High spatial resolution and spectral fidelity are basic standards for evaluating an image fusion algorithm. Numerous fusion methods for remote sensing images have been developed. Some of these methods are based on the intensity–hue–saturation (IHS) transform and the generalized IHS (GIHS), which may cause serious spectral distortion. Spectral distortion in the GIHS is proven to result from changes in saturation during fusion. Therefore, reducing such changes can achieve high spectral fidelity. A GIHS-based spectral preservation fusion method that can theoretically reduce spectral distortion is proposed in this study. The proposed algorithm consists of two steps. The first step is spectral modulation (SM), which uses the Gaussian function to extract spatial details and conduct SM of multispectral (MS) images. This method yields a desirable visual effect without requiring histogram matching between the panchromatic image and the intensity of the MS image. The second step uses the Gaussian convolution function to restore lost edge details during SM. The proposed method is proven effective and shown to provide better results compared with other GIHS-based methods.  相似文献

In this paper we present a method for computing the equilibrium structures and various physical parameters of a primary component of the binary system assuming that the primary is more massive than the secondary and is rotating differentially according to the law of the w2 = b0 + b1 × s2 + b2 × s4, w being the angular velocity of rotation of a fluid element distant s from the axis of rotation and b0, b1, b2 suitably chosen numerical constants. This method utilizes the averaging approach of Kippenhahn and Thomas (1997) and the concept of Roche equipotentials in a manner earlier used by Mohan et al. (1997) to incorporate the effects of rotation and tidal distortions on the equilibrium structures of certain rotationally and tidally distorted stellar models. The use of the method has been illustrated by applying it to obtain the structures and some observable parameters of certain differentially rotating and tidally distorted binary systems whose primary component is assumed to be a white dwarf star.  相似文献

针对传统数字水印算法无法抵抗投影变换攻击的问题,该文提出了一种对投影变换具有较高鲁棒性的数字水印算法。结合投影变换具有拓扑关系不变性以及在小范围内近似等特点,该文选择定位点和经纬线网格之间的包含关系作为水印载体,通过修改包含关系嵌入水印。实验证明该方法不仅对多种投影变换具有鲁棒性,而且能够抵抗裁剪、压缩等常见攻击,算法能够有效提高对矢量地图数据版权保护的能力。  相似文献

Although the quest for tidal accelerations among the Galilean satellites has been ongoing since the beginning of the last century, no real agreement has been found so far. Using a numerical approach, we simulate the effect of tidal interactions on the evolution of Io's motion during the last century. We show how these tidal effects can vanish during the fit process to observational data. By testing different values of dissipation within Io and Jupiter, we show that a non-detection of significant Io's orbital acceleration does not imply a large dissipation within Jupiter, and we suggest an upper bound value () for the dissipation rate within Io.  相似文献

A portable remote methane detector based on infrared-absorption spectroscopy using an InGaAsP distributed-feedback laser is described. This equipment transmits a laser beam and detects a fraction of the backscatter reflected from the target. From this, the detector thereby measures the integrated methane concentration between the detector and the target. The equipment operator can easily detect methane clouds at a distance by hand-scanning the laser beam. To achieve a high sensitivity of detection, wavelength-modulation spectroscopy is applied to the infrared-absorption measurement for methane. The wavelength of the light source is modulated at a frequency of 10 kHz, and the center wavelength is stabilized at the center of the 23 band R(3) line of methane (1.65372 m). When used with typical targets at distances up to 10 m, the detector has a detection limit of less than 5 ppm-m. To the best of the authors knowledge, the detector is the only hand-held product capable of remote methane detection. Recently, this novel equipment was commercially introduced into the Japanese market as a product named the Portable Remote Methane Detector (PRMD). Some PRMD units were in research use for detecting methane emissions from garbage landfills, although the PRMD was mainly developed for remote detection of leaks from natural gas pipelines. The author expects that the PRMD could become the standard equipment for field measurements of methane emissions from land.  相似文献

A high-resolution three-dimensional model of the Clyde Sea and the adjacent North Channel of the Irish Sea is used to compute the major diurnal and semidiurnal tides in the region, the associated energy fluxes and thickness of the bottom boundary layer. Initially, the accuracy of the model is assessed by performing a detailed comparison of computed tidal elevations and currents in the region, against an extensive database that exists for the M2, S2, N2, K1 and O1 tides. Subsequently, the model is used to compute the tidal energy flux vectors in the region. These show that the major energy flux is confined to the North Channel region, with little energy flux into the Clyde Sea. Comparison with the observed energy flux in the North Channel shows that its across-channel distribution and its magnitude are particularly sensitive to the phase difference between elevation and current. Consequently, small changes in the computed values of these parameters due to slight changes of the order of the uncertainty in the open-boundary values to the model, can significantly influence the computed energy flux. The thickness of the bottom boundary layer in the region is computed using a number of formulations. Depending upon the definition adopted, the empirical coefficient C used to determine its thickness varies over the range 0.1 to 0.3, in good agreement with values found in the literature. In the North Channel, the boundary layer thickness occupies the whole water depth, and hence tidal turbulence produced at the sea bed keeps the region well mixed. In the Clyde Sea, the boundary layer thickness is a small fraction of the depth, and hence the region stratifies.Responsible Editor: Phil Dyke  相似文献
