The unique survey in December 1998 mapped the entire western boundary area of the South China Sea(SCS),which reveals the three-dimensional structure and huge volume transport of the swift and narrow winter western boundary current of the SCS(SCSwwbc) in full scale. The current is found to flow all the way from the shelf edge off Hong Kong to the Sunda Shelf with a width around 100 km and a vertical scale of about 400 m. It appears to be the strongest off the Indo-China Peninsula, where its volume transport reached over 20×10~6 m~3/s. The current is weaker upstream in the northern SCS to the west of Hong Kong. A Kuroshio loop or detached eddy intruded through the Luzon Strait is observed farther east where the SCSwwbc no more exists. The results suggest that during the survey the SCSwwbc was fed primarily by the interior recirculation of the SCS rather than by the"branching" of the Kuroshio from the Luzon Strait as indicated by surface drifters, which is likely a near-surface phenomenon and only contributes a minor part to the total transport of the SCSwwbc. In this work, the possible exploitation of fiber-reinforced composites in the context of maritime transportation of compressed natural gas (CNG) is investigated. In addition to a more conventional steel configuration, two different fiber materials, carbon and glass, are considered as construction materials for pressure vessels (PVs) to be stored on board ships, with thickness optimized by FEM analysis.The considered scenario is represented by the transportation of CNG from an offshore well to a terminal on shore. Fleets of ships carrying CNG in pressure vessels manufactured with the investigated materials are generated by means of a ship synthesis model (SSM) software and compared on the basis of technical and economical indicators.The choice of the construction material influences considerably the weight of the PVs, which represent a major item of total ship weight and reflects directly on the general transport performances in terms of resistance, seakeeping and reliability in the service. On the other hand, capital as well as operating expenditures are considerably affected by the choice. When exploring the design space, the ship synthesis model is able, at a preliminary stage of the design, to account for the various technical and economical aspects, their implications and relationships. Results are presented of computations carried out in a specific case, identified by the annual gas production and other characteristics of the well terminal and a cruising route for the ships. The comparison is carried out on the basis of the cost per transported unit of gas and of the percentage of success in the transportation process. The computations show that the choice of the PV material has a key influence on the results in terms of optimal number, dimensions and speed of the ships.  相似文献

A time-domain simulation method based on potential flow model has been developed to investigate the berthing problem between two floating bodies in wave. The boundary value problem is formulated with respect to an earth-fixed coordinate system because the relative positions of the two vessels continuously change during the berthing operation. The classical finite element method is used to solve the Laplace equation in the fluid domain with moving boundary. The linearized free-surface boundary conditions are integrated in time by applying 4th-order Adams–Bashforth–Moulton method. A simple re-mesh algorithm with local and global mesh systems is introduced to update mesh by considering large horizontal movement of the berthing vessel. The developed numerical method is used to investigate the berthing problem between a FPSO and shuttle tanker in waves. The focus is on the wave-induced motion response during the berthing process. The characteristics of the motion responses in berthing operation are examined with various wave frequencies, berthing speeds and wave headings.  相似文献

河势是影响河口水动力和盐水入侵基本因子。本文利用20世纪50和70年代长江河口海图,数值化岸线和水深,结合2012年长江河口实测水深资料,分析长江河口自50年代以来的河势变化。长江河口为分汊河口,50年代仅为二级分汊,至70年代才形成三级分汊,四口入海的河势格局。70年代相比于50年代,北支淤浅严重,其上、中、下段容积变化分别为-64.13×106、-306.60×106和-639.27×106 m3,对应的变化率分别为-16.30%、-22.74%和-25.69%,均显著减小;南支的上、中、下段容积变化分别为-28.61×106、-35.69×106和126.43×106 m3,相应的变化率分别为-1.30%、-2.12%和4.36%;北港由于崇明浅滩和横沙浅滩的淤浅,下段容积明显减小,其上段和下段容积变化分别为109.21×106和-797.14×106 m3,对应的变化率分别为5.01%和-15.25%;南港上段由于河道淤浅容积减小,下段北由于铜沙浅滩被冲开形成北槽,导致水深变深、容积增加,其上段、下段北和下段南容积变化分别为-238.95×106、203.58×106和153.34×106 m3,对应的变化率分别为-8.96%、6.85%和3.26%。2012年相比于70年代,北支由于大量淤浅和围垦容积大幅减小,其上、中、下段容积变化分别为-199.06×106、-504.61×106和-654.12×106 m3,对应的变化率分别为-60.45%、-48.44%和-35.38%;南支的上、中、下段容积变化分别为92.34×106、193.01×106和-163.62×106 m3,相应的变化率分别为4.24%、11.73%和-5.40%;北港上段青草沙水库的围垦和下段横沙东滩的围垦造成面积和容积减小,其上段和下段容积变化分别为-154.64×106和-511.79×106 m3,对应的变化率分别为-6.75%和-11.55%;南港由于上段河道刷深而下段九段沙以及南汇边滩淤浅、围垦,导致其容积上段增加,下段减小,上段、下段北和下段南容积变化分别为136.39×106、-658.28×106和-1266.11×106 m3,对应的变化率分别为5.62%、-20.73%和-26.06%。  相似文献

