In this work we report 207Pb/206Pb LA-ICPMS ages of 152 detrital zircons from lower greenschist facies quartzites from Proterozoic basin successions of the southern border of the São Francisco Craton, southern Minas Gerais State, Brazil. These are the intracratonic São João del Rei basin, the intraplate continental margin Andrelândia basin, and the Serra do Ouro Grosso sequence, developed on a crystalline basement older than 1.8 Ga, and deformed and metamorphosed during the Brasiliano Orogeny, ca. 0.59–0.50 Ga. The data constrain both the ages of the sources and the interval of sedimentation. The detrital zircons of the Serra do Ouro Grosso sequence were derived predominantly from the erosion of a Neoarchean crust, 2.5–2.8 Ga old, with only one grain showing a Paleoproterozoic age (2, 245±83 Ma) older than the Transamazonian event. Zircons extracted from a shelf quartzite of the lowermost sequence of the São João del Rei basin indicate derivation from the 1.8–2.2 Ga Transamazonian crust, with subordinate contribution from the 2.5–2.9 Ga Archean crust. The 1, 809±41 Ma age is interpreted as the maximum limit for sedimentation in this basin. The results confirm the regional correlation with the Espinhaço Rift successions. The zircons extracted from an autochthonous quartzite of the Andrelândia sequence yielded ages in the 1.0–2.2 Ga range, with a modal class at 1.2–1.3 Ga. Only two of the forty analyzed zircons yield Archean ages. The youngest zircon yields 1, 086±85 Ma. The zircons from the allochthonous quartzite yield ages between 1.0–2.7 Ga, with a modal class at 2.1–2.2 Ga. Only five of 45 analyzed grains yield Archean ages. The youngest zircon has an age of 1, 047±77 Ma. The results indicate that the detrital sediments deposited during the second marine flooding event of the Andrelândia sedimentation were mainly derived from the erosion of Mesoproterozoic and Paleoproterozic rocks. Field observations and CA-LA-ICP-MS U–Pb zircon ages and Hf isotope compositions obtained from migmatitic orthogneisses and granitoids from the Belo Horizonte Complex, southern São Francisco Craton, indicate a major period of partial melting and production of felsic rocks in the Neoarchean. Our observations show that the complex is an important site for studying partial melting processes of Archean crystalline crust. Much of the complex exposes fine-grained stromatic migmatites that are intruded by multiple leucogranitic veins and sheeted dikes. Both migmatites and leucogranite sheets are crosscut by several phases of granitoid batholiths and small granitic bodies; both of which are closely associated with the host banded gneisses. Chemical abrasion followed by detailed cathodoluminescence imaging revealed a wide variety of zircon textures that are consistent with a long-lived period of partial melting and crustal remobilization. Results of U-Pb and Hf isotopes disclose the complex as part of a much wider crustal segment, encompassing the entire southern part of the São Francisco Craton. Compilation of available U-Pb ages suggests that this crustal segment was consolidated sometime between 3000 Ma and 2900 Ma and that it experienced three main episodes of partial melting before stabilization at 2600 Ma. The partial melting episodes took place between 2750 Ma and 2600 Ma as a result of tectonic accretion and peeling off the lithospheric mantle and lower crust. This process is likely responsible for the emplacement of voluminous potassic granitoids across the entire São Francisco Craton. We believe that the partial melting of Meso-Archean crystalline crust and production of potassic granitoids are linked to a fundamental shift in the tectonics of the craton, which was also responsible for the widespread intrusion of large syenitic bodies in the northern part of the craton, and the construction of layered mafic–ultramafic intrusions to the south of the BHC. 相似文献

