利用MODIS卫星数据.对雾与目标物(水、云、雪、地物)分别进行采样.得到光谱曲线并进行光谱分析,提出了有利于白天和夜问平流雾检测的波段.利用该波段选择结果.采用阈值法对平流雾进行检测并得到地面数据验证。结果表明,MODIS数据在雾检测方面具有很大的潜力。 相似文献

The analytical solutions of the PBL wind distribution under the equilibrium of four forces including both horizontal and vertical advections are obtained in this paper using small parameter method. Utilizing this simple PBL model, we also compute the wind spirals of a certain circular vortex over level ground and over a west-east ranged mountain, respectively. In this paper we have developed a new method for measuring in situ soil permeability, which is based on the theory of radial gas advection through an isotropic porous medium. The method was
tested in the laboratory and at several locations on the island of Vulcano (Aeolian Islands, Italy). It consists of a special
device which generates a gas source at a depth of 50 cm and it permits measurement of the relative induced pressure in nearby
soil at different depths. The characteristic error of the method was less than 10%.
Furthermore, soil permeability measurements were carried out in the island of Vulcano during different periods of the year
(between May 2000 and June 2001). A strong decrease in permeability in the upper layers of the soil during and after rainfall
was noted, with very poor correlations between the spatial

The Ghouri area in southwest Iran exposes a cross section through the Zagros orogenic belt. The area provides an opportunity to investigate quantitative finite strain (Rs), kinematic vorticity number (Wk), proportions of pure shear and simple shear components, sense of shear indicators, steeply plunging lineations, and other moderate to steeply plunging stretching lineations in a transpressional zone. Based on a classical strain analysis of deformed microfossils with oblate strain ellipsoid shape, the Zagros orogenic belt is classified as a pure-shear dominated zone of transpression, but asymmetry of shear-sense indicators suggests that a significant component of simple shear was involved along the deformation zone boundaries. The long axes of the microfossils and stretched pebbles of a deformed conglomerate were used to indicate the stretching direction in this zone. The stretching lineations have a steep to moderate plunge but a constant strain magnitude. Characteristics of dextral inclined transpressional kinematics in the Zagros continental collision zone were quantified and indicate an estimated k-value < 1, an angle between the maximum horizontal axis of the instantaneous strain ellipsoid and the zone boundary (θ = 32°), asymmetrical dextral shear-sense indicators, and an angle of relative plate motion (α = 25°). 相似文献

With the existence of eight substantial islands in the Southern California Bight, the oceanic circulation is significantly affected by island wakes. In this paper a high-resolution numerical model (on a 1 km grid), forced by a high-resolution wind (2 km), is used to study the wakes. Island wakes arise due both to currents moving past islands and to wind wakes that force lee currents in response. A comparison between simulations with and without islands shows the surface enstrophy (i.e., area-integrated square of the vertical component of vorticity at the surface) decreases substantially when the islands in the oceanic model are removed, and the enstrophy decrease mainly takes place in the areas around the islands. Three cases of wake formation and evolution are analyzed for the Channel Islands, San Nicolas Island, and Santa Catalina Island. When flows squeeze through gaps between the Channel Islands, current shears arise, and the bottom drag makes a significant contribution to the vorticity generation. Downstream the vorticity rolls up into submesoscale eddies. When the California Current passes San Nicolas Island from the northwest, a relatively strong flow forms over the shelf break on the northeastern coast and gives rise to a locally large bottom stress that generates anticyclonic vorticity, while on the southwestern side, with an adverse flow pushing the main wake current away from the island, positive vorticity has been generated and a cyclonic eddy detaches into the wake. When the northward Southern California Countercurrent passes the irregular shape of Santa Catalina Island, cyclonic eddies form on the southeastern coast of the island, due primarily to lateral stress rather than bottom stress; they remain coherent as they detach and propagate downstream, and thus they are plausible candidates for the submesoscale “spirals on the sea” seen in many satellite images. Finally, the oceanic response to wind wakes is analyzed in a spin-up experiment with a time-invariant wind that exhibits strips of both positive and negative curl in the island lee. 利用一种具有任意阶精度的一般显式有限差分公式构造出高精度迎风偏斜格式,并利用 Fourier分析法评估了这些迎风偏斜格式的耗散误差与频散误差。结果表明,偶阶精度格式的数值相速度快于实际相速度,而奇阶精度格式的数值相速度慢于实际相速度。并且,偶阶精度格式的耗散误差与频散误差低于相邻的奇阶精度格式。为了检验这些格式的计算性能,在一维问题上进行了应用。首先,考虑恒定风场条件下的一维平流试验。主要选择两种不同的初始条件来评价数值格式的精度,这两种试验问题分别是高斯函数、方波函数。试验结果表明,随着数值格式精度的提高,数值格式的误差逐渐减小。而对于高于六阶精度的格式来说,改进的程度并不是很大。其次,应用各阶格式到具有两种不同初始条件的无粘Burgers方程。数值结果表明,随着数值格式阶数的增加,数值结果也得到了明显改进。而对于高于六阶精度的格式来说,进一步的变化并不明显。总之,在兼顾效率与精度条件下六阶迎风偏斜格式是最好的。 相似文献

Small-scale faults with associated drag folds in brittle-ductile rocks can retain detailed information on the kinematics and amount of deformation the host rock experienced. Measured fault orientation (α), drag angle (β) and the ratio of the thickness of deflected layers at the fault (L) and further away (T) can be compared with α, β and L/T values that are calculated with a simple analytical model. Using graphs or a numerical best-fit routine, one can then determine the kinematic vorticity number and initial fault orientation that best fits the data. The proposed method was successfully tested on both analogue experiments and numerical simulations with BASIL. Using this method, a kinematic vorticity number of one (dextral simple shear) and a minimum finite strain of 2.5–3.8 was obtained for a population of antithetic faults with associated drag folds in a case study area at Mas Rabassers de Dalt on Cap de Creus in the Variscan of the easternmost Pyrenees, Spain. 相似文献