在海底输油管道运行过程中,管道渗漏、穿孔及破碎都会导致原油泄漏。对溢油运动的轨迹及其扩散范围作出预报可为溢油事故的处理提供及时、准确的信息,指导应急处理的正确实施。基于工程实际需求,采用有限体积法,结合k-ε紊流模型,建立了海流作用下海底输油管道溢油扩散数值模型。采用VOF方法(volume of fluid method)追踪多相流界面。首先,将数值模拟结果与Fan的实验值及Zheng和Yapa的数值结果进行了对比,验证数值模型的可靠性;其次,研究了不同原油溢出速度与环境水深对不同时刻溢油轨迹、到达海面时间、横向漂移距离与海面扩散范围的影响。研究表明:随原油溢出速度增大,溢油到达海面时间逐渐减小,溢油横向漂移距离与海面扩散范围则逐渐增大;随环境水深增大,溢油到达海面时间逐渐增大,且其变化接近线性分布。  相似文献

This paper presents a potential based boundary element method for solving a nonlinear free surface flow problem for a ship moving with a uniform speed in finite depth of water. The free surface boundary condition is linearized by the systematic method of perturbation in terms of a small parameter up to third order. The surfaces are discretized into flat quadrilateral elements and the influence coefficients are calculated by Morino's analytical formula. Dawson's upstream finite difference operator is used in order to satisfy the radiation condition. The second order solution gives better result than the first or third order solution. So the present method with the second order solution can be adopted as a powerful tool for the hydrodynamic analysis of the thin ship in finite depth of water.  相似文献

A statistical model is developed to predict wave overtopping volume and rate of extreme waves on a fixed deck. The probability density function for the volume and rate of overtopping water are formulated based on the truncated Weibull distribution with the assumption of local sinusoidal profile for small amplitude waves. Sensitivity to the wave nonlinearity parameter and deck clearance is discussed. The statistical model is compared to laboratory data of the instantaneous free surface elevation measured in front of a fixed deck, and overtopping volume and overtopping rate measured at the leading edge of the deck. The statistical theory compared well with the measured exceedance probability seaward of the deck. The model prediction of the exceedance probability of deck overtopping gave qualitatively good agreement for large overtopping values.  相似文献

The title problem is solved in the case where uniform applied loading is present at the plate outer boundary. Two independent solutions are obtained: the optimized Rayleigh–Ritz method and the finite element algorithmic procedure. Good engineering agreement is shown to exist. The proposed analytical procedure is convenient from a designer's viewpoint. Admittedly exact analytical solutions can be found in terms of Bessel functions, the procedure being rather complex from an engineering viewpoint.  相似文献

海岸带是陆地与海洋相交的区域,受到多种自然和人为因素的影响,进行合理的海岸分类对于科学认识、合理开发、有效管理和保护海岸带资源至关重要。本文回顾海岸带分类的研究历程,探讨不同分类方案的划分依据,并强调海岸带的多维性和复杂性。从早期的地理地貌特征划分到现代的综合性海岸分类体系,海岸带分类方案不断演变,并受到各个时代的资料积累、知识体系、观测技术及制图展示效果等方面的深刻影响。不同国家和地区的学者在分类方案上存在一定的差异,体现了各地的地理地质背景、研究重点、开发利用方式等方面的特点,也隐含着研究人员的观察视角。主要源于陆地的物质属性和主要源于海洋的能量条件,越来越成为海岸分类的重要指标。人类活动对海岸带的影响不容忽视,人工海岸的比例已经迅速上升,但在海岸带分类体系中的研究仍有所欠缺,原因包括世界观、方法论和价值观等多个层面。建议从海岸动力作用环境和沉积物供应条件两方面考虑人类活动如何影响海岸带系统状态,而海岸带类别体系里可以增加人工建造和人工改造两个新的大类。通过深化分类方法和细化分类层次,同时向综合与细化两个方向推动海岸分类体系研究,可以更好地实现海岸带资源的保护与可持续利用,促进人与...  相似文献
