云物理参数化方案中,各种粒子通常采用Г谱分布函数n(D)=N0Dαexp(-λD)。双参数方案中谱参数截距N0和斜率λ通过预报给出,谱形参数α设为固定值。为了讨论谱形参数的作用,理论上分析了谱形参数取值对沉降过程和微物理源汇项的影响。利用MM5模式中增加的双参数显式云物理方案模拟了西北地区一次层状云降水过程,模拟针对雨滴谱的谱形参数rα不同取值分别做了试验。模拟结果基本符合理论分析,谱形参数rα变化时模拟出的地面降水和云的宏微观特征有差异。  相似文献

Micrometeorological data for wind and temperature from a 325 m high tower in Beijing City are analyzed by use of local similarity theory. Non-dimensional wind and temperature gradients, Фm and Фh, are determined by three techniques called, respectively, eddy-correlation, mean profiles and inertia-subrange cospectra (ISC) method for a wide range of atmospheric stratification from unstable to stable conditions. Average dissipation rate Фε of turbulent kinetic energy (TKE) is evaluated from u-spectrum, as a quantity required in the last technique. Ratio of the eddy transfer coefficients. α (= Kh / Km,), is calculated from Фm and Фh estimations. The results from various techniques are compared with each other and with some available empirical results in the tower-layer. It is shown that the empirical relationships determined by mean profiles and ISC methods in the tower-layer turbulence are in agreement with each other and with some other results.  相似文献

The rare occurrence of te halos produced by cirrus ice crystals in nature has been investigated by modelling the incident solar (visible) light scattering angular distribution using the Monte Carlo/ray tracing method.The results show that the irregular shapes of ice crystals and large population of small ice particles in cirrus are responsible forthe rare occurrence of halos.  相似文献

计算了各年南海夏季风建立前后流场的场相似度、场比幅、季风分量动能强度指数和突变度.指出按变差度最大或相似度绝对值最小及其变化最陡以及比幅最小,可客观定量地定出季风来临的预兆日期,在大多年份该日期比用天气气候学方法得到的季风来临(爆发)日期要早些,且两者有较好正相关.绝大多数年份季风建立时有环流突变发生,但也有少数年份呈调和变化或二次突变.季风分量动能强度指数能够反映各年南海夏季风建立后的强度.最后分析指出,南海850hPa夏季风的前兆日期,突变度和强度指数都有明显的年际和年代际变化.  相似文献

在建立大型品种、气候及农业气候指标数据库的基础上,依据农业气候相似原理,即采用对作物生长、发育和产量形成有决定意义的关键气候要素,开发出“热带、亚热带作物引种气候咨询系统”。该系统可迅速查询26000多个热带、亚热带作物品种的信息,世界20000多个站点的气候资料,计算针对某品种而言,广东86个站点与世界各地的农业气候相似程度,并输出农业气候相似专用地图。  相似文献

台风路径可视为二维平面上的一段曲线,根据两条台风路径曲线的相似离度可以判断其数值相似和形态相似的程度。由于直接应用台风基本资料进行相似离度计算有一定的难度和局限性,需要研究利用相似离度原理判断两条台风路径曲线相似程度的计算方法。按照设计的算法处理台风基本资料,可以确定两条台风路径曲线上的对应控制点,得到两条曲线对应控制点之间的距离和距离偏差的方向,最终只需在一个方向计算相似离度就能直接分析两条曲线的相似性。对相似台风进行检索的实例表明,该算法是可行的,能够从台风基本资料库中检索出与当前台风路径最相似的台风个例。  相似文献

A new method for deduction of the sensible heat flux is validated with three sets of published SODAR (sound detection and ranging) data. Although the related expressions have previously been confirmed by the author with surface layer data, they have not yet been validated with observations from the boundary layer before this work. In the study, selected SODAR data are used to test the method for the convective boundary layer. The sensible heat flux (SHF) retrieved from SODAR data is found to decrease linearly with height in the mixed layer. The surface sensible heat fluxes derived from the deduced sensible heat flux profiles under convective conditions agree well with those measured by the eddy correlation method. The characteristics of SHF profiles deduced from SODAR data in different places reflect the background meteorology and terrain. The upper part of the SHF profile (SHFP) for a complicated terrain is found to have a different slope from the lower part. It is suggested that the former reflects the advective characteristic of turbulence in upwind topography. A similarity relationship for the estimation of SHFP in a well mixed layer with surface SHF and zero-heat-flux layer height is presented.  相似文献

