A deeper understanding of the sediment characteristics associated with rock fragment content can improve our knowledge of the erosional processes and transport mechanisms of sediments on steep rocky slopes. This research used simulated rainfall experiments lasting for 1 h at a rate of 90 mm h−1 and employed 5 × 1 × 0.4 m parallel troughs filled with purple soils with different rock fragment volumetric contents (0, 5, 10, 20, 30 and 40%) on a 15° slope gradient. For each simulated event, runoff and sediment were sampled at 1- and 3-min intervals, respectively, to study, in detail, the temporal changes in the size distributions of the eroded sediments. The results show that sediment concentrations, soil erosion rates and soil loss ratios significantly decreased as rock fragment content increased for rock fragment contents from 0 to 40% in purple soils. During the transportation process, clay particles often formed aggregates and were then transported as larger particles. Silt particles were more likely to be transported as primary particles with a low degree of sediment aggregation. Sand-sized particles, which constituted a greater proportion of the original soil than the eroded sediments, were formed from other fine particles and transported as aggregates rather than as primary particles. Suspension-saltation, which mainly transports fine particles of 0.02–0.05 mm and coarse particles larger than 0.5 mm in size, was the most important transport mechanism on steep rocky slopes. The results of this study can help to explain the inherent laws of erosional processes on steep rocky slopes and can provide a foundation for improving physical models of soil erosion. © 2019 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Soil susceptibility to detachment and transport sub-processes of erosion is generally controled by the aggregate breakdown mechanism. Measuring particle size and aggregation to the estimate erodibility potential of soils is important under erosive rainfall conditions. The Aggregate Size Distribution (ASD) is one of the most important determinants of soil structure along with soil organic matter content for describing the efficiency of applied, sustainable management strategies. This study aimed to compare the performances of three different aggregate size distribution models to predict the characteristic aggregate size parameter (median diameter, D50) for eroded sediment from interrill erosion processes of Rain- Splash Transport (RST) and Raindrop Impacted Flow Transport (RIFT). The ASDs of 1143 collected sediment samples from the RST and RIFT processes were measured and modeled by the Log-normal, Fractal, and Weibull approaches. The D50 value, as a characteristic parameter for aggregate size distributions, derived from the cumulative ASD curve was compared for soils from different land use types and different slope and rainfall intensity conditions. The performance of each model was evaluated using the Mean Square Error (MSE) and Coefficient of Determination (R^2). The Weibull approach was the most accurate model showing the best fit with the lowest MSE values (0.0002 ≤MSE≤ 0.0048) and having the greatest R2 values (0.936≤ R^2≤ 0.998) when compared with the Log-normal and Fractal models. Herewith, for semi-arid land use and soil, specific shape and scale parameters for the Weibull distribution, the respective ASDs were successfully re-generated for modeling the eroded sediment of the simulated RST and RIFT interill processes.  相似文献

Shielded vortices consist of a core of potential vorticity (PV) of a given sign surrounded (or shielded) by a layer of opposite-signed PV. Such vortices have specific properties and have been the focus of numerous studies, first in two dimensional geometries (where PV is just the vertical component of the vorticity vector) and in geophysical applications (mostly in layered models). The present paper focuses on three-dimensional, spheroidal shielded vortices. In particular, we focus on vortical structures whose overall volume-integrated PV is zero. We restrict attention to vortices of piecewise uniform PV in the present research. We first revisit the problem within the quasi-geostrophic model, then we extend the results to the non-hydrostatic regime. We show that the stability of the structure depends on the ratio of PV between the inner core and the outer shield. In particular it depends on the polarity of the core and of the wavenumber of the azimuthal mode perturbed.  相似文献

