Scientists have long debated the relative importance of tropospheric photochemical production versus stratospheric influx as causes of the springtime tropospheric ozone maximum over northern mid-latitudes. This paper investigates whether or not stratospheric intrusion and photochemistry play a significant role in the springtime ozone maximum over Northeast Asia,where ozone measurements are sparse.We examine how tropospheric ozone seasonalities over Naha(26°N,128°E),Kagoshima(31°N,131°E),and Pohang(36°N,129°E),which are located on the same meridional line,are related to the timing and location of the jet stream.The ozone seasonality shows a gradual increase from January to the maximum ozone month,which corresponds to April at Naha,May at Kagoshima,and June at Pohang.In order to examine the occurrence of stratospheric intrusion,we analyze a correlation between jet stream activity and tropospheric ozone seasonality.From these analyses,we did not find any favorable evidence supporting the hypothesis that the springtime enhancement may result from stratospheric intrusion.According to trajectory analysis for vertical and horizontal origins of the airmass,a gradual increasing tendency in ozone amounts from January until the onset of monsoon was similar to the increasing ozone formation tendency from winter to spring over mainland China,which has been observed during the build-up of tropospheric ozone over Central Europe in the winter-spring transition period due to photochemistry.Overall,the analyses suggest that photochemistry is the most important contributor to observed ozone seasonality over Northeast Asia.  相似文献

The I-atom sensitised decomposition of ozone in air at 1 atm pressure and ambient temperature has been investigated. Iodine atoms were produced by photolysis of I2 using visible light or of CH3I using ultraviolet light. In both cases, the quantum yield for O3 decomposition was 1.25 (±0.11) per I atom. An important role is proposed for the self-reaction of IO radicals leading to higher oxides of iodine, IO+IO(+M)I2O2(+M)higher oxides, which predominated over the bimolecular reaction leading to regeneration of I atoms, IO+IO2I+O2, with k 2a/k 2b4. Simple computer modelling calculations indicate that reaction (2a) may be important in determining the fate of photolabile iodine species in the atmosphere. The consequences for the behaviour of radioiodine releases are also discussed.  相似文献

The characteristics of spatial and temporal distribution of tropospheric NO2 column density concen-tration over China are presented,on the basis of measurements from the satellite instruments GOME and SCIAMACHY.From these observations,monthly averaged tropospheric NO2 variations are deter-mined for the period of 1997 to 2006.The trend and seasonal cycle are also investigated.The possible source of tropospheric NO2 over megacity area is discussed in this paper.The results show a large growth of tropospheric NO2 over eastern China,especially above the industrial areas with a fast eco-nomical growth,such as,Yangtze Rive Delta region and Pearl River Delta region because of the prominent anthropogenic activity.There is a rapid increase of tropospheric NO2 over megacities in China.For instance,Shanghai had a linear significant increase in NO2 columns of ~20% per year(ref-erence year 1997) in the period of 1997―2006,which is the rapidest increase among all the selected cities.The seasonal pattern of the NO2 concentration shows a difference between the east and west in China.In the eastern part of China,an expected winter maximum in seasonal cycle is found because of the prominent anthropogenic activity and meteorological conditions.In the western part this cycle shows a NO2 maximum in summer time,which is attributed to natural emissions,especially soil emissions and lightning.A quickly increasing vehicle population may contribute to the increase of tropo-spheric NO2 over megacities in China for the remarkable correlation for vehicle population with tropospheric NO2.  相似文献

C2–C6 Nonmethane hydrocarbons (NMHC) and radioactive continental tracers were measured during two oceanographic cruises, in June 1982 in the Mediterranean and Red Sea, and in November 1982 across the North Atlantic and South Pacific oceans. Typical concentrations in marine atmosphere are between 0.05 and 0.2 ppbv. Owing to their similar lifetimes, propane and radon-222 are found to be well correlated. This relationship establishes that propane is mainly produced over lands and enables us to estimate its continental source strength at about 60×106 tons of carbon per year.Also at Université de Picardie  相似文献

An automated molybdenum oxide annular denuder system (MOADS) has been developed for gas phase ambient ammonia measurements. This system combines high sensitivity (detection limit <50 pptv) with continuous sampling, moderate collection times (30 min) and automated operation. The present denuder design confers two important advantages over the tungsten oxide coated quartz denuder tubes used previously for nitric acid and ammonia measurements. First, the present denuders use oxidized metal substrates and are easier to fabricate and more durable than denuders made from metal oxide coated glass or quartz tubes. Second, molybdenum (VI) oxide surfaces are used which oxidize a reproducible fraction of the adsorbed NH3 directly to NO upon desorption eliminating the need for a secondary catalytic converter. Laboratory tests of the collection/recovery characteristics of annular denuders made from both the (IV) and (VI) oxides of tungsten and molybdenum are described and preliminary results from field tests are presented.  相似文献

分别利用全球气压气温模型GPT和GPT2处理相同的连续观测站数据。对比两组测站位置估值(简称位置)发现,测站气压偏差所导致的先验天顶延迟偏差不能完全被延迟参数所吸收,导致测站垂向位置出现偏差,且偏差的大小与测站纬度及数据处理中所采用的数据权重有关。测站气温偏差对测站位置的影响可忽略不计,但GPS定位结果的内符合精度随着测站气温的升高而降低。  相似文献

在传统的模型参数法反演大气折射率的基础上提出一种新的模型参数法,并建立一种新的估算对流层高度的方法。将探空产品计算的大气折射率视为真值,选择2016-07中国及周边区域8个IGS测站进行试算,统计结果显示,与传统的模型参数法相比,新的模型参数法反演的大气折射率更接近真值。  相似文献