本文对东天山黄山-镜儿泉岩浆铜镍硫化物成矿带原来古生物地层学方法厘定的早石炭统干墩组和晚石炭统梧桐窝子组的碎屑锆石进行了激光等离子质谱(LA-ICP-MS)U-Pb年代学研究。干墩组碳质板岩、变质砂岩和变质长石石英砂岩中的碎屑锆石U-Pb年龄分别为301~491 Ma、307~426 Ma和313~461 Ma,最年轻锆石的加权平均值分别为307.1±3.7 Ma、310.4±2.2 Ma、315.0±10 Ma,表明干墩组最大沉积年龄为晚石炭世。而梧桐窝子组变质砂岩和变质凝灰岩的碎屑锆石年龄为384~448 Ma和393~448 Ma,最年轻锆石的加权平均值分别为386.5±5.8 Ma、394.6±4.5 Ma,确定其最大的沉积年龄为早—中泥盆世。这与近年来对侵位于这些地层的火成岩体的锆石U-Pb年龄一致,说明康古尔-雅满苏岛弧带至少从中泥盆世就开始发育。中—下泥盆统梧桐窝子组与上石炭统干墩组地层之间上泥盆统—下石炭统地层厚度约为10 km,说明侵位于这两套地层中的含铜镍硫化物镁铁-超镁铁岩体分别代表了岩浆通道系统的深部岩浆通道相和浅部岩浆房,整个岩浆通道系统的纵向规模大约为10 ... 相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a new method called Forced Neural Network (FNN) to find the parameters of the object in geophysical
section respect to gravity anomaly assuming the prismatic model. The aim of the geological modeling is to find the shape and
location of underground structure, which cause the anomalies, in 2D cross section. At the first stage, we use one neuron to
model the system and apply back propagation algorithm to find out the density difference. At the second level, quantization
is applied to the density differences and mean square error of the system is computed. This process goes on until the mean
square error of the system is small enough. First, we use FNN to two synthetic data, and then the Sivas–Gürün basin map in
Turkey is chosen as a real data application. Anomaly values of the cross section, which is taken from the gravity anomaly

During the 1997/1998 El Niño event, extensive oceanic temperature profiles were taken off the coast of California in January and February 1998 using Airborne Expendable Bathythermographs (AXBTs). These AXBT measurements are compared with altimetry-based upper-ocean temperature estimates using TOPEX and ERS satellite altimetry data. The altimetry-based temperature estimates are well correlated with the AXBT data, in particular when combining the two satellite data sets together to form a blended altimeter temperature estimate. Both the AXBT and altimetry data show that the nearshore coastal El Niño signal differed from that further offshore. The AXBT data show that near shore, the warm anomalies extended to much greater depths and had greater amplitude. A time series of the satellite-derived layer-averaged temperatures, averaged separately over the nearshore and offshore halves of the AXBT analysis domain, also shows a larger El Niño signal in the nearshore half. The role of local atmospheric forcing of the coastal oceanic temperature anomalies is analyzed using NCEP reanalysis and coastal upwelling data sets. The forcing terms include Ekman pumping, radiation, surface heat fluxes, precipitation, and alongshore wind stresses that drive coastal upwelling (expressed as a coastal downwelling index, CDI). The temperature forcing from all of the terms except the CDI anomalies are small. The CDI anomalies can explain most of the slowly varying temperature changes that occur near the coast during a two-year period spanning the El Niño event, as well as some of the larger amplitude, rapid (monthly) warming episodes that appear to be part of the El Niño signal. Several distinct rapid warming episodes, however, are not correlated with the CDI anomalies, and therefore we conclude that the nearshore El Niño signal originates from a combination of both a remote oceanic pathway and local atmospheric forcing. 相似文献

The connection between East Australian Current (EAC) transport variability and Australia’s east coast sea level has received little treatment in the literature. This is due in part to the complex interacting physical processes operating in the coastal zone combined with the sparsity of observations available to improve our understanding of these possible connections. This study demonstrates a statistically significant (at the >90% level) relationship between interannual to decadal time scale variations in observed estimates of the EAC transport changes and east coast sea level measured at the high-quality, long record Fort Denison tide-gauge in Sydney Harbour, Australia (33°51′18″S, 151°13′32″E). We further demonstrate, using a linear reduced-gravity ocean model, that ENSO to decadal time-scale variations and the ocean-adjusted multi-decadal trend (approx. 1 cm/decade) in observed sea level at Fort Denison are strongly connected to modulations of EAC transports by incoming westward propagating oceanic Rossby waves. We show that EAC transport and Fort Denison sea level vary in a manner expected from both Tasman Sea generated Rossby waves, which account for the interannual and multi-annual variability, and remotely forced (from east of New Zealand) Rossby wave connections through the mid-latitudes, accounting for the ocean-adjusted multi-decadal trend observed at the New South Wales coast - with the regional-Tasman Sea forcing explaining the greatest overall proportion of EAC transport and sea-level variances. 相似文献
