This paper deals with the problem of detecting and correcting cycle-slips in Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) phase
data by exploiting the Bayesian theory. The method is here applied to undifferenced observations, because repairing cycle-slips
already at this stage could be a useful pre-processing tool, especially for a network of permanent GNSS stations. If a dual
frequency receiver is available, the cycle-slips can be easily detected by combining two phase observations or phase and range
observations from a single satellite to a single receiver. These combinations, expressed in a distance unit form, are completely
free from the geometry and depend only on the ionospheric effect, on the electronic biases and on the initial integer ambiguities;
since these terms are expected to be smooth in time, at least in a short period, a cycle-slip in one or both the two carriers
can be modelled as a discontinuity in a polynomial regression. The proposed method consists in applying the Bayesian theory
to compute the marginal posterior distribution of the discontinuity epoch and to detect it as a maximum a posteriori (MAP)
in a very accurate way. Concerning the cycle-slip correction, a couple of simultaneous integer slips in the two carriers is
chosen by maximazing the conditional posterior distribution of the discontinuity amplitude given the detected epoch. Numerical
experiments on simulated and real data show that the discontinuities with an amplitude 2 or 3 times larger than the noise
standard deviation are successfully identified. This means that the Bayesian approach is able to detect and correct cycle-slips
using undifferenced GNSS observations even if the slip occurs by one cycle. A comparison with the scientific software BERNESE
5.0 confirms the good performance of the proposed method, especially when data sampled at high frequency (e.g. every 1 s or

This paper presents a general modeling strategy for ambiguity resolution (AR) and position estimation (PE) using three or
more phase-based ranging signals from a global navigation satellite system (GNSS). The proposed strategy will identify three
best “virtual” signals to allow for more reliable AR under certain observational conditions characterized by ionospheric and
tropospheric delay variability, level of phase noise and orbit accuracy. The selected virtual signals suffer from minimal
or relatively low ionospheric effects, and thus are known as ionosphere-reduced virtual signals. As a result, the ionospheric parameters in the geometry-based observational models can be eliminated for
long baselines, typically those of length tens to hundreds of kilometres. The proposed modeling comprises three major steps.
Step 1 is the geometry-free determination of the extra-widelane (EWL) formed between the two closest L-band carrier measurements,
directly from the two corresponding code measurements. Step 2 forms the second EWL signal and resolves the integer ambiguity
with a geometry-based estimator alone or together with the first EWL. This is followed by a procedure to correct for the first-order
ionospheric delay using the two ambiguity-fixed widelane (WL) signals derived from the integer-fixed EWL signals. Step 3 finds
an independent narrow-lane (NL) signal, which is used together with a refined WL to resolve NL ambiguity with geometry-based
integer estimation and search algorithms. As a result, the above two AR processes performed with WL/NL and EWL/WL signals
respectively, either in sequence or in parallel, can support real time kinematic (RTK) positioning over baselines of tens
to hundreds of kilometres, thus enabling centimetre-to-decimentre positioning at the local, regional and even global scales

The 2004 Chuetsu earthquakes of Niigata (Japan) triggered numerous landslides, and the most widespread types of landslides
were highly disrupted, relatively shallow slides and soil (debris) flows. This paper presented a method to evaluate slope
instability using Newmark displacement on a pixel-by-pixel basis in a given area. The proposed method was able to integrate
Newmark displacement modeling and Monte Carlo simulations within geographical information systems. In the modeling, an empirical
attenuation relationship was utilized to calculate Arias intensity over this study area, and the variability of geotechnical
parameters was taken into account to calculate coseismic landslide displacement. Before deriving the displacement from related
inputs, the Monte Carlo simulations ran 1,500 times and generated 1,500 displacement values for each grid cell, and then means
and standard deviations of displacement were calculated and probabilistic distributions can be obtained. Finally, given 10 cm
as a threshold value of displacement, estimated probabilities of displacement exceeding 10 cm were shown as a map of seismic
landslide hazards. The resulting hazard map was classified into four categories from very low to high level. 相似文献
