In low-pressure environments, precipitation of graphite is hindered at low to moderate temperatures by the high solubility of carbon in C-O-H fluids and by kinetic barriers to nucleation. Those low-temperature fluids that do attain saturation tend to precipitate graphite continuously during flow and cooling, thereby producing widely dispersed films of low-crystallinity graphite. In contrast, at high temperatures, particularly when combined with high pressures, the precipitation of graphite is enhanced by decreased solubility of carbon in C-O-H fluids and by improved nucleation under those conditions. The longevity of fluid systems in high-temperature, high-pressure terranes permits efficient, long-term scavenging of dispersed carbon from the crust. The latter may be redistributed in a much more concentrated form as fluids rise, cool and decompress, and as the carbon is finally precipitated as highly crystalline graphite in fracture systems. The combined effects of the thermochemical controls on carbon solubility and the geological controls on fluid generation, movement and P – T  pathways are the reason that large, epigenetic graphite deposits form dominantly at high temperatures and pressures. Those high-temperature, high-pressure conditions, in turn, account for the uniformly high crystallinity of the fluid-deposited graphite.  相似文献

Palaeoproterozoic black shales form an essential part of the Birimian volcanosedimentary belt in Burkina Faso, West Africa. The mean Rmax values and the atomic H/C values of the bulk carbonaceous matter (BCM), together with rock structures and mineral assemblages, indicate that these carbon‐rich rocks were metamorphosed to sub‐greenschist and low‐grade greenschist facies. X‐ray diffraction reveals that the (002) ‘graphite’ peak width in half maximum (FWHM) ranges from 0.43 to 0.71 °2θ in sub‐greenschist facies and from 0.27 to 0.41 °2θ in greenschist facies rocks, but the d(002) values in both groups of rocks are approximately the same (~3.35 Å). The BCM of individual samples is composed of particles with very variable shape, reflectance and Raman spectra. Type I particles that predominate in sub‐greenschist facies are fine‐grained, irregular or elongate bodies 1 to 3 μm in size. Their maximum reflectance (Rmax) ranges between 2.5% and 8.2%, and Raman parameters R1 and R2 range from 0.5 to 1.4 and 0.5 to 0.8, respectively. Type II particles are lath‐shaped, up to 40 μm large bodies, commonly arranged parallel to white mica flakes. The number of these particles increases from sub‐greenschist to greenschist facies. Maximum reflectance varies between 6% and 11.2% and R1 and R2 Raman parameters range from 0.05 to 0.7 and from 0.1 to 0.5, respectively. Type III particles occur in hydrothermally altered and sheared rocks; these are nodular aggregates composed of grains up to 10 μm in size. This type of particles has very high reflectance (Rmax = 11–15%) and its Raman spectra indicate a very high degree of structural ordering corresponding to well‐ordered graphite. Type I particles represent original organic matter in the metasediments. Type II particles are believed to have been formed either in situ by solid‐state transformation of Type I particles or by crystallization from metamorphic fluids. Gradual graphitization of the Type I organic particles and the growth of lath‐shaped Type II particles from a fluid phase is assumed to have taken place under the peak metamorphic conditions associated with the burial of Birimian sediments during thrust tectonism, progressive tectonic accretion and crustal thickening during the D1 event of the Eburnean orogeny. The growth of equant, high‐reflectance postkinematic nodular aggregates of Type III particles is ascribed to the reduction of CO2‐rich fluids during a hydrothermal event associated with Late Eburnean D2 exhumation and strike–slip movements. Type I carbonaceous particles were only slightly affected by high‐temperature, low‐pressure contact metamorphism during intrusion of Late Eburnean magmatic bodies, whereas formation of Type II or III particles was not recorded in contact‐metamorphosed rocks at all.  相似文献

