According to data obtained in the Bering Sea during the 4th Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition, the distribution of dissolved oxygen(DO) was studied, causes of its maximum concentration were discussed, and the relationships between DO and other parameters, such as salinity, temperature, and chlorophyll a were analyzed. The results showed DO concentration ranged from 0.53 to 12.05 mg/L in the Bering Sea basin. The upper waters contained high concentrations and the maximum occurred at the depth range from 20 to 50 m. The DO concentration decreased rapidly when the depth was deeper than 200 m and reached the minimum at the depth range from 500 to 1 000 m, and then increased slowly with the depth increasing but still kept at a low level. On the shelf, the DO concentration ranged from 6.53 to 16.63 mg/L with a mean value of 10.75 mg/L, and showed a characteristic of decreasing from north to south. The DO concentration was higher in the area between the Bering Sea and Lawrence Island and was lower in the southeast and southwest of Lawrence Island at the latitude of 62°N. The formation of maximum DO concentration was concerned with phytoplankton photosynthesis and formation of the themocline. To the south of Sta. B07 in the Bering Sea basin, the oxygen produced by photosynthesis permeated to the deeper water and the themocline made it difficult to exchange vertically, and to the north of Sta. B07, the maximum DO concentration occurred above the themocline due to phytoplankton activities. On the shelf, the oxygen produced by phytoplankton photosynthesis gathered at the bottom of the thermocline and formed the DO maximum concentration. In the Bering Sea basin, the DO and salinity showed a weak negative correlation(r=0.40) when the salinity was lower than 33.1, a significant negative correlation(r=0.92) when the salinity ranged from 33.1 to 33.7, and an irregular reversed parabola(r=0.95) when the salinity was greater than 33.7.  相似文献

This study, using laboratory experiments and scaling analysis, evaluates the influence of geothermal heating on global oceanic circulation. Upon a well-developed large-scale convective flow, an additional heat flux perturbation δF/F is employed. The increments of flow and thermal properties, including eddy diffusivity KT, flow velocity V and bottom temperature Tb, are found to be independent of the applied heat flux F. Together with the scaling analysis of convective flow at different configurations, where the flow is thermally driven in the relatively low or extremely high turbulent thermal convections or the horizontal convection, the variances of flow properties, δKT/KT and δV/V, are found to be close to 0.5% and 0.75% at δF/F=2%. This means that the small heat flux perturbation plays a negligible role in the global convective flow. However, δTb/ΔT is found to be 1.5% at δF/F=2%, which would have a significant effect in the local region. The results might provide a clue to understanding the influence of geothermal heating on global oceanic circulation. It is expected that geothermal heating will contribute less than 1% in turbulent mixing and volume flux to global oceanic circulation, so its influence can be negligible in this situation. However, when it comes to the local environment, the influence of geothermal heating cannot be ignored. For example, temperature increases of about 0.5°C with geothermal heating would have a significant effect on the physical environments within the benthic boundary layer.  相似文献

Debris flows are among the most common geological disasters in China,and have been particularly frequent in Sichuan Province since the Wenchuan earthquake on 12 May 2008.The construction of debris flow drainage channels is a countermeasure used to distribute debris flow fans,and these channels play a critical role in the mitigation and prevention of damage resulting from debris flows.Under field conditions,the useful life of drainage channels can be greatly shortened as a result of strong abrasions to the drainage structure caused by the debris flow.Field investigations have shown that the types of damage to drainage channels include(a) erosion caused by hyper-concentrated silt flow,(b) impact fractures and foundation scour at the groundsills of the drainage channel,(c) destruction of the drainage channel outlet,and(d) destruction of the drainage channel caused by debris flow abrasion.In addition,based on the destruction of the drainage channel during the debris flow drainage process,a new type of drainage channel with energy dissipation components was proposed and applied in a steep,narrow gully for debris flow mitigation.Moreover,design and engineering repair recommendations for drainage channels are provided as a reference for repairing the damage to the channel.The results can provide an important reference for the effective repair and optimal design of drainage channels.  相似文献

利用开顶箱薰气室,设置正常大气CO2浓度(Ambient CO2,350 umol·mol-1)和高CO2浓度(Elevated CO2,700μmol·mol-1)2个水平和不施氮(NN,0 gN·m-2)、常氮(MN,5 gN·m-2)、高氮(HN,15 gN·m-2)3个氮素水平,研究CO2浓度升高和氮肥施用对三江平原草甸小叶章湿地(Calamagrostis angustifolia)土壤活性有机碳及微生物的影响。结果表明,CO2浓度升高条件下,土壤微生物量碳(MBC)和溶解性有机碳(DOC)呈增加趋势,易氧化有机碳(LOC)和水溶性碳水化合物碳(CHC)的变化因生长期和氮素水平而异。CO2浓度升高,小叶章湿地土壤微生物数量在不同的生长时期呈现不同的响应趋势。细菌数量在腊熟期增幅最大,为31.4%;真菌数量在腊熟期增加16.6%,成熟期增加24.3%;放线菌数量没有发生明显变化。相关分析表明,细菌、真菌和放线菌数量都与土壤微生物量碳呈显著相关。湿地土壤中的活性有机碳可以为土壤微生物提供更多的有效能量,从而加快湿地生态系统养分循环过程。  相似文献
