硫化物风化产酸可加速岩溶作用但抑制大气二氧化碳参与流域碳循环,其复杂的地球化学机制和过程待阐明。本文以黄河二级支流三川河流域为例,通过采集20个三川河及其支流地表水点样和30个柳林泉地下水点样,经实验测试获得了流域比较系统的水化学资料和δ13C、δ34 S数据,运用碳、硫同位素分析与水化学平衡计量方法,量化了流域硫化物风化产酸对岩石风化作用的贡献以及对碳循环的影响。计算结果表明:煤系地层硫化物和矿床硫化物的氧化及大气酸沉降所形成的硫酸明显促进了流域碳酸盐岩的溶蚀,对碳酸盐岩溶蚀的贡献约占64.59%;柳林泉水石膏溶解来源的SO42-占69%,河水中石膏溶解来源的SO42-占30%,但这些部分SO42-没有参与溶蚀作用,应当扣除;三川河流域平均岩石风化速率为10.02 mm/ka,其中碳酸盐岩、硅酸盐岩的风化速率分别为9.14 mm/ka和0.88 mm/ka,低于国内外很多流域;由于硫酸抵消了碳酸盐岩石风化作用对大气二氧化碳的吸收,流域岩石风化消耗大气/土壤CO2通量为116.58 mmol/(km2 ·a),不足珠江流域的1/5,且硅酸盐岩风化的贡献占63.3%。

The way in which rocks and engineering materials heat‐up and dry‐out in the intertidal zone is of relevance to both weathering and ecology. These behaviours can be measured in the laboratory under controlled conditions designed to replicate those occurring in the field. Previous studies have demonstrated differences in thermal behaviours between rock types and through time as a result of soiling in terrestrial environments, but the influence of weathering and colonization on rock behaviours in the intertidal zone has not been previously assessed. We measured the warming and drying of blocks of rock (limestone and granite) and marine concrete during ‘low‐tide’ events simulated in the laboratory, before and after a period of exposure (eight months) on rock platforms in Cornwall, UK. As well as differences between the material types, temperatures of control (unexposed) and field‐exposed blocks differed in the order of 1 to 2 °C. Drying behaviours were also different after field exposure. Differences during the first few hours of exposure to air and heat were attributed to discolouration and albedo effects. Over longer periods of time, changes in the availability of near‐surface pore water as a result of micro‐scale bioerosion of limestone and the development of bio‐chemical crusts on marine concrete [observed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM)] are suggested as mechanisms enhancing and reducing, respectively, the efficiency of evaporative cooling. The retention of moisture by epilithic biofilms may also influence thermal and drying behaviours of granite. These observations represent one of the first examples of cross‐scalar biogeomorphic linkages in the intertidal zone. The significance of the results for the subsequent efficiency of weathering, and near‐surface micro‐climatic conditions experienced by colonizing organisms is discussed. The involvement of microorganisms in the creation of more (or less) ecologically stressful conditions through the alteration of substratum geomorphic properties and behaviours is suggested as an example of ‘biogeomorphic ecosystem engineering’. 湖泊沉积物元素地球化学特征及其比值,有效地揭示了湖泊沉积物物源区的化学风化程度.已成为反映古气候波动的有效指标。根据可可西里苟仁错湖泊沉积物的元素地球化学特征,通过CIA,ICV等元素比值的结果,揭示该地区1400AD以来化学风化作用十分微弱,因此湖泊沉积物元素组成,对气候变化非常敏感。研究表明1400AD以来该地区气候经历多次冷暖波动,且呈干旱化的趋势,1420AD左右进入小冰期,其中1480~1520AD最为寒冷,1900AD后干旱化加剧。  相似文献

Three dated structures up to 450 years in age display the effects of coastal weathering of the greenschist of which they are constructed. A variety of weathering forms is present. The various topographic surfaces of the structures create variation in weathering environments and consequent weathering processes and rates. Weathering is enhanced by direct exposure to salt-bearing spray and by humid conditions, and apparently limited by direct exposure to solar radiation. The maximum rates of weathering on the three surfaces approximate to 0·6 mm a−1 over this period, consistent with measured contemporary weathering rates for a natural surface formed by this rock type in a nearby coastal location. © 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

通过对青藏高原东北部黄河源开展广泛细致的野外考察,选择位于玛曲段黄河左岸第二级河流阶地(T2)之上,赋存典型风成黄土-古土壤序列的达尔琼东(DEQ-E)剖面进行系统采样。在室内对采集样品进行了磁化率、烧失量、吸湿水、粒度、土壤微形态、地球化学元素和光释光(OSL)测年等综合分析,结论表明:(1)黄河源玛曲段DEQ-E剖面地层序列由上至下依次为现代草甸土层(MS)-全新世中期古土壤层(S0)-全新世早期过渡性黄土层(Lt)-阶地漫滩相沉积层(T2-al);(2)黄河源玛曲段DEQ-E剖面风成黄土-古土壤序列风化成壤强度呈现出全新世中期古土壤层(S0)>全新世早期过渡性黄土层(Lt)>现代草甸土层(MS)的变化特征;(3)黄河源全新世的古气候演变可分为3个阶段:全新世早期(11000 a BP—9000 a BP),西风势力减弱,东亚夏季风逐步增强,气温趋于变暖,降水有所增加;全新世中期(9000 a BP—3100 a BP),东亚夏季风作用强盛,气候整体温暖湿润;全新世晚期(3100 a BP以来),东亚夏季风衰退,西风势力有所增强,导致气候转向干冷。该研究成果有助于理解青...  相似文献