The Fenes Nappe belongs to the stack of tectonic units cropping out in the southern Apuseni Mts (Romania). It is characterised by a structural history consisting of two folding phases that developed during the time spanning from Early Aptian to Late Maastrichtian. The D1 phase produced west-northwest-verging, isoclinal to very tight folds, associated to a slaty cleavage. The main metamorphic imprint of the Fenes Nappe is linked to this deformation phase; illite and chlorite ‘crystallinity’ values indicate metamorphic conditions of the late diagenesis, close to the diagenetic zone/anchizone boundary. The subsequent D2 phase produced north-northwest-verging, parallel folds, not associated with synkinematic recrystallisation. These phases are interpreted as developed during a structural path, which includes burial at a depth of 8–10 km, followed by exhumation at shallower structural levels. To cite this article: A. 不规则伊/蒙混层粘土矿物在沉积地层中广泛存在,通过对17例伊/蒙混层粘土矿物样品进行系统研究得出:(1)沉积地层中的部分有序型伊/蒙混层矿物的晶层连接概率介于完全随机混层与机械混和物的连接概率之间;(2)伊/蒙混层中的蒙皂石晶层向伊利石的转化分两步完成:两层水蒙皂石单层水蒙皂石伊利石;(3)随着成岩作用的进行(埋藏深度增加),I/S中的I晶层含量增加,在此同时,I/S晶体结构中四面体片的类质同相代换增加,四面体电荷及总层电荷亦增加,匹配该增加部分电荷的是层间域K的含量明显增加;(4)在沉积地层中的I/S混层矿物中,I晶层具有白云母的成分特点,层电荷为0.75左右;S晶层则具有纳蒙脱石的成分特点,层电荷为0.30左右  相似文献

Illite, a distinctive kind of clay minerals of potassium alteration within the hydrothermal alteration zone, frequently occurs at the Tongchang porphyry copper deposit ore field. The illite crystallinity (IC) value and expandability are mainly affected by water/rock ratio or fluid flux. It was formed by illitization of plagioclase and micas during hydrothermal fluid-rock interaction within the porphyry body and near the contact zone with wall rocks. Moreover, the negative correlation between illite index (IC) and copper grade indicates that within the alteration zone, the smaller the illite crystallinity value, the higher the alteration degree, and the higher the copper grade due to higher water/rock ratio. At lower levels of the porphyry body, however, the illite crystallinity (IC) values are mainly controlled by temperature and time duration.  相似文献

镇江大港砖瓦厂下蜀黄土剖面30个样品的X衍射分析和半定量结果表明,该剖面黏土矿物组合为伊利石-蛭石-高岭石型,其中以伊利石(52.8%~70%)和蛭石(20.6%~38.5%)为主;古土壤层的伊利石相对含量高于黄土层,蛭石的变化与之相反,二者互为消长.高岭石含量为6.0%~11.1%,在古土壤中的含量略高于黄土层.从剖面底部(S4)至顶部(S1), 伊利石相对含量略呈增加趋势,蛭石和高岭石则略呈减少趋势.镇江下蜀黄土中的黏土矿物组合类型与北方黄土明显不同,伊利石的结晶度总体上也较北方黄土差,反映下蜀黄土堆积区相对温暖、湿润,风化淋滤作用相对较强.从黏土矿物组合和含量来看,下蜀黄土经历了中等强度的风化作用.  相似文献

The microstructure charateristics of illite from the Chuanlinggou Formation of Changcheng System (Chch) in Jixian County, Tianjin City has been studied by means of high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), selected-area electron diffraction (SAED), X-ray energy dispersive spectrum (EDS) and X-ray powder diffraction (XRD). The Kübler index of "illite crystallinity" is 0.505°△2θ, which indicates that the host rock is in a middle diagenetic stage. The chemical analyses of EDS for illite studied indicate a heavily absent in interlayer cation and an average chemical formula of K0.57(Al1.80Mg0.42Fe2 0.12)Σ=2.34 (Si2.92Al1.08)Σ=4O10(OH)2. It is found, from one-dimensional lattice images, that the layers of illite not only stack in a flat way but also in a curving way. A "matting fabric" illite structure results from stacking faults. Combined with SAED analysis the illite studied can be affirmed as 1M illite. The two-dimensional lattice images are obtained from [100] and [110] incidences, whose lattice images have the same d-values but different intersecting angles. The two-dimensional lattice image with [100] incidence is orthogonal to each other, whilst that with [110] incidence is oblique. This paper provides some important structure information of authigenic clay minerals for the well-known mesoproterozoic section of Jixian County.  相似文献

