A size classification for debris flows 总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
A 10-fold classification for debris flow size is proposed based on total volume, peak discharge and area inundated by debris. Size classes can be used for regional overview studies where detailed site investigations are either unnecessary, too costly or where the highest hazard and risk creeks need to be identified for further study. They are also useful to compare the regional impact between affected areas and the effects of rainstorms, and they allow lay-people to obtain an understanding of debris flow magnitude and consequences. Finally, different size classes allow the estimation of travel times to points of interest based on empirically derived equations. It is proposed that agencies concerned with debris flows should establish a documentation of debris flow size according to this classification, which serves as a data base for hazard and risk planning. 相似文献

Thirty-three new measurements on the seaward slope and outer rise of the Japan Trench along a parallel of 38°45′N revealed
the existence of high heat flow anomalies on the subducting Pacific plate, where the seafloor age is about 135 m.y.. The most
prominent anomaly with the highest value of 114 mW/m2 is associated with a small mound on the outer rise, which was reported to be a kind of mud volcano. On the seaward slope
of the trench, heat flow is variable: high (70–90 mW/m2) at some locations and normal for the seafloor age (about 50 mW/m2) at others. The spatial variation of heat flow may be related to development of normal faults and horst/graben structures
due to bending of the Pacific plate before subduction, with fluid flow along the fault zones enhancing the vertical heat transfer.
Possible heat sources of the high heat flow anomalies are intra-plate volcanism in the last several million years like that
discovered recently on the Pacific plate east of the Japan Trench. 相似文献

There could be some discontinuities in a soil media such as layers, earth structures, cracks, and fissures so that estimation
of stresses and deformations in these types of soil masses are somewhat different from continuous masses. The discontinuities
in a soil mass could be considered as a special link between two blocks. Transmitted swelling pressures affected by the soil
properties of the backfill especially at the interface between the backfill and retaining wall. In order to estimate the transmitted
swelling pressure distribution behind a retaining wall, using with interface element, a new finite element model and a code
(SWELPRES) have been developed. To evaluate the effect of backfill characteristics and interface element from the transmitted

莺-琼盆地是典型的高温高压盆地,现今平均地表热流78.7mW/m2,产生地表高热流的主要原因是深部热流体活动。根据盆地地温场分布特征与地下流体活动规律的关系,利用井温资料,我们计算了典型钻孔LD30-1-1A井地下流体的流速分布。结果表明,LD-30-1-1A井地下流体可分为上、中、下三段。上段流体运动微弱,垂向流速仅为8.33×10-12 cm/s;中段流体向下垂向流速为4.37×10-8 cm/s;下段流体向上垂向流速为2.65×10-8 cm/s. 相似文献

The sphalerite oxidative kinetics under hypergene condition was simulated and studied by means of a mixed flow reactor over a pH range of 1.0 7.8,and at dissolution temperatures from 20 to 55℃,ferric ion concentrations from 1.0×10-5 to 1.0×10-2 mol/L,O 2 flux of 0.5 L/min,and oxidants of ferric ion and O 2.It is indicated that with ferric ion as oxidant,the oxidation rate of sphalerite increases with increasing ferric ion concentration,temperature and decreasing pH value,and under the studied conditions,the dissolution rates of Zn and Cd are approximately identical,with the values of activation energy being 41.75 and 42.51 kJ·mol-1,respectively,suggesting that the oxidation rate of sphalerite is controlled by chemical reactions on mineral surface.However,with O 2 as oxidant,the oxidation mechanism of sphalerite varies with pH value.Oxidation rate decreases with increasing pH value when pH is lower than 5.95,whereas the increase of pH value results in an increase in oxidation rate when pH value is higher than 7.The oxidation rate of sphalerite can be expressed as:R Zn =10 1.1663 [Fe3+] 0 0.154 ·[H+] 0.2659 ·e-41.75/RT or R Cd =10 1.7292 [Fe3+] 0 0.170 ·[H+] 0.2637 ·e-42.51/RT 相似文献
