喀斯特峰丛山区生态系统特征有:结构简单,稳定性差,恢复困难等。其生态系统脆弱性表现为:(1)裸露型喀斯特山地坡度陡峻,土壤贫脊,耕地少而分散,水土保持能力差;(2)地下水文网发育导致地表水大量漏失,地下水位埋藏深,难以开采利用;(3)植被树种单一,生长缓慢,资源开发过程中易产生耕作粗放,水土流失,石漠化等环境问题,对其治理和恢复过程应是渐进式的:水-土-林,即首先要科学开发利用各种水资源,同时合理规划利用土地资源,其次要加速生态系统重建,使其形成良性循环发展方式。 相似文献

Soil water repellency can enhance overland flow and erosion and may be altered by fire. The Christmas 2001 bushfires near Sydney allowed investigation of the relationship between fire severity, water repellency and hydrogeomorphological changes. For two sub-catchments with differences in fire severities in Nattai National Park, south-west of Sydney, this paper considers: (1) the links between fire severity based on SPOT image analysis and ground observation of fire severity and repellency; (2) the textural and organic/minerogenic characteristics of eroded sediment; and (3) erodibility, erosion and deposition of soils in both catchments. Ground surveys show that image analysis reflects well the degree of vegetation consumption by fire, but cannot adequately predict the degree of ground litter consumption, associated soil heating and repellency effects. Fire had varying effects on repellency, leaving it unchanged, destroying it or enhancing it, depending on the soil temperature reached. The main post-fire hydrogeomorphological changes have been widespread erosion and colluvial and alluvial deposition of topsoil in foot-slope locations and river systems, but only localised redistribution of the highly erodible, repellent sandy subsurface layer. The fire did not trigger major geomorphological change in the study area, but fires probably cause important topsoil and nutrient depletion and may also affect water quality. 相似文献

Given the difficulty of separating the three Picea species—P. glauca, P. mariana, and P. rubens (white, black, and red spruce)—in the pollen record, little is known about their unique histories in eastern North America following deglaciation. Here we report the first use of a classification tree analysis (CART) to distinguish pollen grains of these species. It was successfully applied to fossil pollen from eight sites in Maine and one in Massachusetts. We focused on the late glacial/early Holocene (14,000 to 8000 cal yr B.P.) and the late Holocene (1400 cal yr B.P. to present)—the two key periods since deglaciation when Picea has been abundant in the region. The result shows a shift from a Picea forest of P. glauca and P. mariana in the late glacial to a forest of P. rubens and P. mariana in the late Holocene. The small number of P. rubens grains identified from the late glacial/early Holocene samples (<5%) suggests that that species was either absent or rare at most of the sites. The occurrence and distribution of the three species do not reveal any geographic or temporal trend during late glacial time, but the data suggest that they were distributed in local patches on the landscape. The results of this study indicate that the recent population expansion of Picea (1000 to 500 cal yr B.P.) was likely the first time since deglaciation that P. rubens was abundant in the region. 相似文献

The Palisades Site is an extensive silt-loam bluff complex on the central Yukon River preserving a nearly continuous record of the last 2 myr. Volcanic ash deposits present include the Old Crow (OCt; 140,000 yr), Sheep Creek (SCt; 190,000 yr), PA (2.02 myr), EC (ca. 2 myr), and Mining Camp (ca. 2 myr) tephras. Two new tephras, PAL and PAU, are geochemically similar to the PA and EC tephras and appear to be comagmatic. The PA tephra occurs in ice-wedge casts and solifluction deposits, marking the oldest occurrence of permafrost in central Alaska. Three buried forest horizons are present in association with dated tephras. The uppermost forest bed occurs immediately above the OCt; the middle forest horizon occurs below the SCt. The lowest forest bed occurs between the EC and the PA tephras, and correlates with the Dawson Cut Forest Bed. Plant taxa in all three peats are common elements of moist taiga forest found in lowlands of central Alaska today. Large mammal fossils are all from common late Pleistocene taxa. Those recovered in situ came from a single horizon radiocarbon dated to ca. 27,000 14C yr B.P. The incongruous small mammal assemblage in that horizon reflects a diverse landscape with both wet and mesic environments. 相似文献

Observations of wind statistics within and above a Scots pine forest are comparedwith those predicted from an analytical second-order closure model. The roughnesssublayer (RSL) effects, and the influence of stability on similarity functions, arestudied using observations. The commonly accepted forms of similarity functionsdescribe the influence of diabatic effects above the RSL well. According to earlierstudies they are expected also to apply within the RSL. As an exception, the averagewind speed normalised with friction velocity was found to be invariant with stabilityclose to the canopy top under unstable conditions. Lagrangian stochastic trajectorysimulations were used to evaluate the influence of canopy turbulence profiles onfootprint prediction. The main uncertainty was found to arise from parameterisationof the random forcing term in the Lagrangian velocity equation. The influence ofdiabatic conditions was studied, and it was found that thermal stability affectssignificantly the footprint function above the forest canopy, but significantuncertainty exists because of uncertainties in the formulation of stability functions. 相似文献

