短短几年间智能移动终端的极大流行,将我们的生活快速推进到智能移动网络时代,也为基于桌面系统以及服务器的网络GIS应用,提供了一个新的发展天地。本文通过分析智能移动终端的发展阐述了移动应用服务的发展潜力,并介绍了移动应用的现状、种类、应用需求和技术构成。

探讨了GIS技术在综合实践活动辅助教学中的应用,以中国地图为例,在讲授地图的基本知识后,让学生利用MapGIS软件动手制作一幅中国地图,并在此基础上引导学生进行简单的空间分析,锻炼学生的动手能力和空间分析思维,培养学生的信息素养、探究能力和创造精神。

Abstract

With this paper, I elaborate the use of the movies American History X and Mi Familia in classroom settings to highlight issues of ethnicity and the social construction of identity through families and communities. Taken together, these movies draw attention to racial geographies of Los Angeles but in very different ways. I contrast the ways they involve familial reactions to geographies of exclusion and betrayal, and how racial space is structured through larger community and institutional relations. I speak to how these issues are broached in a large introductory, interdisciplinary class.     

The Trade and Industries of Western South America

Abstract

This research was based on an instructional module developed and used to investigate whether GIS can be used to enhance fourth grade students' geographic knowledge and map skills. Another goal was to identify challenges the teachers and the students face using GIS.

Findings from the study suggest that using GIS in the classroom helps students improve their geographic knowledge and maps skills. In addition, this study found that the students' geographic content knowledge tended to improve gradually and the knowledge transferred to the subsequent lessons, while certain map skills tended to develop in a more specific manner.     

An Assessment of the Use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) in Teaching Geography in Singapore Schools

Abstract

In 1998, geographical information systems (GIS) were introduced to secondary schools in Singapore as a tool for teaching geography at the secondary and junior college levels. However, general observations and feedback from school teachers suggested that only a small number of secondary schools and junior colleges in Singapore were actually using GIS to support the teaching and learning of geography. The present research study was designed to establish the level of GIS usage and to investigate the reasons for the slow integration of GIS in the Singapore secondary schools. This article presents the findings of this research and provides some insight into the use of GIS in Singapore secondary schools.

Abstract

This article presents a case study that highlights the benefits and limitations of Web-based video in lab sections of The Geographer’s Craft, an upper-level undergraduate course in which students apply digital geographic methods. Over three years (2010–2013), the authors experimented with different teaching strategies utilizing Web-based video for lab lectures and software demonstrations. This article presents three different approaches for its application, from inside and outside the classroom, to a ”flipped classroom” setting. The authors argue that Web-based video is a valuable tool for teaching digital geographic research methods and techniques while allowing for greater focus on theory and application.     

基于GIS的社区环境信息管理系统研究

在GIS技术支持下,以福州市鼓楼区铜盘河沿岸社区作为研究对象,通过收集社区的自然环境、社会环境以及污染源等相关信息,同时结合遥感影像,运用相关软件进行空间信息的矢量化,建立起社区级环境信息管理系统.该系统包括4个模块：地图显示、数据输入、信息查询和专题图制作.本研究在建立数据库的基础上,对数据进行分析.该数据库对于社区环境信息管理系统的建设具有一定的指导意义和参考价值.     

中国不同气候区域Hargreaves模型的修正

在计算参考作物蒸散量的模型中,FAO Penman-Monteith模型计算准确但需要气象参量过多,而Hargreaves模型只需要气温数据却无法保证较高的准确性。为了提高Hargreaves模型在中国不同气候类型条件下的适用性,以FAO Penman-Monteith模拟值为参考,建立了Hargreaves模型的修正系数。CLIMWAT数据库中156个站点的应用表明,修正前R2、RMSE分别为88.1%、3.803mm/d,修正后分别为97.3%、0.233mm/d;北京站多年的应用表明,修正前R2、RMSE分别为94.4%、4.861mm/d,修正后分别为97.2%、0.442mm/d。在此基础上,利用GIS分区运算工具建立了中国不同气候区域的修正系数表。研究结果有助于提高常规气象观测条件下(无风速、辐射观测)不同气候区域参考作物蒸散量的估算精度。     

胶州湾北部滨海湿地分布特征及质量评价

以胶州湾北部滨海湿地为研究区域,运用RS和GIS技术提取湿地信息,研究时空变化特征,建立湿地定量评价系统,并对湿地质量进行分析。研究表明,自1997年到2007年,该地湿地类型变化较大,沿岸湿地退化现象严重,人为活动影响增大,非湿地面积大量增加,湿地质量不断下降。