Sedimentation – including erosion, transport, and deposition of coarse-grained particles – is a primary and growing environmental, engineering, and agricultural issue around the world. Soil erosion occurs when the hydrodynamic force induced by flowing water exceeds the geotechnical resistance of soils, as measured by critical shear stress for initiation of soil-particle motion. Even though various quantitative methods have been suggested with respect to different types of soil, the most widely accepted formula to estimate critical shear stress for coarse-grained soil is a direct function of the median grain size of the soil particles; however, the erosion resistance of soils also varies with other geotechnical properties, such as packing density, particle shape, and uniformity coefficient. Thus, in this study, a combined rolling–lift model for particle detachment was derived based on theoretical analysis. A series of experimental flume tests were conducted with specimens prepared with standard soil types, as well as laboratory-prepared mixtures of coarse-grained soil to validate the theoretical model and determine the effect of other geotechnical properties on the erosion characteristics of coarse grains, coupled with the effect of median particle size. The results indicated that the median grain size is the primary variable determining the resistance of coarse grains, but the critical shear stress also varies with the packing density of the soil matrix. In addition, angular particles show more erosion resistance than rounded particles, and the erosion potential of a soil decreased when the grain is well graded (higher value of uniformity coefficient). Additionally, regression analysis was performed to quantify the effect of each parameter on the critical shear stress of coarse grains. © 2020 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

粒度和磁化率记录的毛乌素沙地东缘全新世气候变化   总被引:3,自引:2,他引:1  
通过对毛乌素沙地东缘大柳塔剖面地层沉积物粒度及磁化率特征的分析,结合光释光测年结果,探讨了毛乌素沙地全新世气候变化。结果表明:(1)剖面沉积物粒度组成以中砂、粗砂为主,古土壤中黏粒组分含量高(3.32%),风成砂中几乎不含黏粒组分(0.01%),粒度参数的平均粒径M_z和分选系数σ也表现为古土壤高值、风成砂低值;(2)磁化率在全剖面呈有规律的变化,低频、高频磁化率在古土壤中呈高值,湖沼相、弱成壤次之,风成砂最小;低频磁化率χlf与黏粒(<2μm)含量、平均粒径M_z呈显著正相关,垂向剖面上变化规律一致,指示了相似的气候环境意义;(3)毛乌素沙地在10.39 ka BP附近存在明显的3次冷干-暖湿气候波动; 10.39~9.34 ka BP,气候冷干,风沙活动盛行; 9.34~8.68 ka BP,冬季风衰退,夏季风增强,成壤作用强烈; 8.68~8.29 ka BP,气候寒冷干燥; 8.29~2.72 ka BP,气候整体温暖湿润,在6.55~3.80 ka BP达到鼎盛后转向冷干; 2.72~1.34 ka BP,冬季风占主导,沙丘活化,沙漠扩张; 1.34 ka BP至今,逐渐接近现代气候。毛乌素沙地的全新世气候变化是东亚冬、夏季风此消彼长作用下全球气候变化的区域响应。  相似文献

戈壁地表沉积物组分呈多峰态分布的特征,研究其全粒径分布模式是认识戈壁成因及形成过程的基础。目前粒度分布模式(对数正态分布、Weibull分布等)难以正确表达呈多峰态的沉积物粒度分布特征,本文利用单调递减函数P(d_i)=Cd_iexp(-d_i/Dc),对戈壁地表沉积物粒度的全粒径分布模式进行解析。结果表明:(1)该函数能够反映出戈壁地表沉积物组分的全粒径分布特征,拟合优度R^2>0.99,参数C值范围为52.64~166.75,μ为-0.083~0.108,Dc为0.103~2.336;(2)在分选作用下,以富沙组分为主的戈壁地表,跃移组分含量高,μ值、Dc值偏小,以富砾组分为主的戈壁地表,蠕移及风蚀残余组分含量高,μ值、Dc值偏大;(3)全粒径分布模式参数值可以揭示洪积扇戈壁的分选沉积特征,为解析戈壁地表的成因以及风蚀风积作用提供新的指标参数。  相似文献

土壤粒度是描述土壤性质的重要参数,研究农牧交错带土壤表层粒度对土壤质量和沙化程度评价具有科学意义。对不同沉积物类型及土地利用方式土壤表层(0~5 cm深度)粒度进行分析。结果表明:(1)沙黄土、覆沙黄土残积物、风化残积物中粉粒最多,其次为极细砂和细砂,这3个粒级含量之和表现为沙黄土(96.51%)>覆沙黄土残积物(88.29%)>风化残积物(77.58%);风成沙土壤表层以细砂(53.85%)和中砂(26.13%)为主。(2)平均粒径由小到大依次为沙黄土(4.78Φ)、覆沙黄土残积物(4.62Φ)、风化残积物(3.80Φ)、风成沙(2.46Φ);分选性由差到好依次为风化残积物、覆沙黄土残积物、沙黄土、风成沙;偏度呈现为正偏或极正偏;峰值表明风成沙(2.30)粒径分布最为集中。(3)同一地表沉积物中,砾石和极粗砂等粗颗粒在农田较多,粉粒在草地较多,极细砂在林地较多;风成沙中,粉粒在固定沙丘略多,细砂在半固定沙丘较多,砾石、极粗砂等粗颗粒仅在流动沙丘地中分布。(4)土壤颗粒分形维数表现为沙黄土(2.5242)>覆沙黄土残积物(2.4373)>风化残积物(2.3554)>风成沙(2.2815);地表沉积物类型不同,表层土壤分形维数与粒级含量相关性有着明显差异。  相似文献

