Concerns with the politics and practices of resource rights and access are integral to contemporary debates over environmental justice. Struggles over identity politics, especially the strategic articulation and deployment of particular identities at diverse geographical scales, have recently emerged as important mediators of justice claims in respect of resources rights, but also of recognition and procedural justice. To date, critical, multi-scalar analyses of identity-based claims for environmental justice have focused largely on the indigenous peoples’ movement. In doing so, they have failed to embrace an emergent dimension of identity-based, trans-scalar justice, namely the fledgling global pastoralists’ movement, the empirical focus for this paper. In the early years of the 21st century mobile pastoralists have begun to carve out new global spaces, through which diverse groups have attempted to negotiate common ground and forge common identities in their struggles for justice. In particular, mobile pastoralists have become increasingly visible in conservation politics and contests over land rights as they lay claim to both discursive and material ground as ‘custodians of the commons’ in an era of global climatic change. This paper draws on empirical work amongst pastoralists, NGOs and activists from Kenya, Mongolia and Spain to explore these identities, their implications for resource rights and access and the multi-scalar chains of accountability and legitimacy between global activists and their local constituents. 相似文献

The site of final closure of Paleo-Tethys Ocean during the Triassic-Jurassic was marked by the colli-sional event between the Shan Massif and Indochina plate, in eastern Myanmar. Previous site of consumption of Paleo-Tethys is now occupied by a complex zone of suturing and deformation along Than Lwin River and in the east of it, formed by drastic tectonic evolution. It is geographically located approximately between longitudes 98E and 100E, and it extends northwards to Yunnan and southwards into West Thailand. The sigmoidal wrench struc-tures of suture zone is situated in the east of step-like structures of Shan Massif, and the western boundary of the suture zone must be immediately on the west side of Than Lwin River and the eastern boundary is near the east border of Myanmar. The area is largely covered by younger rocks of Paleozoic and Mesozoic age. The Upper Pa-leozoic units of Carboniferous to Permian comprise limestone and dolomite of the Plateau Limestone overlying unconformably the Lower Paleozoic rocks. Metasedimentary rocks of the Carboniferous and their metamorphic equivalents and the flysch-like Triassic-Jurassic units are found as folded and thrusted beds in the area. Large complex of granitic rocks of Late Triassic are also found. Metavolcanics, gabbro and a large number of chromite occur along with these units. A preliminary delineation of a suture zone as the site of closure of Paleo-Tethys Ocean in Myanmar territory is made for the first time and this zone is believed to be a tectonic linkage between Changning-Menglian belt of West China and Inthanon Zone of West Thailand. 相似文献

采用非开挖水平定向钻进技术近地表施工时,由于地层及钻井液压力等原因易产生地表变形。结合美国梅萨市一处通信管道施工实例,对0-0.9 MPa钻井液压力作用下的地表变形程度进行了数值分析,得到地表最大隆起量为26 mm。采用DCRP技术及水准仪方法对该变形区域钻井液压力作用前后的地表进行位移检测,得到地表最大隆起量分别为28 mm和30 mm,表明数值模拟分析结果同现场检测结果比较吻合。同时,在现场所布置的26个检测点中,两种方法检测到的隆起量最大相差2.7 mm,表明其精度比较接近。此外,由于DCRP技术属于非接触式三维检测,受施工现场条件及人员操作限制少,故具有较为理想的应用前景。 相似文献

大南盘江地区发育多套成熟烃源岩,具有良好的油气成藏条件。但由于烃源岩埋藏深、成熟早,成藏之后经历多期强烈的后期构造运动改造,先前形成的油气藏大都被破坏,导致目前地表出露多处古油藏和油气苗。多年的油气勘探证实,后期的构造运动对油气藏的破坏作用是制约该区油气勘探的关键问题。研究表明,大南盘江地区不同构造单元,油气藏的破坏因素不同。南盘江坳陷古油藏沿深大断裂分布,其破坏的主控因素是断裂活动;桂中坳陷古油藏和油气显示出露区缺失区域盖层,其破坏的主控因素是构造抬升剥蚀;十万大山盆地古油藏目前残留的烃类主要是固体沥青,镜质体反射率(Rb)大都落在2.0以上,推算经历的最高热解温度均大于200℃,而且古油藏的分布区也是印支期岩浆岩集中分布区,因此推断该区油气藏破坏的主控因素是岩浆活动。 相似文献

The analysis of sand samples by x-ray fluorescent spectroscopy (XRF) gives the ratio of the geochemical elements to construct the sand samples. The x-ray analysis therefore shows the geochemical characteristics of sand in the sampled area. In this study, sand is sampled on coasts and rivers of the Noto Peninsula to determine the geochemical elements and to show the geological characteristics that occur, especially iron and calcium. The experiments show the effect of rivers and Kotogahama beach on iron and calcium, respectively. Applying the method of ratio matching to the measured data of the geochemical elements, the direction of movement of sand on the coast is determined by considering the correlation matrix and the ratio of geochemical elements between sand samples at two locations. The predominant longshore direction movement of sand offshore in the study area is from south to north. Sand in rivers is not directly transported to adjacent beaches; however, offshore sand is transported to beaches. The estimated direction of movement of sand longshore near coastal structures agrees with observations. The proposed method to predict the direction of movement of sand gives the correct one in comparison with the observed data in rivers. 相似文献

运用系统分析的方法和优势结构面理论,提出了岩土优势结构面的储运水效应的概念,并对它的几个应用方面进行了探讨,结果表明:①岩土体中存在各种类型的结构面,实际岩土工程中的稳定、渗透和突水问题一般是由优势结构面所引起;②在找出优势结构面即富水优势断裂的基础上,确定优势井位、优势井深,可确保缺水地区找水的成功;③地下突水与优势结构面关系密切,但只有具备了多种储运水优势指标的优势结构面才是富水的,才有可能导致突水事故;④在降水和其它地表水的作用下,水将优先向边坡中优势结构面发生渗漏,而水的浸入又加速了土体的软化及结构面的生成,水与结构面相互促进,形成了恶性循环,最后导致滑坡的产生;⑤堤、坝及其地基中的优势面和优势层的存在是内在因素,而水是外在因素。内外因素的联合作用下可能导致堤坝的渗透、变形和破坏。 相似文献

河南地区存在三个明显的重力异常区,与其区内三个次一级的构造分区相一致,其重力异常曲线的挤压扭曲特征、剪切平移特征、张性舒展特征分别对应构造挤压变形机制、平移剪切机制及变形拉张机制。这些变形受印支、燕山及喜马拉雅期三大构造运动控制,其中印支期剥蚀及沉降程度是构成现今煤层埋藏条件的重要因素,燕山期形成河南煤田的逆冲推覆型控煤构造,喜马拉雅期构造运动,最终确立了河南煤系的展布范围及赋存状态,这表明控煤模式是构造运动的结果。 相似文献