We derive a conceptual model of the flow over heterogeneous terrain consisting of patches with contrasting Bowen ratios. Upward moving eddies are assumed to carry heterogeneous properties, whereas downward moving eddies carry homogeneous properties. This results in a decorrelation of temperature and humidity as the contrast between the patches increases. We show that this model is able to reproduce the relationship developed by Lamaud and Irvine (Boundary-Layer Meteorol. 120:87–109, 2006). Some details differ from their expression but are in accordance with data obtained over African savannah. We extend the conceptual model to a combination of any scalars, not necessarily linked through the surface energy balance (as is the case for temperature and humidity). To this end we introduce a new parameter that describes the surface heterogeneity in surface fluxes. The results of the current model can be used to predict the discrepancy between similarity relationships for different scalars over heterogeneous terrain.  相似文献

The presence of a low-level, capping inversion layer will affect the height and structure of the planetary boundary layer (PBL). Results from models of varying levels of sophistication, including analytical, turbulent kinetic energy (TKE), second-order closure (SOC), large-eddy simulation (LES) and direct numerical simulation (DNS) models, are used to investigate this influence for the neutral, barotropic PBL. Predicted and observed profiles of stress and geostrophic departure components, and integral measures, such as the parameters of Rossby-number similarity theory, are compared for the KONTUR, Marine Stratocumulus, JASIN, Leipzig, Pre-Wangara and Upavon field experiments.Analytical models of the equilibrium value of inversion height zi, which depend on the surface friction velocity u*, and both the Coriolis parameter f and the free-flow Brunt-Väisälä frequency N, are found to give reasonable estimates of the PBL height. They also indicate that only the KONTUR and Marine Stratocumulus experiments were strongly influenced by N. More quantitative comparisons would require larger, more comprehensive datasets. The effects of the presence of a capping inversion on the profile structure were found to be insignificant for h* = |f|zi/u* > 0.15.The simple analytical model performed quite well over all values of h*; it predicted the profiles of the longitudinal stress component (in the direction of the surface stress) better than the lateral component. The more advanced models performed well for small values of h* (for flow over the sea), but systematically underestimated the cross-isobaric angle for flow over land. These models predicted the profiles of the lateral stress component better than the longitudinal component. The profiles of the analytical model agreed with those of the advanced models when the constant eddy viscosity of the outer layer was increased.Agreement with DNS was achieved by increasing the eddyviscosity of the analytical model by a factor of 5.Zilitinkevich and Esau(2002, Boundary-Layer Meteorology, 104, 371–379)suggest that the neutral, barotropic values of A and B of Rossby-numbersimilarity theory are not universal constants, but depend on the ratio N/|f|. The dependence for A and B is calculated using the analytical model and TKE models. Over the sea (h* 0.1; N/|f| 100, where we have used the Zilitinkevich-Esau relation to convert between h* and N/|f|) there is agreement between the model predictions and observations; however over land where the equilibrium boundary-layer height is greater (h* 0.35; N/|f| 10) the inconsistency between the advanced model predictions (TKE, SOC, LES, and DNS) and observations, as noted previously by Hess and Garratt, still exists. We attribute this disagreement to violations of the strict assumptions of steady, horizontally homogeneous, neutral, barotropic conditions implicit in the observations. At small values of zi and a strongly stable background stratification (h* 0.04; N/|f| 1000) both the TKE and analytical models predict that A and B depend significantly on h*, however observations are unavailable to confirm these predictions. Zilitinkevich and Esau call this case the `long-lived near-neutral PBL', and state that it is found in cold weather at high latitudes.  相似文献