对玛曲高原具有代表性的黄土-古土壤-风成砂剖面(OL剖面)常量元素氧化物含量及其比值的地球化学特征分析表明:(1)常量元素氧化物总含量为91.93%且SiO2(67.93%) >Al2O3(11.2%) >Fe2O3(3.97%) >CaO(3.76%)>K2O(2.16%) >Na2O(1.81%) >MgO(1.1%);(2)玛曲高原处于较弱的脱Ca、Na初级风化阶段,并伴有碳酸盐的淋失;(3)玛曲高原的气候经历了冷干-凉润-温湿-凉干的冷暖旋回。依据常量元素氧化物含量及其比值揭示的环境特征并结合14C测年将玛曲高原中晚全新世以来的环境演变划分为4.6 ka BP以前的风沙活动强烈期、4.6~4.3 ka BP的风沙活动较弱期、4.3~0.3 ka BP的固结成壤期和0.3 ka BP至今的风沙活动增强期4个阶段。  相似文献

The chemical weathering intensity and element migration features of the Xiashu loess profile in Zhenjiang are studied in this paper. (1) The Xiashu loess profile underwent moderate chemical weathering. It seems that the precipitation is a more important factor than the temperature in controlling the process of the chemical weathering. (2) The major elements such as Si, K, Na, Ca, Mg, Mn and P were migrated and leached, while the elements Fe and Ti were slightly enriched. The migration features of the major elements reveal that the Xiashu loess finished the primary process of chemical weathering characterized by leaching of Ca and Na, and almost reached the secondary process characterized by leaching of K. Except the elements Sr and Ga, other trace elements such as Th, Ba, Cu, Zn, Co, Ni, Cr and V were enriched. It might be caused by both the biogeochemical process and the adsorption of trace elements by clay mineral and organic materials. (3) The difference of element migration down the Xiashu loess profile reveals that the climate was warm and wet at the early-middle stage of the middle Pleistocene. At the end of the middle Pleistocene, it became dry and cool. At the early stage of the Late Pleistocene, the paleoclimate became warm and wet again. As a whole, the paleoclimate generally became drier and cooler in this region from the beginning of the middle Pleistocene.  相似文献

Lateritic weathering profiles (LWPs) are widespread in the tropics and comprise an important component of the Critical Zone (CZ). The Hawaiian Islands make an excellent natural laboratory for examining the tropical CZ, where the bedrock composition (basalt) is nearly uniform and rainfall varies greatly. This natural laboratory is employed to assess the utility of the HVSR (horizontal/vertical spectral ratio) method to characterize the shear-wave velocity (Vs) structure of LWPs, particularly the depth to the contact between saprolite and basalt bedrock. LWP thicknesses determined from HVSR provide good agreement with multi-channel analysis of surface waves (MASW) profiles, well logs and outcrop. LWP thicknesses may be estimated from the fundamental mode equation or through forward models. Prior knowledge about the subsurface from well, outcrop, and MASW profiles may greatly aid modeling in some cases. For the 3.2 to 1.8 Ma Koolau Volcano on Oahu, the downward rate of advance of the weathering front varies from 0.004 to 0.041 m/ka. For the 0.44 to 0.10 Ma Kohala Volcano (Big Island of Hawaii) rates vary from 0.013 to 0.047 m/ka. Simple H/V spectra develop in areas where the combined effects of time and elevated rainfall produce thick LWPs with a flat base and a general absence of core stones with an ideal layered geometry. Abundant buried core stones violate the assumption of simple layered geometries and scatter acoustic energy, leading to uninterpretable results. This is common where low rainfall and a young basaltic substrate leave abundant core stones as well as an undulating contact between saprolite and bedrock. Velocity inversions (high Vs intervals within low Vs saprolite) may also be present and originate from relatively intact bedrock horizons or mineralogical changes within saprolite. At Kohala, a gibbsite-rich horizon produces such a velocity inversion due to enhanced weathering and subsequent collapse of saprolite in a discrete horizon. © 2019 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Papago Park, Arizona, is a pediment-inselberg complex that hosts a variety of well developed tafoni and alveolar weathering forms. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the nature of chemical weathering associated with the tafoni using backscatter electron microscopy (BSE) and quantitative wavelength dispersive X-ray analysis (WDS). Calcium-rich and iron-rich coatings occur on the outer shells of the tafoni. Calcium carbonate precipitation within mineral microfractures occurs on the underside of the tafoni. Chemical weathering of primary mineral grains provides a source of material found in the coatings. The WDS analyses show a near-complete lack of salt-forming elements.
