A revised approach to the UKIH method for the calculation of baseflow / Une approche améliorée de la méthode de l'UKIH pour le calcul de l'écoulement de base

Abstract

A revised approach to the calculation of baseflow using the method originally proposed by the United Kingdom Institute of Hydrology is presented. The revisions resolve two aspects of the method that lead to less than optimal results; that is, the calculation of values of baseflow that exceed the corresponding values of streamflow and the dependence of the calculated values on the origin of the five-day segmentation of the input streamflow data. The approach is illustrated using streamflow monitoring information that is typical for areas of southern Ontario, Canada, where baseflow is primarily the result of groundwater discharge.     

Response of seismically isolated structures to rocking‐type excitations

In this paper, the origin of rocking‐type excitations and their effects on the response of base isolated structures are studied. In particular, the role of kinematic interaction in the determination of the rocking excitation is highlighted. The cases of surface foundations subjected to horizontally propagating waves, as well as of embedded foundations under vertically incident shear waves are examined. The validity of the kinematic interaction based on the rigid base mat assumption is discussed. It is shown that, in the case of classical horizontal isolation, rocking input may amplify significantly the response of the lower non‐isolated modes. The examination of full three‐dimensional isolation and active and semi‐active control methods demonstrates the efficacy of these methods to improve the performance of seismically isolated structures subjected to rocking excitations. 熔体结构与酸性熔岩的某些特征

在流纹质岩浆中,存在两种不混溶的熔体,一种熔体富SiO_2贫FeO,另一种则相反。从熔体结构的角度看,前一种熔体富桥氧,后者则富自由氧。水的解聚作用可以改变流纹质岩浆的结构,即降低它的聚合程度,因此,含水流纹岩浆的粘度低于玄武岩浆的粘度,从而使流纹岩中流纹构造发育。 实际工作中应避免混淆流纹岩与酸性熔结凝灰岩。     

锡石的晶体结构和形态的关系

本文对不同成因类型的锡石晶体形态进行了研究,并从PBC(周期性键链)理论出发,讨论了锡石晶体形态与晶体结构的关系。笔者认为,锡石晶体具有三种F面,即s{111}、e{101}、m{110},与Hartman对同样结构类型的金红石晶面性质划分有所差异。据锡石晶面结构性质所推导的理想晶体形态图,与晶体测量所得到的天然晶体形态图总体上相吻合。     

有关矿石构造、结构研究的几个问题

本文论述了加强矿石研究的重要性.并对块状构造、浸染状构造、海绵陨铁构造、乳滴状构造、层纹状构造的分类命名及代晶结构的鉴定特征提出了自己的看法.     

航空摄影最佳曝光量的选择

分解力是评定影象质量的重要指标。本文介绍利用改进后的国产9 w测微密度仪,测定航空软片静态分解力与曝光量的关系。以最大分解力所相应的曝光量作为确定航摄软片感光度的基准,以此为基础,确定航摄底片的最大密度(D_(max))、最小密度(D_(min))、影象反差(△D)和平均密度(D_R)本文对国产1022T、1022P、柯达2402、2412等航摄软片进行了研究,其试验结果可作为今后修改航摄规范的基础。     

地图数据库中的结构化河网及其自动建立

本文提出了一种基于河段的结构化河网,讨论了这种结构化河网的自动建立过程,主要包括两个结构索引即线索树结构索引及层次结构索引的自动产生;根据包含以上两个索引的结构化河网,提供了若干检索函数,作为地图数据库中结构处理时结构信息的提取手段。     

唐山震区深反射剖面分析

为了进一步研究唐山地区深部地壳构造与唐山大地震孕育及发生的关系,国家地震局地球物理研究所在石油部物探局的协助下,于1985年1月在唐山震区完成了64km长的深反射剖面野外观测,获得了高分辨率的整个地壳结构的详细资料。分析结果表明,唐山震区内深度500m以上的沉积层十分破碎;结晶基底为前震旦纪地层,埋深2-7km不等,覆盖地层倾斜,且断层发育,其中陡河断裂为正断层,延深至6-7km,推断该断层为1976年唐山发震的重要构造之一。测线上大约21km深处普遍存在一反射层;莫霍面深度在31-32km左右,与该地区折射剖面得到的结果相当一致。