通过搜集与计算得到江浙沪地区各城市淘宝男装、女装、童装及服装店铺整体的信用等级,同时借助集中程度分析、位序—规模法则及回归分析,探讨了该地区淘宝服装店铺信用等级的规模分布特征及其影响因素.结果 表明:1)除童装外,江浙沪地区淘宝服装店铺整体及男装、女装店铺,其信用等级的位序—规模分布满足齐夫法则;2)江浙沪地区淘宝服装店铺信用等级的空间分布形态满足对数正态分布模式;3)淘宝服装店铺信用等级的无标度区涵盖了江浙沪地区绝大部分城市,其规模分布结构相对优化;4)淘宝服装店铺的信用等级受信息化水平、物流指数、基础规模实力、文化教育水平、经济发展水平和区位优势度等因素的综合影响,但当地服装产业的工业集中度未能影响淘宝服装店铺的信用等级.  相似文献

In this study, we measured the droplet size distribution(DSD) and visibility of sea fog using a fog droplet spectrometer and visibility meter, respectively, during the July 23-August 3 and August 22-September 13 periods of the 2016 Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition. We calculated the visibility using the Mie theory and the DSD data and then compared the calculated with the observed visibility. The comparison shows that the deviations in the calculated visibility caused by DSD data sampling errors cannot be ignored. During navigation, wind and ship speeds tended to push or pull the sampled air and cause turbulence pulsation, which influenced the sampling of the fog droplet spectrometer. This influence is weak when the liquid water content(LWC) is high but becomes stronger as the LWC decreases. Taking the sailing speed and heading into consideration, the wind speed component parallel and perpendicular to the air inlet of the fog droplet spectrometer exhibit different laws in the deviation. By performing a fitting analysis of the calculated and observed visibilities under different wind speeds and wind directions, here, we present two sets of correction coefficients for the two wind-speed components and a method for correcting the calculated visibility. This correction method shows excellent results.  相似文献

受季风强迫, 珠江淡水羽在南海北部广泛形成羽流锋面, 而浮游植物群落通常在羽流锋面具有较高的生物量。南海北部毗邻珠江三角洲, 陆源输入的大气沉降对该海区生态系统影响显著。利用2019年3月珠江口西部的现场调查数据, 结合羽流锋面浮游植物群落分布的空间差异与大气沉降影响下的浮游植物群落生态学, 分析两者对南海北部陆架区浮游植物粒径群落以及微微型浮游植物的耦合影响。研究表明, 羽流锋面滨侧以小型(Micro)浮游植物群落为主, 锋面海侧以微微型(Pico)浮游植物群落为主, 而锋面区浮游植物群落粒径分布较为均匀, 且生物量高。锋面区域环境因子差异导致浮游植物群落分布呈现较大的空间差异。在锋面区域, 浮游植物群落生长总体受氮限制, 而聚球藻的生长则受磷限制。锋面区域浮游植物群落内部种群对营养盐的需求和响应有所差异。大气干、湿沉降的添加均能够促进不同粒径浮游植物群落的生长: 在锋面滨侧和锋面海侧, 小型浮游植物群落在添加气溶胶颗粒或雨水后比微型(Nano)和微微型浮游植物群落表现出更大的竞争优势, 生长率最高; 而锋面区域浮游植物群落表现出更强的适应性, 小型、微型、微微型浮游植物群落的生长速率均增加且无显著差异。大气沉降颗粒的添加显著促进了锋面系统微微型真核浮游植物与锋面滨侧聚球藻的生长, 在锋面区域以及锋面海侧则抑制了聚球藻和原绿球藻的生长。  相似文献
