We estimate Love wave empirical Green's functions from cross-correlations of ambient seismic noise to study the crust and uppermost mantle structure in Italy.Transverse-component ambient noise data from October 2005 through March 2007 recorded at 114 seismic stations from the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV) national broadband network,the Mediterranean Very Broadband Seismographic Network (MedNet) and the Austrian Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG) yield more than 2 000 Love wave group velocity measurements using the multiple-filter analysis technique.In the short period band (5-20 s),the cross-correlations show clearly one-sided asymmetric feature due to non-uniform noise distribution and high local activities,and in the long period band (20 s) this feature becomes weak owing to more diffusive noise distribution.Based on these measurements,Love wave group velocity dispersion maps in the 8-34 s period band are constructed,then the SH wave velocity structures from the Love wave dispersions are inverted.The final results obtained from Love wave data are overall in good agreement with those from Rayleigh waves.Both Love and Rayleigh wave inversions all reveal that the Po plain basin is resolved with low velocity at shallow depth,and the Tyrrhenian sea is characterized with higher velocity below 8 km due to its thin oceanic crust. 相似文献

用网格频散反演技术计算了155条瑞利面波混合频散数据,将中国大陆分为目前最小分格2°×2°,得到了中国西部及邻区深至80km地壳和上地幔顶部的三维剪切波SV速度结构。结果表明:(1)天山褶皱系地壳平均厚度为54km,上地壳平均速度为3.3km/s,下壳平均速度3.93km/s,上地幔盖层平均速度为4.64km/s,都偏大。北天山壳厚比天山薄,壳和上地幔盖层下均有低速层。(2)塔里木盆地中部地壳厚46km,到其边缘的昆仑山、天山地带壳厚增加到52~55km。壳内无低速层,壳平均速度很低,为3.49km/s,地表有9km的沉积层。(3)青藏高原莫霍面呈凹形,平均壳厚为67km,平均壳速度为3.58km/s。东西端存在壳内低速层,埋深为15~35km。(4)南北带为构造复杂的区域,莫霍面深度具有东高西低,南北两端高、中间低的特点,带内普遍存在壳内低速层。南北带从群速度、速度、莫霍面等深线都可看到明显的横向差异。(5)准噶尔盆地地壳厚47km,无壳内低速层,中地壳不明显。该区呈稳定的大陆壳结构。(6)柴达木盆地在正常速度的中壳顶部有一高速夹层,速度为3.72km/s,厚10km,上顶部埋深14km。 相似文献

In the present study the long period surface wave records of 238 wave-paths from 79 earthquakes within China and its adjacent
regions received by 30 seismic network stations are measured by using the improved match-filtering frequency-time analysis
technique and the grid dispersion inversion method to obtain the rayleigh pure-path dispersion values for 147 slant grids
of 4° × 4° in this area, then a three-dimensional shear wave velocity model of the crust and upper mantle beneath south China
area to a depth of 170 km is inversed.
It is found that there are obvious differences among the main structural units, and there are also certain differences among
the subordinate elements even in the individual unit. The crustal thickness of this area is ranging from 30 to 43 km, and
is getting thicker gradually from the east to the west. The average shear velocity of crust is ranging form 3.48 to 3.68 km/s
with the lowest in the northeast part and highest in the west part. No obvious crustal low velocity layer of large scale is
detected. There exist upper mantle low velocity zones in the most of south China area with the starting depth ranging from
75 to 106 km. The lowest shear velocity within the low velocity zones is about 4.28–4.38 km/s. Despite of the existing of
upper mantle low velocity zones beneath the most of south China area, the interfaces between the important layers are quite
clear, the variation of the bedding surfaces is very gentle, and the lateral changes measured in a larger scale of the underground
structure are rather small. It may indicate that the crustal and upper mantle structure of the main part of south China area
belongs to the relatively stable structure of the continental blocks except for the fringe areas such as the fold-faulted
region in the west part and the fault system along the southeastern coast which may belong to the tectonically active area.

In this paper, the authors present the results of both macroscopic and microscopic investigations on structure development created by repeated ice lensing in various loamy experiments. Experimental data are compared with observations performed on active forms in High Arctic and Alpine Mountain environments. Those observations are also compared with phenomena observed in fossil periglacial formations of Western Europe. Platy and short prismatic structure formation is bonded to the hydraulic and thermal conditions during ice segregation. When a long series of alternating freezing and thawing affects platy structures, the fabric evolves, also being influenced by slope and drainage conditions: cryoturbations, frostcreep, and gelifluction can appear. They are characterized by specific microfabrics which are better developed with an increasing number of cycles: this is clear in experiments where hydraulic and thermal parameters are better controlled. Vesicles are also a prominent characteristic of the surface horizon in experiments and arctic soils. The genesis of vesicles is discussed on the basis of new observations and is related to the mechanical collapse of frost-created aggregates under the mechanical work of soil air escape during soil saturation by water at thaw. 相似文献

This paper utilizes and expands on existing coupled BEM–FEM (finite element method) methods for the investigation of the effects of soil structure interaction (SSI) on both an un-retrofitted and seismically isolated typical bridge structure. A simple numerical model of the bridge and surrounding soil is formulated and excited by an earthquake excitation. Utilizing Newmark's β FEM solution method along with the closed form B-spline BIRF method, the structural damped period, composite damping ratio, pier relative displacement, and base shear demand are monitored. From these results, the effects of SSI on this structure are identified. Additionally, the importance of the relative rigidity between the soil-foundation system and the bridge structure is also investigated. The results of the studies indicate that the response of the complete structure system considered is affected by the inclusion of SSI effects. Furthermore, the efficiency of the isolation measures designed using fixed base conditions is decreased by considering SSI over a certain relative rigidity range that is quantified using the structure to soil-foundation natural frequency ratio. 相似文献

张弦梁屋盖结构自重轻,地震作用下的动力问题不是结构设计的控制因素,但是在风荷载作用下结构的动力响应较为显著,在设计中应给予足够重视。本文首先利用Matlab编程工具,模拟结构的风速时程曲线,然后利用有限元软件中的瞬态动力学分析模块对这种结构进行动力时程分析,讨论其在脉动风荷载作用下的动力响应,并将结果和频域法脉动风荷载的分析结果进行对比,验证了计算结构的可靠性。得到一些有意义的结论,供张弦梁结构的工程应用参考。 相似文献