In this paper we report the results of the analysis of two 60-min wave events that occurred in a boreal aspen forest during the 1994 BOREAS (Boreal Ecosystems-Atmosphere Study) field experiment. High frequency wind and temperature data were provided by three 3-D sonic anemometer/thermometers and fourteen fine-wire thermocouples positioned within and above the forest. Wave phase speeds, estimated from information revealed by spectral analysis and linear plane wave equations, are 2.2 and 1.3 m s-1 for the two events. The wavelengths are 130 m and 65 m respectively and are much larger than the vertical wave displacements. There is strong evidence from the present analysis and from the literature supporting our postulate that these waves are generated by shear instability. We propose that wind shear near the top of the stand is often large enough to reduce the gradient Richardson number below the critical value of 0.25 and thus is able to trigger the instability. The Ria Formosa lies in southern Portugal, extending for about 55 km. It is a true barrier island system, comprising mainland,
backbarrier lagoons, inlet deltas, barrier islands, barrier platforms and shoreface. Of the Ria Formosa system, which covers
a total area of 163 km2, 20 km2 are occupied by salinas and aquaculture ponds. The main water reservoir of thesalinas and the extensive aquaculture ponds behave like small lagoons where there are one or more openings to a tidal channel. These
small lagoons have the advantage of being easy to study and to model.
An ecological model was developed to estimate the potential production of the gilthead seabream in the Ria Formosa, in an
extensive aquaculture regime. This model was based on information concerning chemical and physical factors (forcing functions)
and secondary production estimates from four sites in the Ria Formosa with different environmental conditions, where extensive
aquaculture is practised. Published information on optimal growth parameters of the gilthead was used to build the model,
which was based on some assumptions concerning the detrimental effect of an excessive increase of salinity and other environmental
factors both on gilthead growth (one state variable) and on prey production (divided into two state variables), which is essentially
benthic macrofauna.
Reservoirs with low water renewal undergo large environmental fluctuations. The growth of gilthead or other fish can be difficult,
not only because of the adverse environmental conditions but also because of the low secondary production. The maximum yield
of fish is predicted to be less than 6 g m−2. In reservoirs where the water exchanges on almost every tide, the maximum yield of gilthead can be in excess of 22–25 g
m−2. Nevertheless, the high productivity of these sites in terms of secondary production of benthos and fish, as well as primary
production, can lead to oxygen depletion during the night or at day-break. An attempt to further improve fish production by
fertilisation or by adding food could provoke a rapid deterioration of the water quality and endanger all production. 相似文献

Acidification of groundwater lags behind acid deposition due to the relatively long water residence time in conjunction with
various buffering processes in the soil zone and deeper aquifer (chemical weathering, cation exchange, sulfate sorption, and
N uptake by the biomass). Extensive field data from eight forested catchments in the Bunter Sandstone of the Black Forest,
including results from water budget studies and hydrochemical analysis of stream and spring waters, were used to simulate
the future evolution of ground-water acidification with the MAGIC model. The present acid deposition exceeds the “critical
load” (here meaning buffering due to chemical weathering and protonation of organic acids) in six of eight catchments. Two
catchments are well buffered because they contain carbonate-bearing layers in the Upper Bunter sandstone. Transient buffering
(i.e., cation exchange, N uptake, the sulfate sorption) thus far prevents worse acidification, but this effect will decline
in the future. For one of the poorly buffered catchments (Seebach), a two-layer simulation was carried out, based on extensive
data from 10 years of measurements. Validation of the long-term simulations by hydrochemical and soil data was hampered by
strong annual variations but generally supported by paleolimnological studies. In the future, reductions in the S deposition
by 20% and the N deposition by 10% up to the year 2030 are assumed as the most probable scenario. N uptake through soil and
vegetation will come to an end as suggested by decreasing C/N ratios of the organic matter. This process is arbitrarily included
in the simulations. In the periglacial soil layer, acidification will decrease until the year 2030 and then approach a steady-state
condition. In the fractured aquifer, acidification will also proceed at a decreasing rate; however, sulfate desorption up
to the year 2130, the end of simulated period, will prevent earlier remediation. Despite a significant reduction in S deposition
since the mid-1980s, further efforts are necessary to reduce the emission of acidifying substances. Liming in the recharge
area is partially effective to ameliorate “shallow” groundwater but largely fails to ameliorate “deeper” groundwater in the
sandstone aquifer.

An experimental micrometeorological set-up was established at the CARBOEURO-FLUX site in Tharandt, Germany, to measure all relevant variables for the calculation of the vertical and horizontal advective fluxes of carbon dioxide. The set-up includes two auxiliary towers to measure horizontal and vertical CO2 and H2O gradients through the canopy, and to make ultrasonic wind measurements in the trunk space. In combination with the long-term flux tower an approximately even-sided prism with a typical side-length of 50 m was established. It is shown that under stable (nighttime) conditions the mean advective fluxes have magnitudes on the same order as the daily eddy covariance (EC) flux, which implies that they play a significant, but not yet fully understood, role in the carbon budget equation. The two advective fluxes are opposite and seem to cancel each other at night (at least for these measurements). During the day, vertical advection tends to zero, while horizontal advection is still present implying a flow of CO2 out of the control volume. From our measurements, a mean daily gain of 2.2 gC m–2 d–1 for the horizontal advection and a mean daily loss of 2.5 gC m–2d–1 for the vertical advection is calculated for a period of 20 days. However the large scatter of the advective fluxes has to be further investigated. It is not clear yet whether the large variability is natural or due to measurement errors and conceptual deficiencies of the experiment. Similar results are found in the few comparable studies. 相似文献
