Fragility curves express the probability of structural damage due to earthquakes as a function of ground motion indices, e.g., PGA, PGV. Based on the actual damage data of highway bridges from the 1995 Hyogoken‐Nanbu (Kobe) earthquake, a set of empirical fragility curves was constructed. However, the type of structure, structural performance (static and dynamic) and variation of input ground motion were not considered to construct the empirical fragility curves. In this study, an analytical approach was adopted to construct fragility curves for highway bridge piers of specific bridges. A typical bridge structure was considered and its piers were designed according to the seismic design codes in Japan. Using the strong motion records from Japan and the United States, non‐linear dynamic response analyses were performed, and the damage indices for the bridge piers were obtained. Using the damage indices and ground motion indices, fragility curves for the bridge piers were constructed assuming a lognormal distribution. The analytical fragility curves were compared with the empirical ones. The proposed approach may be used in constructing the fragility curves for highway bridge structures. 如何正确计算沉井的下沉阻力一直是沉井结构设计的难点,为了更加深入地研究沉井下沉阻力及其分布规律,通过离心机模型试验分别对4组不同埋深工况下的沉井进行了下沉模拟,对沉井侧壁土压力、刃脚斜面土压力、刃脚踏面土压力、沉井内外土面沉降进行了分析。研究结果表明:侧壁土压力随入土深度的增加呈先增大后减小的趋势,可采用分段函数形式对其大小及分布形式进行简化计算;刃脚斜面土压力呈三次多项式分布形式;随着刃脚入土深度的增加,刃脚斜面与踏面土阻力均显著增大,而单位投影宽度刃脚斜面与踏面土阻力比基本保持不变;沉井下沉会导致井外土面沉降,井内紧靠沉井内壁的土面沉降,离沉井内壁有一定距离的土面隆起。上述试验与分析成果可为理论研究与工程设计提供参考。 相似文献

While seismic codes do not allow plastic deformation of piles, the Kobe earthquake has shown that limited structural yielding
and cracking of piles may not be always detrimental. As a first attempt to investigate the consequences of pile yielding in
the response of a pile-column supported bridge structure, this paper explores the soil–pile-bridge pier interaction to seismic
loading, with emphasis on structural nonlinearity. The pile–soil interaction is modeled through distributed nonlinear Winkler-type

A new damage-locating method for bridges subjected to a moving load is presented, and a new ‘moving load damage-locating indicator' (MLDI) is introduced. A vehicle is modeled as a moving load, the bridge is simplified as an Euler-Bernoulli beam, and the damage is simulated by a reduction of stiffness properties of the elements. The curvature and MLDI values at each node of the baseline model (undamaged) and the damage model are computed respectively. Then the damage or damages can be located from a sudden change of the MLDI value. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method are validated by numerical simulation. The results indicate that the method is effective, being able to not only locate a single damage accurately, but also locate multiple damages in simply-supported bridges, including multiple damages in continuous bridges. The results also indicate that the MLDI can accurately locate damages under 5% measurement noise. 相似文献

随着地下空间资源的开发利用,越来越多深基坑呈现出开挖深、规模大、形状不规则等特点,其支护结构设计复杂,施工难度大,具有明显的空间效应。本文以南京地铁某基坑工程为例,分析基坑施工对邻近桥梁的影响。其场区位于长江下游漫滩相二元结构地层分布地段,上部软土层厚度大,下部承压含水层地下水位高、水量丰富,地质条件复杂,该基坑为典型的深大异形基坑,距离某大桥的双曲拱引桥仅为7. 2 m,由于之前桥梁已遭受其他地下工程施工产生的较大变形,所以后续工程对其影响变形控制要求极高。为此,该车站基坑支护结构设计基于地下空间实际功能采用设置分隔墙分区开挖及MJS超深工法墙综合变形控制方案。本文通过有限元数值模拟计算,开展复杂环境下基坑开挖引起的围护结构及桥梁桩基的变形预测分析,计算结果显示,该深大狭长异形基坑开挖对邻近桥梁沉降变形影响显著,通过设置分隔墙分区开挖及MJS工法墙进行变形控制,能够较好地控制基坑的空间效应,减少“长边效应”、“异形效应”等对桥梁沉降变形的影响。通过现场基坑开挖过程实际监测结果,验证这一综合变形控制方案的可行性。该研究成果对于类似复杂地质条件下深大狭长异形基坑的支护及施工设计具有很好的借鉴意义。 相似文献
