A THREE-DIMENSIONAL ELASTIC NESTED-GRID MESO-(β-γ)SCALE ATMOSPHERIC MODEL——PARTI:MODEL DESCRIPTION

A three-dimensional elastic nonhydrostatic mesoscale(β-γ)model with nested-grid is presented.It uses a set of fullequations in terrain-following coordinates as its basic dynamic frame,which is solved with a time-splitting algorithmfor acoustic and gravity waves.The model physical parameterization includes a K-theory subgrid eddy mixing for cloudand free atmosphere,a bulk planetary boundary layer parameterization,and three types of sofisticated cloudmicrophysics schemes with double-parameters for hail-bearing clouds,warm clouds and snowing clouds respectively.The model is designed to be used flexibly for simulations of a variety of meso-and small-scale atmospheric processes,and can be improved as a regional and local operational NWP system in future.     

Distance estimate and progenitor characteristics of SN 2005cs in M51

We present the excitation energies and lifetimes for the  3 s 3 p 3 d  ⁴ F  _7/2,9/2  levels for five aluminium-like ions of the iron group. Apart from the wavelengths, this also includes the transition probabilities and branching ratios for the electric-dipole allowed (E1) and forbidden (M1, E2, M2) lines into the energetically lower lying levels of the  3 s ²3 d , 3 s 3 p ²  and  3 s 3 p 3 d   configurations. Applying systematically enlarged multiconfiguration Dirac–Fock (MCDF) wavefunctions, here the effects of relativity and the electron–electron correlation are treated within the same (computational) model.     

基于荧光原理的叶绿素a传感器校准方法研究

利用传感器对水体叶绿素a 浓度进行原位测量是获取实时、连续、长时间序列数据的重要手段。本文在对RBR 传感器和ECO（Environmental Characterization Optics）传感器进行原理分析和线性度、稳定性、重复性等基本性能测试的基础上，利用单一藻种培养液和2020年南海北部海域现场数据校准传感器，并对新的传感器校准系数进行验证。结果表明：两台传感器使用新系数比原出厂系数的叶绿素a 浓度测量准确度有明显提高。RBR 传感器现场数据校准系数的计算结果与叶绿素a 标准值误差最小，平均绝对误差从1.93 μg/L 减小到0.35 μg/L，平均相对误差从55.1%减小到10.9%；ECO 传感器藻液系数明显优于出厂系数和现场数据校准系数的计算结果，平均绝对误差从1.76 μg/L 减小到0.59 μg/L，平均相对误差从50.3%减小到15.1%。传感器测量准确度的提高，可为海洋环境监测、海洋生态灾害预警等工作获取真实可靠数据提供支撑。     

Origin of short period comets

Reasons for interest in the origin of short-period comets and the difficulties of computing their long-term dynamcal evolution are reviewed. The relative advantages of a source region in an extended inner core of the Oort cloud or a compact comet belt just beyond the planetary system are finely balanced, and it is premature to consider the problem solved. A complication is that some comets belonging to the Jupiter family may be part of a time-dependent system, possibly the remains of a giant comet such as Chiron which could have been part of the system 104 yr ago. The origin of short-period comets plays a pivotal role in many areas of solar system science: planet formation, the source of water (possibly life) on the terrestrial planets, the cratering record on the terrestrial planets and satellites of the outer planets, and the environmental impact posed by massive bodies and their decay products in the Earth's near-space environment.

Transport and Housing Security in the Klang Valley, Malaysia

This paper explores links between transport and housing security issues for the urban poor using the example of the Klang Valley in Malaysia. The interface between these issues is identified as a gap in the literature, including policy debates, on both housing and transport. A number of linkages are shown to be important and likely to be relevant in many cities of the South, especially those with rapid motorisation and large numbers of "squatters". A simple framework for understanding these linkages is presented. Key examples include displacement to make way for transport infrastructure and the impact on transport problems for the poor of policies affecting the location of urban poor housing, including relocation sites and transit accommodation. The case study of the Klang Valley is used to illustrate and test the relevance of a focus on this issue and the utility of the conceptual framework. Some policy implications of the investigation and case study are suggested.