金山金矿位于我国著名的德兴铜金矿集区内,是一个与韧性剪切带有关的金矿床。成矿流体作用过程的水-岩反应产物伊利石K-Ar年龄的测试结果表明,金山金矿地区存在着明显的晚古生代构造热事件,金山金矿的成矿作用与这次热事件活动有关,成矿年龄为269.9-317.9Ma;燕山期岩浆活动对金山金矿的影响不太明显。结合前人的研究成果,认为赣东北地区甚至整个华南地区在海西期不仅有明显的岩浆活动,而且海西期也是一次重要的金矿成矿期。  相似文献

Detailed b lattice parameter and illite crystallinity (IC) studies of K-white micas in slates from the Stawell and Ballarat-Bendigo Zones (SZ, BBZ) in the western Lachlan Fold Belt of Victoria, Australia, reveal a metamorphic pattern characterized by regional metamorphism associated with crustal thickening and younger contact metamorphism accompanied by deformation. The IC data indicate that rocks regionally metamorphosed prior to the intrusion of the Early and Late Devonian granitoids, vary in grade from epizonal (greenschist facies) to diagenetic (zeolite facies) and that most are of epizonal to anchizonal (prehnite–pumpellyite facies) grade. In the BBZ, a decrease in grade from west to east occurs. Across fault zones, IC values show little change, indicating that limited vertical displacement has occurred. This is in accord with the thin skinned deformation model proposed for the western Lachlan Fold Belt. The b lattice parameters (x=9.022 Å; n=137; σn=0.009) indicate baric conditions intermediate between those of New Hampshire (P=Al2SiO5 triple point) and Otago (intermediate P ). Thus, a moderately low geothermal gradient existed 450–430 Ma ago, when these rocks were deformed. KD Fe/Mg (actinolite)/Fe/Mg (chlorite) values (0.52–0.70) obtained from coexisting actinolite and chlorite in metabasites from fault zones support the moderately high-P (c. 4 kbar) metamorphism suggested by the b cell parameter values. The metamorphic conditions indicated by these data are contrary to the low-P/high-T conditions proposed by previous authors, who inferred an intimate association between deformation, granitoid intrusion and gold mineralization. The b lattice parameter of white micas in slates adjacent to Early Devonian (c. 400 Ma) granitoids with schist bearing aureoles in the north-eastern part of the BBZ (x=9.002 Å; n=27; σn=0.007), indicate pressures in the order of c. 2.5 kbar which are in accord with those obtained from andalusite–cordierite and zoisite–garnet bearing assemblages observed in the higher grade metapelitic and calcareous rocks. This contrasts with the higher pressure (c. 4 kbar) existing during regional metamorphism and implies that c. 6.5–8 km of metasedimentary rocks in the BBZ were removed before the emplacement of the Early Devonian granitoids. Metamorphic assemblages in hornfelses associated with Late Devonian granitoids indicate a further 5–6 km of metasediment were removed in the next 40 Ma prior to their emplacement. This study shows the value of white mica studies in elucidating the tectonothermal history of a low-grade metamorphic terrane dominated by metapelitic rocks.  相似文献

以皂石、高岭石、绿泥石和伊利石为原材料,分别与赖氨酸进行反应,研究赖氨酸在上述粘土矿物上的吸附行为, 并运用粉末X-射线衍射技术(XRD)、傅里叶变换红外吸收光谱术(FTIR)和热重(TG)等分析方法,表征反应前后粘土 矿物的变化。实验结果表明,不同粘土矿物对赖氨酸的吸附等温线均符合Freundlich等温方程,且不同粘土矿物对赖氨酸的 饱和吸附量大小顺序为:皂石>蒙脱石>绿泥石>高岭石>伊利石;XRD结果表明皂石对赖氨酸的吸附发生在矿物层间,而绿 泥石、高岭石和伊利石对赖氨酸的吸附主要在矿物表面进行;FTIR和TG结果表明赖氨酸主要取代粘土矿物层间吸附水,以 氢键的形式与Si-O-Si(IVAl)键合。实验结果将有助于进一步探明环境中粘土矿物对有机质的吸附机理。  相似文献
