以平面框架结构为例阐述了结构平稳随机地震反应时域分析方法的应用。首先利用静力凝聚方法大幅度地缩减结构的自由度数目,形成一维链状模型,使得结构运动方程中只包含各层反应从而大大降低计算工作量。其次推导了结点随机反应和层间随机反应的计算公式,可以方便地获得结构在理想白噪声、金井清谱和改进金井清谱三种随机地震地面运动激励下的协方差位移反应函数和协方差速度反应函数。最后通过一个单跨双层的平面框架结构实例,阐述了这种方法的使用过程。 相似文献

As the Mississippi River plays a major role in fulfilling various water demands in North America, accurate prediction of river flow and sediment transport in the basin is crucial for undertaking both short‐term emergency measures and long‐term management efforts. To this effect, the present study investigates the predictability of river flow and suspended sediment transport in the basin. As most of the existing approaches that link water discharge, suspended sediment concentration and suspended sediment load possess certain limitations (absence of consensus on linkages), this study employs an approach that presents predictions of a variable based on history of the variable alone. The approach, based on non‐linear determinism, involves: (1) reconstruction of single‐dimensional series in multi‐dimensional phase‐space for representing the underlying dynamics; and (2) use of the local approximation technique for prediction. For implementation, river flow and suspended sediment transport variables observed at the St. Louis (Missouri) station are studied. Specifically, daily water discharge, suspended sediment concentration and suspended sediment load data are analysed for their predictability and range, by making predictions from one day to ten days ahead. The results lead to the following conclusions: (1) extremely good one‐day ahead predictions are possible for all the series; (2) prediction accuracy decreases with increasing lead time for all the series, but the decrease is much more significant for suspended sediment concentration and suspended sediment load; and (3) the number of mechanisms dominantly governing the dynamics is three for each of the series. The influence of the structural pounding on the ductility requirements and the seismic behaviour of reinforced concrete structures designed to EC2 and EC8 with non‐equal heights is investigated. Special purpose elements of distributed plasticity are employed for the study of the columns. Two distinct types of the problem are identified: Type A, where collisions may occur only between storey masses; and Type B, where the slabs of the first structure hit the columns of the other (72 Type A and 36 Type B pounding cases are examined). Type A cases yielded critical ductility requirements for the columns in the pounding area mainly for the cases where the structures were in contact from the beginning of the excitation. In both pounding types the ductility requirements of the columns of the taller building are substantially increased for the floors above the highest contact storey level probably due to a whiplash behaviour. The most important issue in the pounding type B is the local response of the column of the tall structure that suffers the hit of the upper floor slab of the adjacent shorter structure. In all the examined cases this column was in a critical condition due to shear action and in the cases where the structures were in contact from the beginning of the excitation, this column was also critical due to high ductility demands. It can be summarized that in situations of potential pounding, neglecting its possible effects leads to non‐conservative building design or evaluation that may become critical in some cases. The inelastic (design) spectra characterizing a seismic hazard are generally obtained by the scaling‐down of the elastic (design) spectra via a set of response modification factors. The component of these factors, which accounts for the ductility demand ratio, is known as the strength reduction factor (SRF), and the variation of this factor with initial period of the oscillator is called an SRF spectrum. This study considers scaling of the SRF spectrum in the case of an elasto‐plastic oscillator with strength and stiffness degradation characteristics. Two models are considered: one depending directly on the characterization of source and site parameters and the other depending on the normalized design spectrum characterization of the seismic hazard. The first model is the same as that proposed earlier by the second author, and is given in terms of earthquake magnitude, strong‐motion duration, predominant period, geological site conditions, ductility demand ratio, and ductility supply‐related parameter. The second model is a new model proposed here in terms of the normalized pseudo‐spectral acceleration values (to unit peak ground acceleration), ductility demand ratio and ductility supply‐related parameter. For each of these models, least‐square estimates of the coefficients are obtained through regression analyses of the data for 956 recorded accelerograms in western U.S.A. Parametric studies carried out with the help of these models confirm the dependence of SRFs on strong‐motion duration and earthquake magnitude besides predominant period and site conditions. It is also seen that degradation characteristics make a slight difference for high ductility demands and may lead to lower values of SRFs, unless the oscillators are very flexible. This paper reports on the results of a study conducted on tanks partially filled with water, representing tuned liquid dampers (TLD), subjected to both 1D and 2D horizontal excitations. The sloshing response of the water in the tank is characterized by the free surface motion, the resulting base shear force, and evaluation of the energy dissipated by the sloshing water. A 1D non‐linear flow model capable of simulating a TLD equipped with damping screens is employed to model a 2D TLD. Application of this particular model requires the assumption that the response is decoupled and can be treated as the summation of two independent 1D TLDs. Results from the non‐linear flow model are compared with the 2D experimental shake table test results leading to a validation of the decoupled response assumption. This attractive decoupled response property allows square and rectangular tanks to be used as 2D TLDs, which can simultaneously reduce the dynamic response of a structure in two perpendicular modes of vibration. Some recent developments in the stochastic modelling of single site and spatial rainfall are summarised. Alternative single
site models based on Poisson cluster processes are introduced, fitting methods are discussed, and performance is compared
for representative UK hourly data. The representation of sub-hourly rainfall is discussed, and results from a temporal disaggregation
scheme are presented. Extension of the Poisson process methods to spatial-temporal rainfall, using radar data, is reported.
Current methods assume spatial and temporal stationarity; work in progress seeks to relax these restrictions. Unlike radar
data, long sequences of daily raingauge data are commonly available, and the use of generalized linear models (GLMs) (which
can represent both temporal and spatial non-stationarity) to represent the spatial structure of daily rainfall based on raingauge
data is illustrated for a network in the North of England. For flood simulation, disaggregation of daily rainfall is required.
A relatively simple methodology is described, in which a single site Poisson process model provides hourly sequences, conditioned
on the observed or GLM-simulated daily data. As a first step, complete spatial dependence is assumed. Results from the River
Lee catchment, near London, are promising. A relatively comprehensive set of methodologies is thus provided for hydrological

This paper presents statistical aspects related to the calibration process and a comparison of different regression approaches of relevance to almost all analytical techniques. The models for ordinary least-squares (OLS), weighted least-squares (WLS), and maximum likelihood fitting (MLF) were evaluated and, as a case study, X-ray fluorescence (XRF) calibration curves for major elements in geochemical reference materials were used. The results showed that WLS and MLF models were statistically more consistent in comparison with the usually applied OLS approach. The use of uncertainty on independent and dependent variables during the calibration process and the calculation of final uncertainty on individual results using error propagation equations are the novel aspects of our work. 相似文献
