To remove chromate from a wastewater, a porous permeable reactive barrier system (PRBS), using pyrite and biotite, was adapted. This study included bench‐scale column experiments to evaluate the efficiency of the PRBS and investigate the reaction process. The total chromium concentration of the effluent from the biotite and pyrite columns reached the influent concentration of 0·10 mM after passing through more than 150 pore volumes (PVs) and 27 PVs respectively, and remained constant thereafter. The CrVI concentration in the effluent from the biotite column became constant at about 0·08 mM , accounting for approximately 80% of the influent concentration, after passing through 200 PVs. Moreover, in the pyrite column, the CrVI concentration remained at about 0·01 mM , 10% of the input level, after passing through 116 PVs. This shows that both columns maintained their levels of chromate reduction once the CrVI breakthrough curves (BTCs) had reached the steady state, though the steady‐state output concentration of total chromium had reached the influent level. The variances of the iron concentration closely followed those of the chromium. The observed data for both columns were fitted to the predicted BTCs calculated by CXTFIT, a program for estimating the solute transport parameters from experimental data. The degradation coefficient µ of the total chromium BTCs for both columns was zero, suggesting the mechanisms for the removal of chromate limit the µ of the CrVI BTCs. The CrVI degradation of the pyrite column (6·60) was much greater than that of the biotite column (0·27). In addition, the CrVI retardation coefficient R of the pyrite column (253) was also larger than that of the biotite column (125). The R values for the total chromium BTCs from both columns were smaller than those of the CrVI BTC. Whereas the total chromium BTC for the pyrite column showed little retardation (1·5), the biotite column showed considerable retardation (80). The results for the 900 °C heat‐treated biotite column were analogous to those of the control column (quartz sand). This suggests that the heat‐treated biotite played no role in the retardation and removal of hexavalent chromium. The parameters of the heat‐treated biotite were calculated to an R of 1·2 and µ of 0·01, and these values confirmed quantitatively that the heated biotite had little effect on the transport of CrVI. These solute transport parameters, calculated by CXTFIT from the data obtained from the column tests, can provide quantitative information for the evaluation of bench‐ or field‐scale columns as a removal technology for CrVI in wastewater or contaminated groundwater. 为了深入了解垃圾渗滤液对浅层地下水污染的机理,揭示不同龄期垃圾渗滤液在浅层地下水中多组分运移规律,文章以阜新市垃圾填埋场为研究对象,通过室内土柱对比实验,研究了不同龄期垃圾渗滤液在浅层地下水中多组分运移的机理和规律。结果表明不同龄期垃圾渗滤液在入渗过程中都会引起地下水不同程度的污染,且新鲜垃圾渗滤液较老龄垃圾渗滤液更易污染地下水,其污染机理主要为吸附、解析、溶解、沉淀和离子交换等水岩作用。研究结果为今后垃圾填埋场的治理和地下水的修复提供理论依据。 相似文献

天和永玄武岩为碧玄岩,至少可以划分出3种矿物共生组合类型。天和永玄武岩总体具有贫硅(w(SiO2)=43.97%~45.68%)、富碱(w(K2O+Na2O)=5.91%~7.65%)、富钾(w(K2O)=2.04%~2.89%)、高钛(w(TiO2)=2.18%~2.37%)、高Mg值(Mg#=68~76)的特征;稀土元素含量高(∑REE=(246.62~329.82)×10-6),稀土配分曲线呈右倾平滑直线,强烈富集轻稀土,轻重稀土强烈分馏((La/Yb)N>30),无明显的Eu(δEu=0.90~1.02)和Ce异常(δCe=0.96~1.00);强烈富集不相容元素,其中高场强元素(HFSE)Nb、Ta和Th出现峰值,具有近似OIB配分型式的特征;玄武岩富含相容元素Co((39.1~48.9)×10-6)、Ni((130~257)×10-6)、Cr((138~320)×10-6)。上述所有特征以及岩石结晶程度低、富含橄榄岩包体和少量捕虏晶、元素变异关系等均表明,天和永玄武岩是原生玄武岩质岩浆固结的产物。微量元素比值Ba/Rb(12~35)和碱金属的变化暗示源区可能遭受过流体的交代作用,源岩可能是富集的二辉橄榄岩。岩石成因模拟表明,形成天和永玄武岩的原生岩浆是在变压、部分熔融的条件下富集地幔源区岩石非实比熔融的产物,变压熔融柱穿切了Sp/Gt二辉橄榄岩相边界。岩浆形成于源区岩石的低度(约<5%)部分熔融,其中石榴石二辉橄榄岩部分熔融约为1%,尖晶石二辉橄榄岩部分熔融2%~5%。综合分析显示,源区部分熔融的触发机制是边际驱动的地幔对流,因而其形成深度大于东部的集宁玄武岩和汉诺坝玄武岩。 相似文献

By means of SEDEX, ASPILA and XRF, depth-dependent changes of different phosphorus forms in sediment cores from specific areas of the offshore Changjiang Estuary (Yangtze Estuary) in 1998 were analyzed. Results show that contents of total phosphorus (TP), organic-phosphorus (OP) and iron-phosphorus (Fe-P) decreased down-core, while those of absorbed-phosphorus (Ad-P) andcalcium-phosphorus (Ca-P) increased. The distribution tendency of detritus-phosphorus (De-P) is not obvious. Results also show that TP, Fe-P and OP contents at Meso station of the Changjiang Estuary and Hangzhou Bay are higher than that of the other stations. This suggests that the pollutants carried by the Changjiang and the Qiantang rivers from inland have affected the natural environment inoffshore area. TP, Fe-P and OP contents of each station become higher from bottom to top, indicating the amount of the terrestrial pollutants carried by the two rivers has been enhanced since the last 30-50 years. Ad-P, Ca-P, Fe-P and OP are all active phosphorus in sediments, and their re-cycling in sediment is closely related to each other. 相似文献
