity, in a clay layer with greater efficacy than those of the traditional configurations. γ11n measurements need less data than traditional configurations; therefore, the time demand of electrical resistivity tomography measurements can be shortened by their use.  相似文献

Local site conditions can significantly influence the characteristics of seismic ground motions. In this study, site response analyses using one-dimensional linear elastic (LE), equivalent-linear (EQL) and nonlinear (NL) approaches are performed at different seismic hazard levels of Singapore. Two seismic stations, namely, the KAP and BES stations located at soft soil sites, are selected from the national network of Singapore. Firstly, site response estimates using the LE, EQL (SHAKE04) and NL (DEEPSOIL) approaches are compared with the borehole recordings. Results show favorable matches between the predictions and the observations at the KAP site, while under-predictions are observed for all the three site effect approaches at the BES site. Secondly, the applicability of the LE, EQL and NL models is examined at different hazard levels of Singapore. It is found that for the hazard level at a return period of 475 years, the computed maximum strain (γmax) is 0.06% and then the EQL model can provide accurate site response predictions. However, for the hazard level at a return period of 2475 years, the calculated γmax is larger than 2%, resulting in notable differences in the predictions of different site response models. This study highlights the importance of site effects in seismic hazard analysis of Singapore.  相似文献
