Summary According to the terrane model used for the interpretation of the heterogeneities in the Lower Palaeozoic development along the southwestern border of the East European platform (Baltica) several suspect terranes have been accreted to the passive platform margin during the closure of the postulated Tornquist Sea in Ordovician and Silurian times. Their final docking and partly overthrusting onto the platform are of Scandian (Early Devonian) age. A matter of dispute is the provenance of the various terranes. There are lithofacies, structural, palaeobiogeographical and palaeomagnetic constraints for relations both to Baltica and East Avalonia. Specific similarities can be observed between the Southern Jylland, Pomerania, ysogóry (including Radom-Krasik), and Rawa Russkaja terranes. After their accretion and amalgamation they may form a more or less continuous Caledonian marginal thrust belt along the platform border. On the other hand, more significant differences exist between the latter and the so far recognized Southern North Sea, Maopolska, Cracovides, Upper Silesian, Sudeten, Kochanowka, and Dobrogean terranes. The position of any Tornquist Sea suture zone(s) is still completely enigmatic.  相似文献

 Hydraulic networks of carbonate rocks usually consist of three types of spaces: pores, fissures, and caverns; sometimes filled forms also are present. At sufficiently large scales, the spaces are assumed to be homogeneous with arbitrary boundaries and to be characterized by mean values of parameters. A conceptual model and its schematic presentation demonstrate the importance of particular parameters for flow and solute transport, and they explain the responses of pumping rates and water levels to changes in boundary conditions. Three examples characterize some typical networks: (1) chalk in eastern Poland, representing fissured aquifers with a high storage volume for solutes in stagnant matrix water; (2) Middle Triassic limestones in southern Poland, representing fissured-cavernous aquifers; however, a large storage volume for solute transport is in mostly stagnant matrix water; and (3) Triassic dolomites in the same area, representing porous-fissured-cavernous aquifers with a considerable storage volume in the matrix, which can partly be released (20%), considerably contributing to the total specific yield. For the last two types of aquifers, the hydraulic conductivity near pumping wells and mine galleries usually quickly increases in time due to suffosion of filled forms, which leads to a temporal large increase of the inflows. Glaciolacustrine kames in the Bielsk Podlaski area (eastern Poland) exhibit a unique regular pattern. Three representative morphological kame types were chosen for detailed sedimentological analyses, specifically: isolated, isometric mounds; isolated, elongated hills; and branching ridges. All types comprised fine‐grained sandy and sandy/silty deposits. Lithofacies analysis resulted in the distinction of several lithofacies associations. Associations dominated by medium‐ or large‐scale, massive or horizontally laminated sands are interpreted as proximal subaqueous fans; associations dominated by medium‐ or small‐scale lithofacies of ripple‐drift cross‐laminated sand are interpreted as distal subaqueous fans; and those dominated by sandy/silty, silty or silty/clayey lithofacies with horizontal lamination are interpreted as lake bottomsets. Rates of sediment accumulation appear to have been fast, resulting in syndepositional and metadepositional deformation structures of two types: water‐escape structures, and slumps on subaqueous slopes. After the ice‐walled lake basins filled with sediment, glaciofluvial erosion and deposition alternated, resulting in erosional channels of up to 1 m deep, later filled with gravel or gravely sand. The results indicate that kames developed in a supraglacial environment within a topography of ice‐cored moraines containing ice‐walled lakes that persisted due to the presence of permafrost. Pauses during retreat of the ice walls resulted in ice‐contact deformations at the edges of the kames. Kame formation is therefore consistent with a continental climate and this may explain the increased abundance of this type of kame system in Eastern Europe.  相似文献

Three metal sickles from the late Bronze Age (ca. 1000/900-750 BC, HB1-HB3 period) scrap deposit (34 objects, 3443 g in total) from Paszowice in SW Poland were sampled to analyse their chemical composition and metal structure. They are made of low-tin bronze (Sn 2.6–4 wt. %) and such property is usually interpreted as making them more malleable, flexible and easy to sharpen. One of the sickles bears no macroscopic traces of processing after the casting and its dendritic structure also indicates that the molten metal was cooled without any deformation. The metal structure reorganisation due to hammering is well visible in SEM images and suggests that the two other sickles were subject to treatment after heating. The traces of that kind of treatment are not visible in the macroscopic study. We show, therefore, that a precise identification of manufacturing techniques is impossible by macroscopic surface observations only.  相似文献

