There is an increasing use of analytical macro‐beam techniques (such as portable XRF, PXRF) for geochemical measurements, as a result of their convenience and relatively low cost per measurement. Reference materials (RMs) are essential for validation, and sometimes calibration, of beam measurements, just as they are for the traditional analytical techniques that use bulk powders. RMs are typically supplied with data sheets that tabulate uncertainties in the reference values by element, for which purpose they also specify a minimum recommended mass of material to be used in the chemical analysis. This minimum mass may not be achievable using analytical beam techniques. In this study, the mass of the test portion interrogated by a handheld PXRF within pellets made from three silicate RMs (SdAR L2, M2 and H1) was estimated using a theoretical approach. It was found to vary from 0.001 to 0.3 g for an 8 mm beam size and 0.0001 to 0.045 g for a 3 mm beam. These test portion masses are mainly well below the recommended minimum mass for these particular RMs (0.2 g), but were found to increase as a function of atomic number (as might be expected). The uncertainties caused by heterogeneity (UHET) in PXRF measurements of the three RMs were experimentally estimated using two different beam diameters for eighteen elements. The elements showing the highest levels of heterogeneity (UHET > 5%) seem generally to be those usually associated with either an accessory mineral (e.g., Zr in zircon, As in pyrite) or low test portion mass (associated with low atomic number). When the beam size was changed from nominally 8 to 3 mm, the uncertainty caused by heterogeneity was seen to increase for most elements by an average ratio of 2.2. These values of UHET were used to calculate revised uncertainties of the reference values that would be appropriate for measurements made using a PXRF with these beam sizes. The methods used here to estimate UHET in PXRF measurements have a potential application to other analytical beam techniques.  相似文献

基于西太平洋板块向欧亚大陆板块下俯冲产生的推挤,造成黑龙江亚板块地下的地幔物质上涌,使其上覆岩石圈受到垂直方向上涌力的作用。通过分析"X"节理的形成、与断层的关系、火山群"X"型断裂构造的特点,对黑龙江亚板块1999年以来中强地震空间分布进行研究,呈网格化特征分布。根据构造类比法和历史地震比拟法,网格化交汇处缺震区未来几年或更长时间存在发生中强地震的背景,即内蒙古扎兰屯,通辽和黑龙江五大连池,绥化历史老震区;尤其是2008年6月10日内蒙古扎兰屯附近(阿荣旗境内)发生M 5.2地震后该地区可能再次成为未来地震的危险区。本文研究结果对区域地震危险区的判定有借鉴意义。  相似文献

Accurate reproduction of time series with diverse frequency characteristics is a central issue in structural testing. This is true not only for simple experimental tests performed by reaction walls or shaking tables but also for more sophisticated ones, such as hybrid testing. Especially in the latter case, where actual feedback from an ongoing test is used in the calculation of the next excitation value, any possible mismatch may be fatal for both the validity of the test and the safety. The objective of this study is to propose a framework for the adaptive inverse control of shaking tables, which succeeds in this matching to a certain degree. By formulating a critical set of design specifications that correspond to safety, implementation, robustness and ease of use, the conducted research results in a design that is based on a modified version of the filtered‐X algorithm with very competitive features. These are the following: (i) default operation in hard real‐time and acceleration mode; (ii) very low hardware requirements; (iii) effective cancelation of the shaking table's dynamics; and (iv) robustness against specimen dynamics. For its practical evaluation, the method is applied to shaking table waveform replication tests under the installation of an approximately linear specimen of sufficiently high mass and complex geometry. The results are promising and suggest further research toward this field, especially in conjunction with hybrid testing, as the method retains certain global applicability attributes and it can be easily extended to other transfer systems, apart from shaking tables. Anomalous X‐ray Pulsars and Soft Gamma‐ray Repeaters are believed to be magnetars: isolated neutron stars powered by the decay of extremely high magnetic fields. First studies of the X‐ray source population of M 31 were performed with the Einstein Observatory and ROSAT. High resolution Chandra Observatory images not only spatially resolved the center area but also supernova remnants (SNRs) in the galaxy. Source catalogues of restricted areas were presented with high astrometric accuracy. Also luminosity function studies and studies of individual sources based on Chandra and XMM‐Newton observations led to a better knowledge of the X‐ray source population. An XMM‐Newton source catalog based on archival observations revealed more than 850 sources down to a 0.2–4.5 keV luminosity of 1035 erg s–1. EPIC hardness ratios as well as informations from earlier X‐ray, optical, and radio catalogues were used to distinguish between different source classes (SNRs, supersoft sources (SSSs), X‐ray binaries (XRBs), globular cluster sources within M 31, and foreground stars and objects in the background). However, many sources could only be classified as “hard”. These sources may either be XRBs or Crab‐like SNRs in M 31 or background sources. Two of the globular cluster sources could be identified as low mass XRBs with a neutron star as compact object as they showed type I X‐ray bursts. Many of the SSSs were identified as optical novae. Inspired by these results an XMM‐Newton survey of the entire D25 disk of M 31 and a dedicated program to monitor X‐ray counterparts of optical novae in M 31 was started. Iron line emission is common in the X‐ray spectra of accreting black holes. When the line emission is broad or variable then it is likely to originate from close to the black hole. X‐ray irradiation of the accretion flow by the power‐law X‐ray continuum produces the X‐ray ‘reflection’ spectrum which includes the iron line. The shape and variability of the iron lines and reflection can be used as a diagnostic of the radius, velocity and nature of the flow. The inner radius of the dense flow corresponds to the innermost stable circular orbit and thus can be used to determine the spin of the black hole. Studies of broad iron lines and reflection spectra offer much promise for understanding how the inner parts of accretion flows (and outflows) around black holes operate. There remains great potential for XMM‐Newton to continue to make significant progress in this work. The need for high quality spectra and thus for long exposure times is paramount. 新生儿缺氧缺血性脑病临床分度和CT表现的对照研讨   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
目的:探讨新生儿缺氧缺血性脑病(HIE)临床CT表现和分度的关系。方法:对85例缺氧缺血性脑病新生儿的临床资料及CT征象进行回顾性分析。结果:根据HIE的临床诊断标准,轻度26例,中度38例,重度21例。颅脑CT显示全部85例均具有脑内异常密度减低区,CT值约6~18Hu(平均11Hu);合并颅内高密出血(52例),CT值约58~85Hu。依据新生儿缺氧缺血性脑病的CT诊断标准:轻度26例,中度38例及重度21例。48例进行了CT复查。其中19例轻度患儿脑水肿均在11天内消失而恢复正常;12例中度病例中,脑水肿征象有不同程度的减轻或消失,蛛网膜下腔出血已吸收,1例出现硬膜下少量积液;17例重度患者,其中出现脑软化6例,硬膜下积液3例,脑萎缩3例,脑积水2例,脑内钙化灶2例,脑穿通畸形1例,死亡4例。结论:本组资料新生儿缺氧缺血性脑病临床诊断分度与CT诊断分度有着很好的一致性。颅脑CT能准确显示HIE患儿脑内病变的部位、范围和程度。CT复查能显示患儿脑内病灶的恢复及遗留病变。颅脑CT表现结合临床分度能对本病的进行早诊断、早干预,减少脑损伤后遗症的发生,有着极其重要的价值。  相似文献