Calcite and sedimentary fills in fractures cutting the Upper Devonian carbonates in the Holy Cross Mountains (HCM) were dated palaeomagnetically by comparison with the apparent polar wander path (APWP). Haematite-bearing calcite possessed well-defined components of natural remanent magnetization (NRM), which were preserved under thermal demagnetization to temperatures of approximately 500 °C, when specimens disintegrated. Although not completely demagnetized, some specimens revealed a stable NRM component before destruction, thus making a component analysis possible. Five components were determined using density point distribution and cluster analysis. One has a mean that is similar to the present-day local geomagnetic vector. The remaining four components yielded palaeomagnetic poles located at: A (70.3°S, 5.5°E), B (71.3°S, 31.2°E), C (48.7°S, 351.0°E, virtual geomagnetic pole), and D (11.6°S, 312.3°E). Antipodal polarities found in the fracture fills, together with dissimilarities in magnetization found in calcite and hosting carbonates, indicate the lack of simultaneous remagnetization, and different times of remanence acquisition for the rocks under comparison. Taking both palaeomagnetically inferred palaeolatitudes and regional tectonics into consideration, a Mesozoic (Cretaceous?) age is estimated for palaeopoles A and B, a Permian age for pole C, and a Carboniferous age for pole D. These age determinations are in line with the calcite ages estimated from isotopic studies. A comparative palaeomagnetic study performed on a well-dated Upper Devonian neptunian dyke of limestone and a Lower Triassic clastic vein yielded virtual geomagnetic poles (VGPs) close to the APWP for Baltica. Generally, the remanence from fracture fills may be useful for dating related tectonics, karst phenomena and mineralization processes.  相似文献

The population of Saynoceras verrucosum (d’Orbigny) from the Polish basin (W?wa? section, central Poland) shows no significant intraspecific variability. Dimorphism has not been found in this population. Statistical analyses of material from the shallow epicratonic Polish basin and the relatively deep Vocontian basin (southeastern France) indicated two populations. Forms from the Polish basin are somewhat more inflated and smaller than forms from the Vocontian basin.  相似文献

Eight one-dimensional steady-state models with different complexity, which describe the phosphate concentration as a function of the distance along a river, were examined with respect to accuracy and uncertainty of the model results and identifiability of the model parameters by means of combined calibration and sensitivity analysis using Monte Carlo simulations. In addition, the models were evaluated by the Akaike information criterion (AIC). All eight models were calibrated on the same data set from the Biebrza River, Poland. Although the accuracy increases with model complexity, the percentage of explained variance is not significantly improved in comparison with the model that describes the phosphate concentration by means of three parameters. This model also yields the minimum value of the AIC and the parameters could be well identified. Identification of the model parameters becomes poorer with increasing model complexity; in other words the parameters become increasingly correlated. This scarcely affects the uncertainty of the model results if correlation is taken into account. If correlation is not taken into account, the uncertainty of model results increases with model complexity. © 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

“一带一路”倡议的实施和中欧班列开通频次的增加带动了“一带一路”沿线企业生产组织方式的变化。以TCL波兰工厂为例,深入剖析其传统的生产组织方式和现有生产组织方式的特征及二者的区别,在此基础上系统论述了中欧班列对其现有生产组织方式的影响机制及作用方式。主要结论为:① 中欧班列对TCL波兰工厂现有生产组织方式产生了深刻影响,主要表现在:原料配送时间成本降低、供应链时长缩短;原材料的“零库存”效应;市场响应能力和效益的提升;生产更加准时化、精益化,产品品质和多样化程度提升等方面。② 在中欧班列准时化跨国运输的支撑下,TCL波兰工厂摒弃传统的以“刚性大规模生产”为主的福特制生产组织方式,吸收丰田制的精髓,形成了一种特有的生产组织方式——“全球流动的即时生产”。③ TCL波兰工厂现有的生产组织方式与传统的生产组织方式有明显区别,体现在原材料的运输方式及仓储方式的变化、生产线的变化、生产方式及质量检测组织的变化等方面。  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The aim of the article is to present and discuss functions of public monuments in relation to different dimensions of geographical space. The authors discuss public spaces, monuments, public art, based on a mixed-method approach and an analysis of scientific literature as the main research method. The theoretical discussion is supplemented with the results of Internet searches and an analysis of media supplements, and specific examples are given, including some from Poland. An additional method was autoethnography, which involved an analysis of cultural phenomena based on the authors’ experience. The analysis revealed that monuments were part of public art and thus enriched public spaces in cities. They fulfilled different important functions: artistic, symbolic, commemorative, political, social, religious, marketing, and mixed. Additionally, the monuments reflected the contemporary transformation of ideas and social orders and therefore also reflected contemporary urban debates. They were products of social relations, powers, ideas, identities, and the collective memory reflected in the urban spatial structure of cities. The authors conclude that the examples presented in the demonstrate that monuments perform various functions in urban public spaces. From a spatial perspective, the role of monuments depends on their different impacts on people’s perceptions and interpretations of space.  相似文献

This paper presents the benthic foraminiferal biostratigraphy of the lower and middle Campanian of the Polish Lowlands based on the study of Wierzchowisko, Jeżówka and Rzeżuśnia sections in the Wolbrom-Miechów area (southern Poland) and the Mielnik section (eastern Poland).The ranges of twenty two selected stratigraphically useful taxa of the genera Gavelinella, Bolivinoides, Cibicidoides, Globorotalites and Stensioeina are presented in relation to macrofossil zonation, previously established in the same successions. The evolutionary changes within selected lineages of the studied genera and major foraminiferal bioevents are discussed. The taxa ranges recorded in the Polish Cretaceous are compared with the ranges described from western Europe. Most of the studied events seem to be readily applicable for stratigraphic correlation all over Europe.  相似文献
